How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

How is Slot still in the job? Any manager of a big club after this many horror performances and losses would be sacked. Keeps playing Gakpo and Salah and they keep stinking out every pitch they step onto. Captivating Talking Points
Losing to relegation fodder and I'm not even surprised. That might be the worst part. Mo got the goal, but he looks done. Absolutely done. Gakpo is awful, Macca looks like Bambi on ice and Grav can't win a duel to save his life. We play like shit and create almost nothing. Now Chelsea gets the chance to catch up. Fuming.

Shite pass from Jones to Alisson, I knew straight away the clearance would be crap. Wins the ball back in our corner and takes an age on the ball for us to just concede. Gakpo is still gonna start next game even though he’s useless. Another week another Rio performance showing he brings way more to the team. Not buying a 6 killed the season before it started, Grav and Macca are not defensive mi…

As much as I blame Slot that final goal just shows that the players are as much to blame as Slot. "horrendous. only started trying after we conceded. why?"
This is what I don't understand with this team. You're 0-0 at 75 minutes, where's the urgency? Step up the pace, because 75 minutes of Slotball hasn't given you F all.
Then promptly stopped again after equalising
Because thats slots philosophy. Play to not lose. Then panick and play to draw when losing.
Bro shut up what is Slot going to do when Salah can't do a clear cut pass to make it 2-1 and Konate slows down instead of tackling them? Plus the shitty deflection. We have no wingers and it shows. I wish we benched Salah again and play Frimpong there and on the other side play Rio. Something new at least.
No, you shut up. Salah can be bad and slot can be a terrible manager. They can both co exist. Slot is a terrible manager that plays to not lose. If you understand football you can see it clear as day. Explain why our team doesnt start crossing the ball until being down a goal? Because theyre trained to recycle the ball back to the fullback or midfielder that cones short to the winger. If you dont understand what youre watching just say that. Im not here to go back and forth on individual chances, im judging the tactical approach which is blatantly negative. I mean Klopp was more exciting with youth squad players ffs
Yeah man we saw last year how much he sets up to lose. Bullshit. He has been let down by the board not getting legit wingers and Salah being shit and throwing tantrums when he gets benched. He cannot do anything at a high level anymore. We've been left with Gakpo and Rio as LW and RW it's just Salah and Chiesa but both are equally shit. Slot has done a lot of shit wrong but this game he didn't do anything wrong. Sometimes players aren't putting in their effort.
So, slot is worth keeping after 1 good season where all other teams were either in transition, had many injuries, or had terrible managers of their own. But Salah should be sent away after one bad season when hes a literal premier league and Liverpool legend who has broken every record and one every team and individual trophy. Do you realize how asinine that sounds? Its literally slots job to make those decisions. To bench Salah if hes playing bad or to find ways to bring his confidence back. To bench Gakpo or instruct him to stop cutting in over and over and involve Ekitike or Kerkez. Its his job to manage the players because hes the MANAGER. Thats why Klopp succeeded. We are not City or Madrid where we can just buy players when one is starting to dip. He isnt allowed to be Pep or Anceloti or Zidane. Its the opposite of what happened to Alonso at RM. He wanted to man manage Vinny and the whole club and country told him to go f himself. Thats what we need at Liverpool. A man manager. Period.
And then play to lose after you achieve the draw
This is such horseshit man. We had the ball the whole time, what we were dreadful at was our finishing.
Damn bro, look what having the ball got us 🔥🔥🔥. We will surely win next by just farming possession in our half +
"Slot working overtime to make sure the PL isn’t boring, talk about love of the game."
How's he still there is beyond me, I would be offering the entire city to Xabi if I was them
What can Slot do if the entire team has written off the season
He won us a title but the club are giving him way more leeway than he deserves. This sport is ruthless and when you have Alonso as an option right there, I cannot see the logic in keeping Slot at the club when there’s a good chance that we won’t even make the CL places at this rate.
Extenuating circumstances mainly the Jota situation + he won the league last year. Also, Xabi's taking a break and won't join mid-season. If we don't get top 5 there's no doubt in my mind he's gone.
Is it really so bad as to immediately sack him? They're fifth and won three of the last five.  This is after winning the league last year...
FSG isn't a sacking club. He won us the title last season, he is almost tied for the most wins in 100 games in club history (after King Kenny) and we have improved since November. Think we give him until the end of the season and if our results and style don't improve he is sacked after the last game. +
He won the league last season and will probably make the champions league this season? Still in the UCL last 16 and fa cup? Sacking him would be incredibly reactionary imo.
It wouldn’t if you’ve watched our games
I think if you’ve watched every Liverpool game this season like a lot of fans have, you’d understand why we are so done with him. He’s genuinely not the same manger as last season, it’s insane.
What would you say the biggest differences are? I have noticed there's been some games this season where he'll force a player into a position that doesn't seem to suit them...
"Losing to relegation fodder and I'm not even surprised. That might be the worst part. Mo got the goal, but he looks done. Absolutely done. Gakpo is awful, Macca looks like Bambi on ice and Grav can't"
> Mo got the goal, but he looks done. Absolutely done That 4v2 where he took 3 years to pass... wtf was that My king is washed
"**relegation fodder**" They're bottom of the league mate and Burnley are 3 points ahead of them (they were 6 points ahead of them going into this game) with game in hand
Brilliant pass by Jones to force a rushed clearance from a penned in Ali to lead to the goal. That would get you chewed out and benched for a month at the youth level.
I cannot believe slot left him on the entire match.
[removed]
Excuses ?
Just context, I never said that excuses the result, so I don't understand how it could be seen as an excuse.
Fuck off with form. We spunked a shitload in summer and we lost to the bottom fodder team
70% of that money was spent on two players, both of which didn't feature in the squad tonight. How is that remotely relevant?
Imagine talking about travel and an extra days rest against the team set to drop into the championship. Shitload of an excuse
"Playing like absolute shit every week.  Players look comically unfit. Barely scrape by some of the worst teams in the league though?  All good according to loads in this place.  He's shown us "
Agreed. I've been done with him for ages. His level is the Eredivisie.
I know right? Yeah we were undefeated but i absolutely despise watching slot's ball and nothing will change with him.
You sum up perfectly how I feel. +
You took the words out of my mouth. Absolutely have no passion when watching us at all. I'm not one to miss any of our games even when we are shit, so it's fucking killing me watching the same boring slow football with no passion shown out of possession to win the ball back, and then we didn't even win. Sucked the energy right out of me. I'm sure many of us feel the same. I'm not saying that there's no boring games under Jurgen, but those are so few and far between. And even if we were down by 2 or even 3 goals, I absolutely still have the belief that we can come back under him. Because the players are fighting for every ball INSIDE THE OPPONENT HALF. But now? I have no confidence that we can comeback on any situation at all. Sucked the belief out of the fans and the teams.
People love to point at periods during Klopp's time when we were out of form to defend Slot as well. But the difference was with Klopp they were downs in between massive, massive highs and although I might have expected some painful games during his time, I was never certain it would only get worse. With Slot he has quite literally only been getting worse since he got here. Yeah, winning the league was an obvious high, but it was basically formed off a really good start. Post his new manager bounce and the league getting time to work him out, he has looked completely out of his depth. It's been nearly a full calendar year now since we had a sustained period of looking close to an acceptable level. We were out of form when it was bad with Klopp. We are in Slot's actual form now and have been all season.  Even Rodgers got an 84 point season and had us at a higher points total in 14/15 than we are now.
There's no use fretting about it, he'll be gone at the end of the season anyway. Let's just hope we scrape top 5 in the meantime 🤷
At this point I'd need to see it to believe it. Some of the press leaks from our journos heavily imply Edwards and Hughes have their egos firmly buried in their hiring of Slot and all the puff pieces they put out about themselves being geniuses last year getting him. They genuinely need their hand forced it seems. If he gets champions league football, they might genuinely keep him on and write this season off as a whoopise.
Exactly. Rafa was working miracles when Hicks and Gillett were destroying the club. Hodgson was shite but look at the team we had back then. Rodgers was able to get the very best out of Suarez/Sturridge/Gerrard in that 13/14 season and was able to get a lot out of players like Flanagan and Allen as well who weren't exactly world beaters We don't need to compare him to Klopp to recognize he's not good enough. I wouldn't take him over every manager we've had in the last 30 years aside from Hodgson. Rafa and Houllier easily clear him. Evans was very underrated and Rodgers could get us to play some brilliant attacking football. Kenny in his 2nd stint was able to stabilize the club after a disastrous situation and he understood the club and the mentality that should be demanded
How can the owners not see United improve massively after sacking their manager and decide to support Slot
A temp who literally just raises the fitness levels of the squad up would instantly improve us. It's not like we're being saved by Slot's tactics so even if someone useless on that front came in, our players would still likely get more done just being fitter and not being held back by his shite system.

I feel so vindicated after everyone was trying to gaslight me about Gakpo and Diaz last year. Ffs
Turns out he only looked useful in sub appearances after Diaz had ran whoever ragged.
For real, I don’t want to see another minute of him or slot
"the hate he gets is so unjustified😞" man I'm gonna invent slurs that the English vocabulary can't even comprehend
Gakpo has 6 goals. 0/6 are from outside the box, only 1/6 is more than 15 yards out, and 3/6 are from within the 6 yard box. This is for a man who's signature move is cutting in a shooting from far. So if you "don't understand the hate" Gakpo gets, it's that his playing style and toolset are producing 0 goals. He pops up to tap in loose balls in the box, which is fine but not enough for Liverpoo's starting LW who needs to be threatening for 90 mins. Unless he's there to tap in a loose ball, his usual moves do nothing for the team. This makes him a frustrating player.
Two things can be true, why cant you people have nuance? You can criticize him when he performs bad, but some of you seem to be singling him out, wishing he doesn’t score or he gets a red. For example this is a scrap, everyone is  watching the ball and trying to get to at the end, and Gakpo gets stuck in, he is not trying to stop a fellow Liverpool player from scoring , yet it’s getting treated like he did it on purpose. This literally happens every game Did Salah pass to a Wolves player on purpose on a 4v 2? Y’all need to get a grip
Salah also needs to be gone. So there’s that.

It’s sad how he’s been this season. He doesn’t even look happy after scoring (understandable considering the state of the game). I hope he knows we all love him for all he has done for us, and that doses not change no matter how he is performing this season.

I've been telling the NFFC subreddit for a while that you guys were always going to catch Derby cause you were way better then your point total suggested

The worst thing Slot has done to this team is make me feel like I don't care anymore. These performances are so shit that I don't really care anymore if I miss a game. Under Klopp I never felt like that. I was always excited to watch because we could be so electric and exciting. Slot has coached all the creativity out of this team.

I’ve said this all season but I just can’t understand how Slot doesn’t realise that Gakpo and Salah are better players when they are in and around the penalty box, they are good finishers, they are not 1v1 threats so why he plays them high and wide is beyond me. Frimpong and Kerkez are 1v1 threats and can deliver a good ball, if he had Gakpo and Salah narrow, it might just occupy the opponents…
