How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

Captivating Talking Points
Bit misleading as you have to deduct goals where a new signing assisted another new signing i.e Mbeumo's assist for Sesko v Everton and Sesko assist for Mbeumo v Brighton I'm sure there are others where they've linked up but it is huge to have them all firing so well.

Think BBC has got it wrong. Last PL wins at Stamford Bridge before today were in 2020, 2012 (with goals from RVP and Chicharito - Mata scored against us), and 2002 (with goals from Scholes, RvN, and Solksjaer). Massive win for Carrick then in this context.

Manchester United Fans Split on Carrick's Managerial Future
Emerging
After Manchester United's goalless draw with Chelsea, supporters are divided on whether Michael Carrick deserves the permanent manager's job, with some praising his tactical acumen and winning mentality whilst others worry his lack of experience managing fixture congestion could prove problematic at the highest level.
Chelsea and United Fans React to Goalless Stalemate
Emerging
Supporters from both sides are processing a frustrating 0-0 draw that leaves them stuck in the congestion of mid-table, with fans fixating on Champions League qualification hopes and how dropped points against weaker opposition have cost them a genuine title challenge. The tone is resigned rather than optimistic — there's acknowledgement that European football is now the realistic target, not a title push.
Chelsea's Goalless Stalemate Sparks Fury Among Fans
Emerging
Chelsea supporters are venting their frustration after a dreadfully underwhelming 0-0 draw, with fans despairing at what they perceive as a gutless, shapeless performance that epitomises the club's alarming decline. The overwhelmingly negative reaction reveals deep dissatisfaction with both the team's quality and their apparent lack of fight, with some grudgingly acknowledging marginal effort but most simply expressing despair at how far the standards have slipped.
Chelsea and United Fans React to Goalless Draw
With 364 posts across neutral and partisan supporters, fans discussing the Chelsea versus Manchester United stalemate are largely focused on tactical observations and missed opportunities rather than the final scoreline itself. The conversation centres on defensive positioning, midfield control, and whether either side had genuinely convincing chances to break the deadlock.
Chelsea Fans Demand Ownership Change After Stalemate
Emerging
Chelsea supporters are venting frustration at the club's ownership and board, arguing that the owners lack ambition and passion for the club's success, with many calling for them to sell up entirely. The negativity runs deep—fans believe systematic failure at boardroom level, not managerial decisions, is driving the club's underperformance, and some are questioning whether the fanbase itself enables mediocrity by continuing to support the team unconditionally.

"Sesko was very key to Cunha's goal today. He moved to the first post attracting the attention of the 3 Chelsea defenders. That allowed Cunha to come in from the back unnoticed and score."
"Even with a makeshift back 4 I knew as long as Kobbie played we’d acc be alright what a player he is so massively missed against Leeds still massive shoutout to Heaven and Maz at CB another assist for the Portuguese magnifico closing in on that 20 single season prem record which he’ll defo break onwards n upwards GGMU🔴🔴🔴🔴🇾🇪🇾🇪🇾🇪🇾🇪"
"Heaven - he has so much potential. Work hard, take your chances, and that’s a PL defender for 15 more years. Superb today!!"

"Masterstroke from Carrick to use 2 lanky and fast centrebacks to counter Chelsea's skillful and fast forwards."
"What a win"
"What a Heaven! Assnall loss"
"Him and Yoro will be competing for it now I would imagine, if Carrick doesn't start heaven next game I'll lose a lot of faith in his ability to manage this squad, Yoro has been poor for a little bit so off the back of this performance heaven needs to start for a while. In the long run they'll compete with each other which is great for their development, and also to give them a break when these inevitable occasional form dips occur."

"Somehow the gaffer's fault."
why didnt he sub on messi?
created 0 big chances in the entire game they created 1 and scored from it complete delusion to think the gaffer isn't part of the problem. Literally our first game of the season with zero big chances created against that back four too
Dominated the game yet somehow, yet again, we fail to score. I don’t blame the set up or the manager at all. Just wasted chances and shit luck. Ah well, onto Wembley
Yes and no, I mean his subs where terrible. Why sub defenders for defenders. Why not bring Guiu, Santos or Lavia (sooner).
You just know it’s coming.
Brother his tactics aren't working in terms of results. Forget everything else. He's just not good enough like a lot of squad. He's not the only problem, half assed players like Garnacho Delap Neto can't attack, palmer is a shade of himself.
when you’re down by a goal and he puts in two defenders, it’s on him.
Imagine sticking up for this at best league 1 manager.
I dont know how people like you see 20+ touches in the box and say its just the manager The worse thing is that this same thing happened with Poch and Maresca and we still blaming the manager These directors and owners wil keep getting away with crimes
Hi so it is
"Anyone who cant see what Mainoo does for this team knows nothing about football. He is going to go up a level next season with more mobile midfield partners."
We need an Anderson type in the mid so badly bc he does what mainoo does and them some. Mainoo is doing bare minimum. Sorry.
Always in the right place, night and day difference from Ugarte +
100% agree, it is even more noticeable when he is not on the pitch and Ugarte is, our middle field get instantly worst
You can basically just pass him the ball in any situation and he will make space and progress it even if there’s 3 men around him, it’s a skill that’s very hard to find, Casemiro plays better when he’s next to him. +
Mainoo doesn't progress the ball
That’s because you cant see beyond the immediate action of a player.
He's one of our better players today, but cmon it's not like he's been amazing. +
Comes down to the back 4 we have and the approach we took to this game. If you have your regular 4 back there we’d have more possession, which is where he shines.
I mean I agree in general. But i'm not sure what that has to do with the guy's comment that I responded to.
I just mean his impact is lessened because of our approach. He shines most in possession, he receives the ball from defenders and can hold off the press. We are not really focused on building out from the back today and going long. He’s not looking amazing because we’re bypassing the midfield and his best talents.
"Amorim fans still coming out of the woodwork like they wouldn’t be here defending a 3-0 loss at Stamford Bridge with the same squad options we had tonight "
I'm happy with the 3 points, you're baiting me to be negative here, but look at these shots on goal. I'll die on the Amorim hill cause WE were the 20 shots side that loses under him and I'll take performance over short-term results. I didn't enjoy watching us play tonight, it was a waste of my evening. https://preview.redd.it/o6lgqb3fq0wg1.png?width=612&format=png&auto=webp&s=7ec7e1e403deff078d12683b24f1d22fa44d85ea
We were never outshooting teams 20-4 under Amorim man, come on.
Against Villa last May, 26-6 in shots. Against Arsenal, 22-9.
Amorim was a waste of 18 months. Worst win rate in United history, awful football and embarrassingly out of his depth.
0 responses to anything I said
I prefer points to shots mate. Games won rather than xG.
That's fair enough, I prefer entertainment to winning. Agree to disagree. I would never wanna watch Mourinho-ball again even if it won us a quadrouple.
Me neither. Agree on that. I hated Mourinho play style too. But this squad is thin as fuck and with what was available tonight - a CB pairing where one was 19 and both cost a combined £16m - I will take a clean sheet and three points. It hasn’t been particularly pretty but it really wasn’t before Carrick and this is the same squad that desperately needs some dynamism. At the moment I’m judging Carrick on exactly what his remit was. Win enough games to get UCL qualification. It’s still possible that he does that comfortably while beating Arsenal, City, Chelsea and (hopefully) Liverpool in his half season in charge. If he gets the job, by no means certain yet, and is backed with players it’s far more reasonable to judge him on results and aesthetics.
Get a grip
They’re here. Still defending him with useless stats while ignoring his win rate.

Manchester United CB’s were Mazraoui and Ayden. One is a RB playing as CB while the other one is a kid. They’re not first choice. We couldn’t score against that pairing at home with Palmer, Enzo, Neto, Delap, Nacho and brief cameo of Estevao. I repeat, at HOME!

Not that surprising. The bar was one of our better defenders today, saved two goals.

He’s a good player. He just needs to improve his speed, technique, defending, attacking, and everything else

Been a shame how it's worked out for him with injuries and not fitting in the team and what not but he always has a solid performance whenever he gets his chance.
