How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

Help me understand why we didn't play 4-2-3-1 Souza, VDV, Dragu, Porro; Paulinha, Gallagher/Biss; Richie/Tell, Xavi, Kolo; Solanke?

Sack Frank back in November or early December, bring in a permanent coach and back them with 3-4 signings in January and this isn't an issue. Mismanagement at every turn once again from those trusted to run the club. Levt, Vinai, Lange, the Lewis family... every single one of them is hopeless at making effective decisions. EDIT: Someone thought this was so controversial they quietly smashed the down arrow. Because the alternative is going so well?

Dropping Vicario is the absolute dumbest thing i keep hearing from people on here. Who do we bring in? Austin? Kinsky? Kinsky has made a massive error every single time he has been in a shirt leading to us conceding. Twice ive seen Kinsky get down from a 35 yard "Shot" on the ball bounces through his hands ffs. Vicario made 2 incredible saves today that saved us from a drubbing and could do nothing for the 2 goals that did go in. Vicario being removed is absolutely pointless.

Gray is doing nothing to justify him being worth £40m and is luckily a championship player so will be fine next season. Straight From the Fans
The best fan quotes from this match — the funny, the sharp, the viral. These are ready to use in your video, in subtitles, or as thumbnails.
"Remember that we have lost 13 games this season ( though it feels like more). Need to lose another 9 to get to 22 losses like last season. That is how bad it was last season. We were bloody lucky to not get relegated last season and the only reason we didn’t is because the bottom 3 were even worse than us!"
"We’re going down. I’ve said it since the beginning of the year. The players are not good enough to compete in the Premier League. Some of them were when the arrived, but the league has got better and is above them now. We missed on every recruitment opportunity for an entire decade now, coach, management, and players, and everyone is surprised this is happening. This is what happens to clubs when they’re mismanaged from the top to bottom for a decade. It’s done guys, the club will never be the same because of it. Lewis and Levy killed it out of their own greed"
"Scary shit is that I can't see where our next win will come from. Wolves? Hell, we always lose to them even at our best. Every team is itching to play us at the moment."
"Im convicned the big players are purposely trying to get us sent down so they get sold. Think of it from their point of view. The Europa was pretty lucky but it was a chance for the owners to really kick on and invest in the team. They didnt so if you are VDV, Romero, Udogie etc who are wanted by top clubs, and the board wont sell you, what do you do? Its not like they ate on massive monet comparatively, they arent likely to win anything in their tenure at Spurs, so why stick around? The board wont invest, you have to play every game for managers who dont have a clue and a board who only care about profits. Any good player who is signed for us is literally wasting their career. They have shown enough for big clubs to want them, now its just a matter of time for them to get their transfer and since it might mean 3 to 5 years better to push the club into it. How can we have been so close to relegation last season but the owners didnt strengthen the team? Its insanity, they have lost champs league football from next season onwards, Im actually wondering if Levy has got us in such a great financial situation that we dont need even premiership football as its genuinely insane how they have let this happen. Even in the summer, they should have really spent but maybe they are literally allergic to spending, lile they cant physically do it? Who knows but this is madness and why should we bother with this rubbish? I was enjoying my day as was my father then we come together to get wound up watching that. I feel sorry for anyone who has a season ticket."
"Everyone’s complaining to much. We have a chance to win a league next year! COYS!"
"Scary thing is you have to add in that refs are actively going against us too and when teans who have nowt to play for in 5 or so games time will pick and choose who they play well against. Much like when Leicester won the league there will be worldies against us."
"All a part of the "long-term" plan. You can't tell me this isn't some Vinai Arsenal-based scheme. Don't sign enough cover for the injuries; loan out every single young player just in case, so we have no depth. They'll literally do everything wrong and then try to justify it. It's hard for me not to want the club to get relegated just so they can actually face the consequences of their actions. A window of just Conor Gallagher when we were staring relegation in the face is worse than anything in the 20 years of Levy. Even in the season we didn't sign anyone, at least we already knew we were good."
"But they won't face consequences. If we get relegated the lewis kids sell, continue to be nepo billionaires, and the whole club colapses under it's debts with us the fans being the only ones to suffer."
"Players looked nothing like this last season or the season before. Did they look tired, disjointed, especially in the later half of the season where we rotated kids and the B team in? For sure. But i never once believed last year, going to home and away games watching, that the players had downed tools or just given up on the pitch. The firing of the manager (Rightly or wrongly) to replace him with someone like Frank was the quickest way to completely destroy the harmony around the squad and i said it back in June and was told i was wrong that we would see the players down tools and not give a shit because they absolutely had a bond with Ange and Frank had no real Ego or Legacy behind him to get the players on side. Away from managers though. Its absolutely the Board. The players are knackered. We have upper management telling managers that they HAVE to finish top4/5 in the league and giving them fuck all players to do it with. Thats the reason we keep running our good players into the ground until they get injured. Because the managers cant afford to rotate them with our "Squad" who aren't anywhere ready to play 90 minutes of PL football. (As Ange found out and fans should have realised at the end of last season)"
"Sack Frank back in November or early December, bring in a permanent coach and back them with 3-4 signings in January and this isn't an issue. Mismanagement at every turn once again from those trusted to run the club. Levt, Vinai, Lange, the Lewis family... every single one of them is hopeless at making effective decisions. EDIT: Someone thought this was so controversial they quietly smashed the down arrow. Because the alternative is going so well?"

"Waited way too long to sack frank now we are suffering"
That's the least of it.
Couldn’t agree with you more. His legacy continues +
[deleted]
“Frank was a little more mediocre than Postecoglu last season” is a bad take. Frank was a bad manager for us. Managing players/dressing room is half the job (you can even say that it is the more important half, as we are seeing this season). If the dressing room was rotten before he arrived then it was his job was to fix it and he should be held accountable. People’s frustration with Frank wasn’t that he caused the rot, it was that he very obviously had zero ideas on how to stop it and made it worse. He is a major reason that we are in a relegation scrap and not a disappointing mid-table club.
Some ppl still won’t admit we got last summer completely wrong
Starting with hiring Frank. Edit: Scrub that. Firing Ange. I wasn't his biggest fan but the man deserved to start the new season.
[deleted]
I agree we’ve been on a downwards trajectory for the last 6 years so it goes on a lot longer than last summer. However that decision in a vacuum was the wrong one imo I believe the single biggest misstep this club has made in that time was not fully backing Conte after we got CL with him
For sure, we had that brief moment of being a top 4 club again, pulled ahead of arsenal and just needed to go all out to get the players Conte wanted, I mean he would have been long gone by now either way but at least we could have been looking at better replacements than Ange and Frank, both the kind of appointments that clubs with very limited ambitions make.
We got about 7 summers in row completely wrong outside 1 or 2 players.
"Pombo, may you stay healthy and available from now till the end of the season. Good to see Porro and Danso back, and an encouraging cameo from Souza. Hope others return soon!"
If Spurs stay up a Richi apology form must go to everyone clamoring to sell him to Saudi.
Assuming Pombo is Richarlison, no idea where that name comes from. He won't stay fit, he never does & he's not very good.
Make him captain. The only one who gives a shit.
Only player of ours I think I fully trust in a relegation dog fight, let Kolo Muani get the minutes in the CL and away to Liverpool etc but the games against Palace, Everton, Forest, Wolves etc Richarlison is first name on the team sheet. +
He and Archie seem like the only ones that care at all.
Souza, Tel, Richarlison, Xavi and Gray (who played bad) at least put in the effort. More than you can say for the rest of our squad just on that they should be starting the next games
Gray’s assist with his weak foot was pretty solid though +
Gray assisted our only goal and could have had another assist after a great pass to Tel, who fucked around instead of shooting. I hope some day Archie Gray gets to play in a team where the players around him have any semblance of football IQ and for an actual manager. +
Exactly. In a good team, Archie will be fantastic +
Xavi?! You think Xavi put in the effort? Kid’s on 200k a week and did literally nothing. Richarlison is the only one who can come out of that game with his head held high. Everyone else was utter crap
"It cannot be understated how absolutely shit our players are. They are truly terrible, no confidence or belief in themselves whatsoever. No manager in the world could get a tune out of these players"
The fans at the match and here call them absolute trash, then ppl wonder why (among other reasons), they have no confidence
Those same players won the Europa League last year and have put in some decent performances this year, particularly in Europe again. They can't be as shit as you imply, just badly organised and lacking confidence. Give the new manager some more time before writing them all off.
We were favorites before a ball was even kicked. If Bodo had a fully fit team they would have played us off the pitch. We beat a United team who were as far up shits creek as we were, but they have since turned it around. While we are still in the same position, arguably worse off, than last season.
United won the EL final last season. To win a game you need to score a goal and scoring a goal with 0 shots on target is kinda hard.
Oh fuck off.
The players celebrating that final so much tells you all you need to know about how mentally weak they are. Any half decent player is livid after that game but instead these players think they actually won something.
Again, just fuck off.
MOTM for Spurs was Luke Shaw. What an incredible player he was that day. +
Mate, cups are not won by winning one game. Now fuck off.
How much time? Enough time to get us relegated?
"Say what you will about tactics, it's nice to see our manager come out and call it what it is: Cheating. Either PGMOL apologise for last week or they apologise for today. You can't say both decisions"
They already doubled down on last week. Can’t wait to see the song and dance this week. +
They’re absolutely not the same thing. Radu actually got pushed!
Who cares about last week??? They still scored 4, we wouldnt have won regardless
Yeah all the England fans should shut up about Lampard’s goal being over the line. The game finished 4-1, England were never going to win. Don’t see why FIFA brought in goal-line technology, really.
Would’ve been 2-2 which completely changes the game, we could’ve held on for a draw or went for it, who knows. But we got shafted so our heads dropped and they scored more
Changes the complexion of the game. After a while consistently being on the arse-end of refereeing calls is going to demoralise a team.
Exactly, it was the timing
More like the FA charge him and give him a ban for calling the refs shite
They absolutely will say both decisions were correct. The commentary on sky was saying they're completely different scenarios - Gabriel wasn't in the air at the point of the push while Dragusin was. In my mind, I'd think it's harder to be strong when in the air as opposed to not but I'm obviously not very bright.
Both should be fouls, you’re not allowed to push people with both hands. It’s a clear impediment. They’ve turned our sport into a rugby hybrid.
"I don't understand why the club is so silent on things like this. If I risked losing a fuck-tonne of my money through relegation because of incompetency/corruption like this, I would be all over it."
Am as frustrated as any fan, been supporting the club since the 80s and feels pretty bad right now, probably recency bias but can we stop with the corruption excuses? Makes us sound pathetic! The decisions are a joke right now but let's own it and be better! Remember a few years ago, Arteta early days, trust the process, them against us shit, a v good Arsenal mate was all, everyone is against us, media and refs etc and he's far more level headed than I am, but he sounded pathetic, he knows it too. Don't know what I'm trying to say but let's be better! How we are in this position amazes me but we are, so let's keep our fucking heads, cos the players certainly aren't!
Delusional freeze frame losers the lot of you 😂
It’s because Tottenham has this false idea of being “the gentleman’s club”. Complaints like these are suppose to be beneath us. It is, of course, all bullshit. And look at the clubs that are the loudest against refs, they’re constantly getting decisions their way because the refs are scared of them and the backlash
Is it really hard to put 2 and 2 together? Why are they silent? Because they don’t care. How long more are we gonna ignore the obvious. The owners just don’t give a fuck. Edit: Do some of you even care about this club? Levy gone. Frank gone and some of you aren’t willing to put blame on the owners
It's spite. They want us to go down.
A reminder that Vinai and Lange are both outspoken Arsenal supporters
Conte knew years ago Spurs were fucked due to ownership
How on earth can this be true? Even if they are in it only for the money then they would still care massively?
They don't care about losing hundreds of million through relegation?
This take is as dumb as the decision

How many yellows did Bassey escape? How many minutes were wasted just for the ref to blow as soon as he could? How many fouls? How many 50/50s? Ignoring the obvious error, it's clear there's something very wrong with how we're being refereed.

Say what you will about tactics, it's nice to see our manager come out and call it what it is: Cheating. Either PGMOL apologise for last week or they apologise for today. You can't say both decisions are correct if they are the same thing.

strong , duel, it's fantastic, I like it. But there is a logic, if the goal is, because he take advantage, not thinking about football, he was not thinking about the ball, he was thinking how to cheat. So, he cheated the player with pushing and they scored the goal. (contd)

Tottenham is bad enough to go down on their own, but stacking up the numbers of these 50/50s against them this season, they would probably have gotten at least 3 more points and have been safe. Bad luck compounded by what must surely be thought of as some sort of conspiracy again…

unpopular opinion: our fans are part of the problem, these players are better than this shit, but for anybody with just a basic understanding of sports psychology it’s clear this is a mental block, chanting you are not fit to wear this shirt has an opposite reaction, do people think they want to lose? get relegated etc?
