How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

Captivating Talking Points
Ndiaye is probably our best player in terms of overall quality but I think post afcon he hasn’t been quite as good as before. He’s still been good, don’t get me wrong, but he’s not really getting goals and assists, which don’t tell the whole story, but are important for a forward

Believer Gana offers nothing going forwards and mcNeil starts to struggle past the 60th minute. Armstrong and Dibling would be amazing right now. That means Barry in the 85th and that's it

"Beto plays a decent game... Barry gets dropped. Rohl plays a decent game... never seen again. Playing the same lineup 2 days a later in a very very different game is fucking crazy. No idea why Armstro"
I’m still yet to see anything from Rohl that can convince he is worthy of a place on the bench once. I really don’t rate him at all. However, he’s still youngish and has to settle to I hope he can adjust and get better.
So you didn’t watch the game against Villa i take it
I did see it. But I didn’t think he played as well as others made out afterwards on here and other platforms.
He was excellent, deserves more minutes than none +
To get more minutes, he needs to knock KDH out of the side and he’s not good enough to do that. He can’t pass the ball like Garner to take his place, and he can’t tackle, read the game and intercept like Gueye to play as one of the two 6’s.
Moyes could use his subs more
He’s never done that though has he? It’s rare to see him make major adjustments from the bench. I hope he throws George on early, as I’d like to see more of him.
Then it’s something he needs to improve upon
It’s easier to just accept that Moyes is stuck in his ways. He’s ultra cautious and frustrating at times, but it’s hard to argue with his results.
One could argue that Moyes’ stubbornness is why some results haven’t been better
"Can't see dibling getting any minutes this season. What do we think happens in the summer? Surely has to go. Every minute he stays we are losing money"
Loan him out and hope he remembers how to play football. He simply hasn't done enough to earn a place in our XI when he's had the chance so far. We got bent over with the fee we paid for him, but it doesn't mean we have to weaken our team playing him when he's so obviously off the pace.
Has to be something like this for Dibling and Rohl - makes little sense otherwise not to get them on the pitch
It crazy to have such a small squad and just freeze out youngsters.
Loan maybe?
Why not put him on loan in Jan?
We put him on loan in Jan and all the sudden Ndiaye gets injured and is out for the season, Tyrique George gets 2 red cards and has a long ban and then were left with McMessi as a winger
Dunno, that’s what I’d have done
If we sell him in the summer we will be hemorrhaging losses. I'd guess he gets a loan
Maybe. It gets more baffling by the minute though to drop that much money on him.
We should have known this by end of January right? He hasn't played since then? He and aznou not leaving on loan, but also not getting a single minute with the team or u21s is insane.
"Starting to think we're safe from relegation "
Crazy how 40 points used to be the target for safety and here we are sitting 6 points off of 5th.
Well yeah we are at 40 pts with 10 games still to go what are you on about?  That’d be like saying two months crazy how 40 points used to be the target for safety and here Arsenal are sitting atop the table.
The chart has earned a nice rest. +

Way too much information, but I giggled nonetheless. I guess that's what a home win does. +
Incredible duel between them for player of the season. +
Not including Pickford obviously
Low socks on KDH has him a nose ahead for me
Ndiaye would like a word
Ndiaye is probably our best player in terms of overall quality but I think post afcon he hasn’t been quite as good as before. He’s still been good, don’t get me wrong, but he’s not really getting goals and assists, which don’t tell the whole story, but are important for a forward
He got an assist today, and a goal had Gueye passed it on time +
"Of course Pickford turns into prime Yashin ahead of the WC. What a keeper he is."
This was an uneventful game by his standards. He's been fucking class for years but people remember a mistake he made 7 years ago and assume he must be shit
Never thought he was shit but I'm impressed by the complete lack of mistakes he makes. Hasn't put a foot wrong all season which is extremely impressive for a keeper. +
I mean he saved 2 pens in the 2021 Euros and we still lost. Always been quality, he's just cut the mistakes out since 5 years ago. Might be biased but I genuinely think he's top 3 in the league.
Would say it's between him and Raya
Think donnarumma has a shout too tbf
Yeah thats why I said top 3, but tbh put any of those 3 in either team and they're all up there. I do rate Allisson but think he's had a huge drop off in the past year.
He’s always like this
This is trouble with those that only watch the "big 6" all the time. In the past 5 or so years we've conceded a lot against them, so they'd only be seeing Pickford conceding goals. But if you watched him all the time, you'd know that his mistakes are few and far between. In fairness, I'd say you could level that argument against any fan who only watches their own team play; you can only judge a player for what you've seen of them!

Keep in mind where we've been recently with Rafa, Frank and Dychey, if someone said to you that right now we would have 43 points with 9 games left you would have been fucking buzzing.

Well yeah we are at 40 pts with 10 games still to go what are you on about?  That’d be like saying two months crazy how 40 points used to be the target for safety and here Arsenal are sitting atop the table.

45+1' It's almost 2-0 as Branthwaite meets a swinging cross and heads on target, only to be denied by the goalkeeper. Dewsbury-Hall then sees an effort deflect wide and McNeil tests Dubravka once more. [1-0] #EVEBUR

McNeil is best against a defensive team because 1) pace does not matter as much and 2) attacking against a low block requires much more precise passing and crossing than, say, counter-attacking does. With Burnley sitting off, every time he gets the ball it can be treated like a p…

I mean he saved 2 pens in the 2021 Euros and we still lost. Always been quality, he's just cut the mistakes out since 5 years ago. Might be biased but I genuinely think he's top 3 in the league.

@BurnleyOfficial Get the away fans refunded. 1 shot in the whole game after the brilliant attacking work in the 2nd half on Saturday is a disgrace. Not a chance I'm renewing my season ticket for next season when you're serving this up and keeping the manager in place. Disgraceful

@Everton Good win against a very weak Burnley side. Glad Moyes finally had the courage to sub Gueye off and put Dibling and George, even if it was very late.. Still no sign of Röhl though, and that first half performance must never be repeated. Let's hope finish the season/Moyes …
