Executive Summary
Arsenal fans are divided over defender Ben White's performance in a goalless draw, with some criticising his positioning and loss of pace whilst others defend him as reasonably solid—though the broader frustration centres on the team's predictable, ineffective approach play and missed opportunities to break down a stubborn Bournemouth side. The neutral sentiment reflects a fanbase caught between spotting individual bright spots and the disappointing reality of dropping points against opposition significantly lower in the table.

How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

I just don’t understand. Where is the intensity? Why does it look like half the players aren’t trying? At some point Mosquera needs to come on for White, Eze for Havertz. Our passes aren’t connecting, Bournemouth play right through the press almost every time, and it seems like our back line is so nervous every time they come forward. Remember when teams wouldn’t even get a shot on target? I don’t understand where that has gone

There's nothing wrong with playing long to beat the high press, but it has to be prepared for and trained, players have to overload the target areas of the pitch to win 2nd and 3rd balls and there has to be a player ready to lay it off to runners. The conversation reflects wider discontent about the team's defending and overall display, with fans questioning whether White is still fit for the demands of the role.
Arsenal Fans Demand Norgaard Over Overworked Zubimendi
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are frustrated that Mikel Arteta is repeatedly burning out summer signing Zubimendi through heavy minutes whilst leaving the experienced Norgaard virtually unused as a rotation option. Arsenal Fans Despair as Attacking Threat Collapses
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are venting their frustration over a goalless draw against Bournemouth, with particular anger directed at the team's anaemic attacking play, slow decision-making in possession, and a striker they feel is unfit for title-winning football. Fans argue that safe, uninspiring tactics and misfit squad construction have left the club incapable of competing when pressure mounts, contrasting sharply with Manchester City's aggressive mentality and raising questions about whether Arteta—despite his hefty wages—has genuinely improved any player or earned the trust to develop the club's young talent.
Arsenal Fans Demand Change as Martinelli Struggles Again
Emerging

Fans questioned whether he should even be starting matches, with some suggesting alternatives like Havertz could do a better job in the position.
Arsenal Fans Divided Over Penalty Decision Controversy
Emerging Controversial
Arsenal supporters are hotly debating whether a penalty awarded during the match was legitimate, with opinion split between those who think it was a clear foul and those convinced it wasn't a spot-kick at all. The controversy is compounded by frustration that VAR didn't intervene to review the decision, leaving fans questioning the consistency of refereeing standards.
Arsenal's Midfield Crisis Exposed in Scoreless Stalemate
Emerging
Arsenal fans are blaming injuries to key playmakers Odegaard and Eze for a toothless midfield display that left them unable to control the game against Bournemouth, with supporters increasingly concerned that even their fit squad lacks the creative spark they once possessed. The consensus is grim: without Odegaard pulling strings in possession, Arsenal's creative output collapses, and the midfield three becomes a liability that cannot compete at the required level.
Arsenal Fans Criticise Jesus After Goalless Stalemate
A heavily negative discussion among Arsenal supporters focused not on Jesus but on midfield and attacking inaccuracy across the board, with Zubimendi and Havertz singled out for particularly poor performances and fans demanding tactical changes like bringing on Eze to salvage the draw against Bournemouth.

The negativity reflects deep-seated scepticism that the Gunners can sustain a title challenge, rooted in years of October optimism turning into May disappointment.
Arsenal Fans Mock Bland Performance With Food Banter
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are taking the mickey out of their team's toothless 0-0 draw with Bournemouth by riffing on a pre-match quote about "bringing your lunch" — essentially saying the performance was so dull and uninspired that fans might as well have brought a full meal to keep themselves entertained. It's the kind of cutting humour that emerges when a top-of-the-table side fails to impose themselves against lower opposition.
Arsenal Fans Question Midfield System Amid Title Push
Arsenal supporters are heavily criticising the Rice and Zubimendi midfield pairing, arguing the setup stifles attacking creativity and leaves the team looking "scared" despite being five wins away from the title. Fans are demanding tactical experimentation, with several calling for either dropping Rice to pure defensive midfield or rotating in more attacking-minded alternatives to unlock the team's potential in the run-in.
Arsenal Fans Frustrated Over Havertz Midfield Experiment
Arsenal supporters are deeply divided over Mikel Arteta's continued use of Kai Havertz in midfield, with many arguing the system fundamentally doesn't work whilst others defend the tactical necessity given injury absences. Arsenal's Blank Day Leaves Fans Despondent and Frustrated
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are venting their disappointment after a goalless stalemate against Bournemouth that felt like a missed opportunity, with the mood decidedly bleak as hopes of capitalising on their league position evaporated in a frustrating, uninspiring display. "Arsenal is collapsing near the end of the season. They have been figured out by the opponent. From quadruple to probably nothing. Lost 2 titles in two weeks and now looking to lose premier league title. Slim chance in Champions league when they meet stronger team. If they win nothing by the end of the season, this will go down as the worst team performance that supposed to win trophies in football."
"Bro i think arsenal win the hood cup"
"Sack this ego of an poor manager pls!!! 6 years nothing win still talking without shame!!!"
"End the season, leave our club. I will not stand to see another season with you at the helm Arteta. Disgusting football that I can't stand watching. If you have any shame you'd resign at the end of the season, even if you scrape it over the line and win the league. But you won't, your arrogance and inability to criticise these poor performances makes me sick."

"I'm not even mad, almost feels predictable at this point "
Aston Villa at home all over again.
I feel the same way. It’s becoming more and more clear that this team, as constructed, just isn’t that good. The “leaders” of this club (Ø and Saka) are nowhere to be seen, and the manager seems like he’s completely out of ideas.
I just want us to be the best in the league and in Europe. Is that too much to ask for? Should I be happy with second +
Yeah, it's just like... well, there it is
I am, a win was probably enough. Gutless managing from Arteta.
There’s nothing any of us can do about it. Hopefully the players can put this behind them, injured players can come back and maybe light a spark in attack.
Ptsd.
This is why as a long time Arsenal fan I never get my hopes up til June.
Hard to be angry when we deserved to lose.
What a comment, couldn’t agree more. We don’t have the mentality it takes to win a tittle. I find it funny people think this result will motivate city, as if they weren’t going to win out the rest of the season because that’s how they’re hard wired to play when games become meaningful. The worst part is convincing yourself every year that it might be different. Lol
"A point at home to Liverpool was good, a point away to Forest was good, losing the cup final was okay because it's a "micky mouse" trophy, going out of the FA Cup to Southampton was okay as we could f"
Spot on +
Every game we drop points and the parasites on this sub reddit come out and say "Stop being reactionary!!". The signs have been there for years.
Being fine with losing trophies is why the club is the way it is. That's a losing mentality the club the fans the team should want to win every trophy even the so called "mickey mouse" trophies
Unfortunately, I think the players were saying those very lines too, and not ringing any alarm bells because they had a good excuse in the tuck. Last one now is the fact we have about 4 starters injured.
Every fucking time man, it's insane how people don't see the signs. I saw the signs as early as fucking December I shit you not. Remember the 4-0 game against Leeds? I also knew back then, because a result doesn't tell you the whole story. This team and manager have had bottlers written all over them for a long time. How the fuck is this the same team that REFUSED to concede shots on target for weeks? Fucking hell.
Don’t forget the 2-2 against Wolves.
You’re actually fighting the voices in your head, no one thought those were good results.
I don't expect us to be perfect: certainly away draws at Sunderland, Chelsea, even Brentford, and the loss to liverpool are understandable. But draws to forest (where we generated no attach) and wolves are unforgivable. It's worse when you consider the wins (like Everton) have been unconvincing.
since the aston villa game mate ever since then we have been shaky, idk i think that alternate dimension where we hold on for a draw we would be 15 points ahead by now
We were the same that game, if you go and rewatch the first half, it's the same shit.
"For the love of god just play rice at the 6 and play two attack minded midfielders in front of him. "
Just feed the striker. stop sideway passing for god sake.
100% this. Zubi Rice combo is not working. Zubi does not help in the build up. Doesn’t even try to get on the ball or offer an outlet. And anytime he actually does its being recycled back to Gabi or Saliba
Thought this was what we were building towards when we got someone like Rice.
Agree. Rice isn't a deft passer. I He can carry the ball from deep if needed and his defensive prowess is unquestioned. Also can arrive late for a shot from outside from the 6 position.
Drop Zubi, play Norgaard.
we have a eunuch as a manager. will never happen.
Doesn’t work cos his short passing game isn’t quite s-tier. Issue today was we got pressed really well and lacked Odegaard as an out ball, his ability to scan and turn under pressure is a huge part of making the system work, then playing long just didn’t work cos no forward really had an edge on their defender so we just kept losing the ball.
Rice is not a 6 bc he’s not as good under pressure as Zubi who also isn’t great under pressure. I assume Arteta plays this way bc he knows this
For the love of God, play Norgaard. You can see Zubimendi has lost a step or two over the past month or so and is in real need of a break. When you pair him with Rice, who is also currently in need of a reduction in minutes for a game or two, then it's no surprise our midfield, isn't playing as well as they were earlier in the season.
Zubimendi played 26 minutes from 3/23 to 4/6. Plus half a day on both sides of those. He got a very good rest. He was just poor today.
"Arsenal bottling the league and Spurs getting relegated would be a Heritage football moment. "
Knowing Spurs they will even bottle the relegation
I have not wanted anything more ever +
North London is ~~red~~ ~~white~~ shit
Liverpool spending 400m after winning the league and then missing CL would really add to the hate watch, if we are taking requests.
Your city rivals win the league though
Tbh, I’m numb to those cheats winning. I don’t see them as legit champs. Who really cares at this point.
Who gets the open bus parade there? Chelsea?
I am so shameless that I would still take the piss out of Arsenal fans if this happened
Suddenly the season looks to be a great season for us after all. +
I'd take Fa Cup and no CL football if it means Arsenal bottle and Tottenham get relegated
"They weren’t even parking a bus. They played open relative to other opponents we’ve faced. It’s pathetic really."
Yep all those low block tacticos where are they now?
Nobody parks the bus against us anymore lol… you park bus against a threatening attack not to arteta’s arsenal lol
No team has truly parked bus against us even wolves didn’t they know every manager knows they are better than mikel tapas and every opposition players know we have no technical ability so why should they park the bus if they play they would dominate and create more , plus they don’t need to worry about our attacking threat or midfield doing counter attack because they are cabbages. Even Southampton popped us off the pitch
We are shite
The ironic thing is that over the past season, we've proved we can beat low blocks. But we seem to have forgotten how to play against high intensity, high press opponents. City set the model 2nd half of the Carabao. Southampton did it. Now Bournemouth.
They know that this team has a coach which glorifies backpasses! They won't we won't attack even if there are spaces! We'll backpass and feel like we're bossing the game!
My favourite is minutes 45 to 76 where it went like this: 1. Raya has the ball 2. Raya stands on the ball but Bournemouth players don’t move 3. Raya plays it long to no one 4. Bournemouth player wins first header 5. Bournemouth player somehow wins seconds 6. Bournemouth attack begins 7. Goal kick or we win the ball back and pass back to Raya 8. Repeat I guarantee you if that is earlier in the season we are winning that second ball almost every time. The intensity is completely fucking gone.
Not sure what you even do at this point if you're Arteta. Give them the day off? Doesn't seem to matter what we're doing in training at the moment
I woke up late, watched exactly that segment of the match and turned it off.

They’ve figured us out and we’re still not changing anything! 🤦 Does it end at three losses? Let's wait and see... https://t.co/86vShJyKXP

I feel like we always shit on the big team when they lose, I know I do lol. But Bournemouth played incredibly and Alex Scott is a Gem. The new generation of young England midfielders is looking super promising. It's so sad seeing how bad Lewis Skelly has been this year though, …

I'll just copy paste my comment from the mt: All that talk from Arteta before the game about getting early and making noise, only to start the most sleep inducing midfield we have and a front three that hasn’t worked all season, is pretty funny.

Destroyed by Manchester City in the League Cup final, humbled by Southampton in the FA Cup despite them playing their B team, Raya masterclass against Sporting CP resulting in a smash and grab for Arsenal to win the match in the last kick of the match and now being completely out…

A lot of people are talking shit about our attackers, which is more than fair, but it's the midfield that is killing us, We can't get out of High presses, we just can't and we just boot it out long and would you look at that we then subbed out the only tall guy in our attack that…

3 shots on target (one of which being a penalty) at home is horrendous and it's not like Bournemouth have the world's tightest defence (conceded the 4th highest number of goals in the league right now). If Arsenal do bottle it this season, it'll be entirely down to their comple…

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I questioned whether we had the minerals after the Forest draw but I kept my faith. After Wolves it was obvious this is where we going. Everything has gone our way this season. This manager hasn’t got what it takes.

Bournemouths pressing killed us today. We needed more outlets and players comfortable on the turn . If MlS had more minutes I think he could been that player for us today but he has barely played and probably wasn’t as confident though he played decently

Bournemouth attac…

It's understandable and an effective tactic against certain teams but you'd think they'd still be more aggressive at home against a midtable team

b2b win for Bournmouth at Emirates and they end run of 12 winless run against us. Chance to go 12 clear\*\* and put massive pressure on City, that's absymal performance will suffice? If we win from here, massive credit goes to City for handing it to us
