How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

He played Rio and dropped Salah and Konate but still somehow the majority of our daft fans will find a way to blame Slot, let me guess it was Gakpo’s fault as to the way Robbo and Virgil got bullied by Muani an it was Slots fault Gomez leaves Richarlison for the goal ?

Are you talking about Wirtz? Maybe if it wasn’t so congested in his area he might have a bit of time to find a pass. Unfortunately our set up is fucking useless for both him and our wingers. Just a cluster fuck of players in red tops standing in each other’s space watching. The midfield looks lost at times. Like no one knows where to place a pass because we put ourselves under pressure. Slot is just very poor at tactics and getting the best out of his players.

Funnily enough Gakpo actually made couple of great passes and was then subbed off immediately So Slot keeps him in as long as he plays like shit
+0.639 reddit factual contradiction length sweet spot high specificity
Yeah, they don't have the same connection clearly. Hard to see where Gakpo fits in the current team. Doesn't hold up the ball well enough for a striker option, isn't a good enough dribbler to beat a man on the wings or in the false 9, and isn't quick enough to beat a man from the endline.

Don’t know how we can even blame Slot for that. Professional defenders conceding a goal like that? You see that crap on FIFA, not the PL. And what is wrong with Salah? Had he forgotten how to shoot? @NicJ_27 @AlasdairGold I’d argue it actually does make sense tactically. Spence is a more comfortable 1v1 defender, Souza is seemingly the only left footed player who can play there and provide width.

Emerging
Supporters are outraged that officials failed to award multiple clear corners during the match, with some claiming up to six were missed, leading to a breakdown in trust over refereeing standards. Forward Play Breakdown – Selfishness and Ball Retention
Fans are frustrated that their team's attacking players are too greedy and impatient in the final third, prioritising individual glory over intelligent passing and keeping possession. Danso's Rise Sparks Romero and VdV Debate
Emerging Controversial
Fans are praising Kevin Danso's impressive performances and suggesting he's proved himself as a reliable defensive option, which has prompted debate about whether established stars Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martínez should be benched or fighting for their places. The discussion reveals underlying frustration with Romero's perceived attitude and commitment, with some supporters arguing that Danso's maturity and consistency might actually be better for squad morale than maintaining the status quo.
Liverpool's Unconvincing Spurs Performance Sparks Ridicule
Emerging Controversial
Fans are heavily criticising Liverpool's struggling display against a weakened Tottenham side, with many arguing that the performance made a poor Spurs team look far better than they actually are. The consensus is brutal: if you can't dominate a bottom-half Tottenham convincingly at home, something's seriously wrong with your own team's mentality and execution.
Fans Share Reaction Gifs Without Context
Emerging
A large thread of 146 posts consists almost entirely of fans exchanging animated gifs with minimal commentary, creating a somewhat cryptic discussion where the only legible text reference is "give him the french treatment" — suggesting this may be about a player receiving criticism or facing consequences, though the gif-heavy nature makes the exact narrative difficult to pin down.
Slot's Baffling Gakpo Obsession Divides Fanbase
Emerging
Supporters are tearing into manager Arne Slot over what they perceive as inexplicable, almost personal favouritism towards Cody Gakpo, with fans questioning why the winger keeps starting despite poor performances whilst better alternatives get overlooked. The criticism has become so intense that some are now questioning whether Slot has even lost Gakpo's backing, with the debate centring on whether this is tactical stubbornness or something far more peculiar.
Mac Allister Under Fire For Inconsistent Midfield Play
Controversial
Liverpool fans are absolutely fuming with Alexis Mac Allister's performances this season, with multiple supporters claiming he's consistently getting overrun in midfield, giving away possession, and looking physically exhausted week after week. The consensus is brutal—he's either lost his legs since day one or needs dropping entirely until he proves he deserves to start again, with some fans even questioning why manager Arne Slot keeps selecting him when he's clearly struggling.
Fans Demand Alonso As Slot's Job Becomes Untenable
Emerging
Liverpool supporters are openly calling for Arne Slot's immediate sacking, with Xabi Alonso emerging as their preferred replacement despite his recent exit from Real Madrid. The fanbase has lost faith in Slot's tactical approach—particularly his pedestrian build-up play and questionable team selection—and believe the club's current malaise since last season's title win demands an urgent managerial change.
Tottenham Fans Celebrate Sarr's Performance And Viral Moments
Spurs supporters are praising Sarr's outstanding individual display whilst simultaneously going viral over a particular photo featuring Van Dijk's expression, with fans treating the image as meme-worthy content worthy of framing. The discussion sits firmly in neutral territory—it's mostly light-hearted banter about memorable moments rather than debate about tactical issues or controversial decisions.
Dom Carries Struggling Side Against Worst Team
Controversial
Fans are frustrated that their team scraped a draw against the league's worst side, with Dom being the only bright spark through a crucial free-kick goal, whilst the rest of the squad looked directionless and tactically confused under their manager. Liverpool Fans In Meltdown Over Abysmal Performance
Emerging
Liverpool supporters are absolutely furious with their team's display, with fans describing the performance as embarrassing, disgraceful, and unwatchable — some even comparing it to the worst experiences of their lives. The overwhelmingly negative reaction suggests a performance so poor that it's pushed supporters beyond the point of accepting standard criticism, demanding better standards entirely.

Late Drama and Desperate Hope in Crucial Match
Emerging Controversial
Fans are locked in a tense, high-stakes match where a crucial goal has just gone in, sparking wild swings between genuine optimism and dark, cynical humour about their team's ability to bottle it. Controversial
Fans are marvelling at a player's exceptional free kick-scoring ability this season, with several comparing his tally to club legends and debating whether his set-piece prowess is masking inconsistency in open play. Liverpool Fans Divided Over Player Decision
Controversial
Fans are reacting with mixed emotions—ranging from outright criticism to mockery—to what appears to be a Liverpool signing or transfer decision, with some questioning the financial investment whilst others find humour in the club's choice. The overwhelmingly sarcastic and dismissive tone suggests considerable scepticism about whether this move will benefit the team.
Solanke Foul Decision Divides Fan Opinion
Fans are heavily divided over whether Solanke committed a foul on the opposition goalkeeper, with the majority arguing the contact was minimal and the referee's decision inconsistent with how similar incidents have been handled elsewhere in the season. The debate highlights frustration with refereeing standards and the perception of soft decision-making against their side.
Carragher Commentary Divides Fans Over Refereeing Row
Fans are split over Jamie Carragher's commentary during a match involving controversial referee decisions, with many criticising his emotional delivery and perceived Liverpool bias, whilst others defend his calls as correct. Slot's Tactical Chaos Ruins Rio's Breakout Performance

Liverpool Fans Call For Arne Slot's Departure
Emerging
A significant wave of Liverpool supporters are demanding manager Arne Slot's sacking across social media, with over 100 posts repeating the phrase "Slot out" in rapid succession. Liverpool Fans Rage at Slot's Desperate Substitution Strategy
Emerging
Fans are furious that manager Arne Slot brought on both Nyoni and Chiesa in a chaotic late substitution during what appears to be a match against Spurs, arguing the tactical decisions made no sense and actively undermined Liverpool's chances rather than improving them. The anger centres on the lack of structure, poor timing of the changes, and the irony that Chiesa—despite being a recurring panic substitute—didn't have enough time to make a difference anyway.
Kinsky Debate Dominates Tactical Discussion
Fans are sharply divided over whether Kinsky should replace the current goalkeeper Vicario, with some convinced he would have saved a crucial free kick whilst others think the club's management are delusional for even considering bringing him into play. Richarlison's Breakthrough Moment of Self-Control
Emerging

It's become a running joke about his personality and maturity, with supporters relieved he's finally learned to control this impulse.
Liverpool Fans Demand Overhaul After Poor Season
Emerging
A significant portion of Liverpool's fanbase is in open revolt, blaming director of football Richard Hughes, manager Arne Slot, and ownership FSG for a disappointing campaign marked by weak signings and poor performances. Anfield Fans Fear Galatasaray Collapse Before PSG Reckoning
Emerging
Liverpool supporters are expressing deep anxiety ahead of their Galatasaray tie, convinced their team lacks the quality to progress and will be dismantled by PSG if they somehow do. The fanbase is torn between those predicting an embarrassing defeat at home and a few outliers fantasising about an unlikely demolition, but the overwhelming mood is one of resignation and dread about a team they see as predictable, sideways, and fundamentally broken in big moments.
Liverpool Fans Demand Xabi Alonso Managerial Switch
A frustrated fanbase is calling for Arne Slot to be replaced by Xabi Alonso immediately, citing poor performances and regression since last season, though some debate whether a mid-season appointment is realistic or whether FSG will actually back a new manager properly. Fans Rally Behind "The Pigeon" Richarlison
Emerging Controversial
Supporters are affectionately debating Richarlison's performance and iconic pigeon celebration, with fans split between those defending his passion as crucial to their survival fight and critics suggesting he's wasting chances. Emerging
Tottenham fans are absolutely tearing into Dominic Solanke after a genuinely catastrophic performance, with supporters openly calling for his removal from the side and questioning why Richarlison isn't getting more minutes instead. The negativity is brutal and widespread, though there's a glimmer of hope that he might rediscover form in the next fixture.
Frimpong Out Of Position, Arsenal Fans Baffled

Hugo's Decision-Making Costs Liverpool Dearly
Emerging
Fans are split on Hugo Ekitike's performance after coming off the bench, with many criticising his sluggish play and a crucial missed pass to Salah that could have won the game in extra time. Slot's Future and Porro's Defensive Blunders Debated
Liverpool fans are divided on whether manager Arne Slot should be sacked immediately or given until the end of the season, with several calling out defender Porro for costly mistakes in recent matches. The discussion sits firmly on neutral ground, mixing frustration with tactical debate rather than consensus outrage or unwavering support.
Referee Incompetence Has Become Routine
Emerging
Fans are expressing frustration that poor refereeing decisions are no longer shocking — they've become so predictable that disappointment has turned into resigned acceptance. The broader complaint isn't about one mistake, but rather a pattern of officiating errors that has eroded confidence in the standard of match administration across the Premier League.
Fans Turn On Team's Declining Form
Emerging
The fanbase is expressing deep frustration with what they perceive as consistently mediocre performances week after week, with particular criticism levelled at recent substitute appearances that allegedly made matches worse. Fans are sharply divided on Cody's performance, with many praising his best display in months—particularly after positional changes saw him move into a more central role where he thrived. However, the discussion reveals a deeper tactical argument about whether the club's system is actually built to suit his strengths, or whether he needs to adapt his game entirely.

"Every single person watching knew that goal was coming yet we could do nothing to stop it. Heads need to roll for the 85”+ collapses. "
Yes, you're right, should have bet my house on it! +
You could see it a mile and 45 minutes away. Thing is the players are mentally weak and physically not able to play a full 90 minutes. What slot and his coaches are doing is going to be a question for the ages.
>Every single person watching knew that goal was coming 😔 https://preview.redd.it/5f542f3989pg1.jpeg?width=922&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=675aa1ab2bd3e5876a5d16b15dc5ead05260826f
> Heads need to roll for the 85”+ collapses. 85??? You mean anything post 60 min plus because the fitness and conditioning of this team is nowhere near PL levels. I said this months ago: the "conserve energy" approach to last a season is ineffective, and Slot has implemented it the longer he has been in the job. Every second ball that the defense headed fell to Spurs, it was inevitable watching the play unfold. Mark my words the next manager who comes in will remark how unfit these lot are compared to the standard required.
I called it after Gala, said we'd struggle for a result and if we did we'd make it look hard. While I listened to people on fan channels etc saying we'd knock 5 past them. Its like people have refused to actually take in what they're watching this season and I am.sick of it. He should of been gone at xmas. We won the league last year, spent a fortune, and now Yanited are gonna finish above us. Unbelievable
Comoletley undalvagable situation. Slot has aboslutley 0 credibulity left and is just a laughing stock now. Should have sacked him months ago
anyone with functioning braincells could see it expect our dumbass manager. We bring on konate to deal with aerial threat and win that.
Easy to collapse when you have failed to score more than one goal, fucking dreadful shit all season, piss easy home game against a team in free fall & still nothing. There’s no rhyme or reason to it, we’re not particularly good or bad against any kind of team, just totally random, and normally poor performances. Manager needs to go immediately (realistically in the summer)
I want him out now while there's still top 5 and 2 competitions to play for
I’d agree 100%, one of the most talented LFC squads (in terms of first 11 and depth) of my lifetime and that’s all he can get out of them? Not the first or the tenth time this season either. Total disgrace
"Liverpool were absolutely fucking useless, that was a painful watch "
You mean fucking INCREDIBLE watch?
Slightly embarrassing for them against this Spurs team
slightly?
I'm so confused. When we play even at 0-0 we have 1 striker up top as a possible out ball and even then they are probably in our half, if we're defending a lead that striker will drop even deeper to help out the defense. Liverpool here were trying to hold a 1-0 and Salah and Ekitike were just chilling on the half way line whilst their team were getting outnumbered and constantly threatened at goal. It was like watching U11s the way both teams were so light in defense and it was just back and forth seeing who could score. Really bizarre.
It's not our bald fraud though apparently
Imagine watching this exact same performance every single week since we got embarrassed here by Forest and PSV early autumn.
Made Spurs look like a good team, says it all really +
that last counter made me want to buy sandpaper and grind my teeth

"Thank god this weekend of football is over. The quality has been abysmal. Sideways passing across defence at walking pace, midfielders stumbling around like the walking dead, attacking has become lump"
Nine teams playing in Europe has definitely taken its toll.
There was plenty of free flowing football today actually, especially from Liverpool. Unfortunately, all of Liverpool's play ended with the comedically bad final balls and shots

Yeah. Aside from creating one of the most memorable moments for Arsenal since those Rice free kicks, it's been so shit. Even that game as well.
players are so tired, intensity is gone
This weekend sums up a lot of our recent results. Shit but it's a win and we'll take it
"Slot would have been sacked 3 months ago if not for his players getting results out of nothing just by their lineup quality"
That Salah outburst was the worst possible thing that could happen. It made sacking Slot impossible (bad optics, player power). If Mo had just kept his mouth shut Slot could have been sacked already.
He's never getting sacked let's be honest here
They have been using "squad is in distress because of Jota death" excuse for way too long He should have been gone long time ago
You get credit in the bank for winning the league regardless if it was Klopps team. He will be gone now with Alonso available.
Dr. Slob keeping Tibor in the job.
Wirtz and Ekitike should get his wages
I wish Wirtz was half the player some of our fans insist he is
Wirtz who plays with 250 ping and thinks he has 2 more seconds on the ball than he actually does
Both been crap recently
Tell you what would help them, playing the right back actually at right back allowing our best midfielder all season to play in midfield which in turn gives MacAllister or Gravenberch a well needed break, but that makes a lot of fucking sense and so instead we'll just make dumb ass substitutions.
"Weirdly, started writing this before Richy’s goal: This is the game that gets me okay with Tudor for the rest of the season. This sub’s main complaint was that he was being too stubborn with his 3atb"
I’ve been begging for moths for someone to just put us in a simple formation that gets players in their right roles. Going from Ange to Franks constant tinkering then switching to Tudor I’m sure has been a mind fuck
I like this take +
Idk, there are definite pros and cons to both options. My biggest worry is that he’s gonna go right back to a back three when Romero and Mickey are available again. I think some form of 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 easily makes the most sense with the current roster
I had this thought as well, which is why I’m excited for people to get back from injuries but didn’t mention being excited about the suspension. I think Danso and Dragu were both huge today, I liked both of them. I know we’ve seen a lot of heart from VdV and Romero this season as well, but they usually show it as frustration which gets out of control quickly; Danso and Dragu showed it more as engagement with more control (even though Danso in particular looked exhausted the last 20 minutes). +
Great thing is VDV, Romero, Gallagher and Udogie should be back for the next league game and Davies, Kudus and Bergvall the game after if we can carry on with performances like that we’ll get enough points +
You had me until ‘soccer’
Americans can’t be Spurs fans, I forgot that.
Agree. I was also pretty optimistic even before we equalized. The performance I thought was enough for us to build on. +
I agree. Against Arsenal we had the refs against us, and Palace and Atleti we all know what happened. Only Fulham is on him maybe. Things do seem to be improving so let's hope everything clicks for next week. This result will surely improve the moods among the players. Anyway, I think it would be incredibly risky to get a new manager in before such an important game with so little time to prepare for it.
Tudor has had to deal with huge squad issues that changed every game. He hasn’t been able to do anything other than what he’s done. I’m not sure even Pep could have done much better. We can’t exactly judge the man based off what we’ve seen. His man management issues seem to have been blown out of proportion too. He said he went to kinsky at half time and gave him a hug. The players today didn’t look like they had downed tools. That being said. If we stay up this squad needs a gigantic overhaul.

Looking at the two benches, it's absolutely mad. Spurs have two goalkeepers, just two first team outfield players and three youngsters. Tudor making a point by not naming more academy kids. That January transfer window looks more and more of a horrible gamble as each week passes.

First of all, RICHARLISON FOREVER. But said it in the game thread… It’s pretty evident that the Premier League wants a Spurs relegation battle for ratings. There have been so many calls for our opponents to get a result against us, only for the exact same calls to not be called in our favor in following matches. With VAR checks, no less. If Richy dives there, it's a pen, it's 1-1, VVD is off with a red for DOGSO and we would be on our way to 3 points today. Literally what was the difference between that and VDV holding back Sarr against Palace? They want to demonize diving, but these refs won't give anything unless you go down. Make it make sense.
