We only came to life after switching to 4-3-3.
Ampadu MOTM for me.
I thought Nmecha had a better game than DCL and should have stayed on.
James got slated (rightfully) for his crosses but his ability to run at defenders gave us a new dimension.
Stach in more forward decisions looked good. Hope to see him deployed there more.
No Gabi was definitely missed. No left-footed outlet (was Struijk the only left-footed player in the team? 🤔)

Should be interesting, I’m guessing a back 5, with KLP and Kayode given plenty of license to roam forward in attack. Ajer and Dams out of the squad must have injury issues. That limits our strategic options quite a bit. Balls over the top for Thiago and Schade to try and control, with Yarmo and Jensen attacking the scraps. You don't have to bend over backwards to absolve Farke of any blame.
Have the board done a good job to get us into a strong position as well then? Or was that Farke and now we're fannying around at the business end, that's on them.
Honestly, it's like people on here never actually go to the games and watch in person - it was clear as day today we struggled because of the system and it's clear as day we've dropped points in games where we've gone ahead and just sat to defend it rather than going for the kill, which is on Farke.

The only time, in all my years watching this team, when the system mattered more than the quality of the players was under Bielsa, and honestly, it made people think it's easy to put up a system and make it work regardless of the quality you have on the squad, and even he couldn’t sustain it for long. So how exactly are we supposed to improve offensively with what we have? The only real option is hoping Okafor gets fit as soon as possible; he’s the only true difference-maker in attack.
As for sitting back after scoring, we’re a newly promoted side. We can’t go toe-to-toe with these teams for 90 minutes, that’s suicide. And a lot of the late goals we’ve conceded have come from basic, avoidable mistakes by the players.

Mate, come on. I agree with you on a lot of things and you talk a lot of sense but this is a stupid take.
Watching from the stands really doesn't give you a better view of what happened in the game in the slightest.
The game is the same whether you watch it live or on the telly. If anything, the tension in the stadium skews your view of the game.

We are out of the relegation zone and still play 4 of the teams under us in the middle of March. We are currently on 33 points after 31 games.

The squad's attacking options are terrible. Farke told us that in similar words prior to the season starting. Said we needed a couple more attacking options to feel comfortable, he wasn't wrong.

I agree with this. We're trying to play Premier League football with a budget value squad - no shade on any of the players here.
Man for man we matched what Brentford put out there. For all our issues with creativity and attacking threat it also didn't look like we were going to lose the game either. While it's disappointing not to get all three points we went toe to toe with a top half team on good away form and didn't come off worse.
Considering we had the least out of 20 teams to spend start of the season we're making a fist of it.
