Executive Summary
West Ham fans are largely satisfied with a goalless draw away at Crystal Palace, viewing a clean sheet as a valuable point in their relegation scrap — but deep frustration emerges over the squad's lack of bench strength compared to rivals, with supporters blaming the board for failing to back the manager in January. How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

Pablo is the reason we’ve been scoring more he occupies the cbs so well it opens up space for tatty, Bowen and Summerville. I don’t think he’ll score a lot of goals he’s a pressure forward often they miss out on assists due to pressing and forcing turnovers being pivotal to the goal but not actually touching the ball

Believer Probably because Nuno could see we were slowly losing control in midfield. Summerville was pushing quite narrow to combat Lerma so that Bowen and Soucek could try and get to grips with Kamada. It meant leaving KWP 1v1 …
The thing is, Kilman was good for us last season. Very comfortable on the ball. I don't know if something has happened to him personally, but it all went wrong this year. We were set up horribly at the start of the season, and its' like his confidence never recovered from those opening games. I don't really agree with that, because at the time Dinos was making a lot of errors too.

Kilman was bad this year, but I actually think if there was one single thing to blame for our awful start it was Potter forcing JWP as our CDM. Although now that I'm looking it up he was dropped by our 8th game...but still, that alone was why Potter needed to go.

Going to be a tough game for sure, but we got a point against fucking City not long ago. If we can lock Haland down, we do it to Mateta too. Mavro to come flying in with a massive header COYI ⚒️🫧

Kante did so much more than Wilson despite playing 10 minutes less. Wilson doesn't need to play another minute for us. Hopefully Bowen plays next week. Point is good enough, need 4 points from the next two.

Maybe an unpopular opinion given Dinos' current form, but I think Todibo is the better player.
-0.763 reddit ▲ 7
3 biggest chances by far came our way. Summerville has to do better with his opportunity. Taty does well to get the shot on target and just good positioning by Lacroix saves them. Then I have no idea how Henderson has kept Dinos out. Unfortunate to convert none of the 3 but positive signs are there! Need to keep going! COYI!!!!

Was watching Bowen’s body language. He needs a goal. Looks frustrated and isn't acting like a leader for me. Still my boy but I wish we could rest him. Fan Narratives
West Ham Dig In Against Palace, Demand Transfer Depth
Emerging Controversial
West Ham fans are largely satisfied with a goalless draw away at Crystal Palace, viewing a clean sheet as a valuable point in their relegation scrap — but deep frustration emerges over the squad's lack of bench strength compared to rivals, with supporters blaming the board for failing to back the manager in January. The consensus is that their performance was solid, yet their inability to match Palace's fresh legs in the second half has crystallised concerns about whether recruitment failures will cost them their Premier League status.
Crystal Palace and West Ham Fans Unite Over Referee Frustration
Controversial
In a goalless stalemate packed with VAR drama and late-game yellow cards, supporters from both sides found rare common ground criticising the officiating decisions that shaped the match. The overwhelming agreement across the thread suggests a widespread feeling that the refereeing was objectively problematic—with fans sarcastically calling it "the least controversial opinion" because everyone, regardless of allegiance, saw the same issues.
West Ham Fans Divided Over Pablo's Performance and Wilson Replacement
Emerging Controversial
West Ham supporters were polarised about Pablo Ismaïla Sarr's display upfront during the 0-0 draw, with some crediting him for wearing down Crystal Palace's defence but others questioning whether substitute Callum Wilson or Adama Traoré would have been more effective in the final stages. The debate exposed broader frustration with the club's attacking options, with fans actively divided on whether the striker pairing represents genuine weakness at the club.
Palace and West Ham Fans Dissect Goalless Stalemate
Emerging Controversial
Crystal Palace and West Ham supporters are expressing frustration over a 0-0 draw between two struggling sides, with fans from both camps criticising their team's attacking prowess and overall performance. The neutral tone reflects widespread disappointment that neither outfit could break the deadlock, with some questioning individual player decisions and effort levels throughout the match.
Fans Divided Over Controversial VAR Disallowed Goal
Emerging
Crystal Palace and West Ham supporters are locked in debate over a goal disallowed by VAR during their goalless draw, with fans unable to agree whether the decision involved a handball or offside call. The inconsistency has sparked frustration, with supporters questioning why this incident was treated differently to similar handball decisions involving other Premier League clubs this season.
West Ham Fans Lose Faith in Bowen's Creativity
Emerging Controversial
West Ham supporters are tearing into Jarrod Bowen's performance against Crystal Palace, with fans repeatedly criticising how easily he's been shut down and nullified by Palace's defence, particularly teenager Mustapha Canou. The consensus is brutal—when Bowen gets marked tightly, West Ham's attacking threat collapses entirely, raising serious questions about their right-winger's ability to break down a well-organised opposition.
Crystal Palace Fans Divided on Midfielder's Inconsistent Impact
Controversial
Supporters are split over whether a young Palace midfielder is a game-changer or a frustrating mixed bag, with some praising his work rate and defensive nuisance value whilst others criticise his inconsistent passing and poor end product in the 0-0 draw against West Ham. The debate hinges on whether his struggles are down to poor form, tactical matchups against taller teams, or simply the adjustment period for a developing player in the Premier League.
West Ham Fans Divided on Summerville's Display Against Palace
Emerging Controversial
West Ham supporters are split on Jarod Summerville's performance in a goalless draw, with some praising his creative threat and ability to win free kicks, whilst others criticise his execution and consistency in the final third. The discussion also centres on Will Hughes' physical, aggressive approach in midfield and whether he crossed the line in challenging the Hammers' winger.
Palace and West Ham Fans Debate Atmosphere and Chants
Crystal Palace and West Ham supporters spent most of the discussion critiquing the atmosphere at the match, with particular focus on the quality and audibility of chanting from both sets of fans. The conversation devolved into casual banter about supporter culture, fan authenticity, and some of the more colourful chants being sung, rather than meaningful analysis of the goalless draw itself.
West Ham Fans Divided Over Brennan Johnson's £35m Investment
Controversial
West Ham supporters remain deeply sceptical about the club's significant spending on Brennan Johnson, with posts oscillating between dismissing him as overpriced deadwood and questioning whether the striker is deliberately underperforming to favour his former club Tottenham. The 101-post discussion reflects genuine frustration that a marquee summer signing has failed to justify his substantial fee in a goalless draw against Crystal Palace.
Referee Decisions Spark Debate in Palace-West Ham Draw
Emerging Controversial
Crystal Palace and West Ham fans discussing referee Alan Johnson's performance during their goalless stalemate, with particular frustration over VAR involvement and several contentious calls that divided opinion across neutral observers. The discussion also touched on broader commentary quality and individual player performances, but remained largely centred on officiating inconsistencies throughout the match.
West Ham Fans Debate Nuno's Half-Time Substitution Choices
Emerging
West Ham supporters are split over manager Nuno Espírito Santo's decision to bring Kanté on at half-time, with some praising the midfielder's quality and impact whilst others question why attacking option Traoré wasn't used given their forwards were running out of steam. The neutral stance reflects genuine uncertainty about whether the tactical shift signals a defensive approach or a sensible rotation ahead of tougher fixtures to come.
Crystal Palace and West Ham Fans Endure Nervy Stalemate
Emerging
Supporters from both sides expressed anxiety and stress throughout a tense 0-0 draw, with late-game drama — including VAR involvement and three yellow cards in stoppage time — leaving fans emotionally drained. The goalless result left the fanbase frustrated and on edge, particularly as several crucial fixtures play out elsewhere in the gameweek.
Crystal Palace Fans React to Taty's Wasteful Display
Controversial
Crystal Palace supporters are simultaneously frustrated and entertained by Tatsuaki Okuno's relentless shooting attempts and acrobatic endeavour during the goalless draw, with fans acknowledging his work rate and ambition whilst lamenting his inability to actually finish chances. The overriding sentiment is one of "nearly there" — recognising potential whilst questioning whether the striker has the clinical edge needed to be the saviour the club desperately requires.
Palace Fans Debate South London Logistics and Atmosphere
Emerging Controversial
Rather than dissecting the goalless draw itself, Crystal Palace and West Ham supporters have pivoted into a tangential conversation about London geography, local amenities, and stadium infrastructure — with particular focus on Selhurst Park's location in Croydon and the availability of pubs and food outlets nearby. It's a peculiar deflection that suggests fans found the match itself underwhelming enough to shift focus entirely to the matchday experience and regional banter.
Crystal Palace and West Ham Fans Endure Goalless Stalemate
Emerging Controversial
Supporters of both sides have reacted with heavy sarcasm and frustration to a 0-0 draw so devoid of action that Sky Sports' highlight reel allegedly skipped nearly 35 minutes of the match. The overwhelming sentiment is one of wasted time, with fans joking that the game was so dull they fell asleep, lost track of time, or could have spent their afternoon watching literally anything else.
Fans Divided Over Diouf's Late Controversial Yellow Card
Controversial
West Ham supporters are split on whether El Hadji Malick Diouf deserved his 90th-minute booking in the goalless draw with Crystal Palace, with some arguing the referee was inconsistent given Palace's uncarded challenges earlier in the match. Beyond the contentious decision, the discussion reveals deeper frustration with Diouf's overall form this season, with fans questioning whether his occasional decent crosses justify his defensive weaknesses compared to alternatives like Scarles.
Mateta Impact Looms as Palace and West Ham Draw Blank
Emerging
Both sets of supporters are fixated on Jean-Phillipe Mateta's potential threat as a substitute weapon, with Crystal Palace fans anxious about his history of causing them problems and West Ham fans viewing his introduction as a turning point that could have changed a goalless stalemate. The discussion reveals how a single player's reputation—rested on the bench initially—became the focal point of a match that neither side could break down, overshadowing the actual result entirely.
Crystal Palace and West Ham Frustrated by Goalless Stalemate
Emerging
Fans from both sides are expressing disappointment at a 0-0 draw between two bottom-half teams, with particular frustration directed at missed chances and poor decision-making throughout the match. The negativity extends to criticism of VAR officials and refereeing standards, reflecting broader dissatisfaction with how the match was officiated and decided.
Spurs Fight for Survival as Palace and West Ham Draw
Crystal Palace and West Ham supporters are locked in a tense battle over a goalless draw, with many fretting that the result keeps relegation rivals Spurs in the hunt for survival. Fans are divided between those taking the point pragmatically and those worried they've handed hope to their Yorkshire rivals just when they needed to pull clear.
Crystal Palace and West Ham Fans Fume Over Goalless Stalemate
Supporters from both sides are venting their frustration at a tedious 0-0 draw that left paying fans feeling robbed, with particular irritation directed at an irritating drum in the stadium that marred an already dull 90 minutes of football. The negativity cuts deep—fans are questioning why they paid premium prices to watch what felt less like a competitive match and more like a pre-season friendly.
West Ham Fans Praise Mavropanos After Goalless Draw
Controversial
West Ham supporters are focusing heavily on the defensive performance in the 0-0 stalemate, with considerable praise for centre-back Stavros Mavropanos, who's evidently shaken off an earlier reputation for errors and is now recognised as a key player in Nuno Espírito Santo's improving side. The discussion also touches on a broader defensive comparison between Mavropanos and Chelsea's Jean-Clair Todibo, with fans crediting the team's clean sheet mentality over individual brilliance.
Fans Savage Drab Palace-West Ham Stalemate
Emerging Controversial
Supporters from both sides and neutrals collectively tore into the 0-0 draw as one of the worst matches they've witnessed this season, with widespread criticism of the lack of attacking intent, poor entertainment value, and uninspired football throughout. The general consensus painted a picture of modern Premier League football at its most tedious, with fans questioning player urgency and tactical systems that prioritise safety over quality.
West Ham Fans Despair at Dropped Points in Survival Battle
Emerging Controversial
West Ham supporters are frustrated by the goalless draw at Crystal Palace, recognising that in a relegation scrap, failing to take chances and dropping points is a luxury they simply cannot afford. The consensus is bleak — a draw does little to help their cause, and they're now facing a must-win fixture against Everton just to avoid slipping into the bottom three.
Crystal Palace Frustrate West Ham in Goalless Stalemate
Fans were underwhelmed by a drab 0-0 draw between two struggling sides, with particular frustration directed at Crystal Palace for failing to take their chances and missing an opportunity to help West Ham's relegation fight. The general sentiment was one of disappointment at a forgettable match that neither team seemed willing to win, leaving supporters questioning why the fixture felt so inconsequential.
Crystal Palace and West Ham Fans Endure Forgettable Stalemate
Emerging
A goalless draw between two struggling sides left supporters from both camps frustrated and deflated, with the discussion dominated by impatient comments about the match's lack of entertainment value rather than any genuine tactical debate. The overwhelmingly neutral sentiment reflects the apathy fans felt towards a forgettable 0-0 that did little to improve either team's dire league position.
Fernandes Shines in Stalemate as Palace and Hammers Draw Blank
Fans from both sides are fixated on Fernandes' dominant display in a goalless stalemate, with Crystal Palace and West Ham supporters alternating between praising his all-action performance and fretting about whether he'll depart in the summer given his obvious quality. There's also scattered discussion about transfer business, with some fans calling for defensive reinforcements and others tipping young academy prospects to develop into real assets.
West Ham Fans Frustrated by Attacking Impotence in Stalemate
West Ham supporters are venting their frustration at a barren 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace, with particular criticism aimed at their striker's inability to convert chances and questioning why the club signed him if not for crucial moments. Fans are drawing unfavourable comparisons to previous strikers like Haller and Payet, suggesting West Ham's attacking threat has diminished significantly since their recent investment in the forward line.
Wolves' Fate Sealed as Spurs Showdown Looms
Emerging
Crystal Palace and West Ham fans are fixated on Tottenham's upcoming clash with Wolverhampton, with the consensus being that a Spurs victory would confirm Wolves' Championship relegation. The discussion reveals deep pessimism about Wolves' survival chances, though some observers back the underdogs to trouble Spurs on the day.

"West Ham is going down. They had a great chance tonight. Damn"
I'm honestly so surprised by comments like these when West Ham have been in by far the best form of all the relegation contenders this year. They're playing so good that they're top half based on 2026 results A draw away at Palace is what confirms their relegation when they are 2 points clear of a team that has not won a single game all year and are 20th in the form table for the year? I honestly don't know what to say. Feels like people here just refuse to believe Spurs will get relegated, so everyone keeps jumping from Leeds to Forest to West Ham depending on whichever team didn't win that particular weekend to say they're going down while Spurs never win and are apparently safe
A lot of people on Reddit are drama queens.  It can be bizarre at times.  Like you'll be in a match thread and one team will score to go up 1-0 with like 30 minutes still to play, yet some idiot will be like "Welp it's over" Like what? Reminds me of the kids on league of legends who'd be like "surrender at 20" after their first death lol
We had supporters in r/liverpoolfc panicking because we drew in our first game back after covid. They were saying we're going to lose out on the the tilte and City will catch up. We were crowned champions before we played out next game..
It's always in the pessimistic direction too. I never see a team go up a goal and the comments acting like winning is a sure thing. Idk if it's some way of trying to prevent disappointment by assuming the worst right away
Nahhh. We are dire. West ham will beat arsenal and fuck us both over
It feels rn Spurs going down is the only thing keeping the wolf at the Arsenal door. Ditto bottling the title being the only thing lifting Spurs spirits.
They won’t beat us. Worry about your own results.
Arsenal fans might be in a spot where a win against West Ham helps Arsenal win the title but a loss means Tottenham get relegated which will be a fun one
That's no spot. We want our team to win. We aren't Tottenham.
Big talk for a team that has worse form than us over the last six matches in all competitions. You can count them if you like, and then flair up as a bonus?
"Yeh I dunno, is that really a good point for West Ham? Spurs surely beat Wolves and West Ham could easily draw to Everton and they go back in 18th due to GD."
Nah Spurs has the better schedule. Three points for West Ham were a must here. Even with the three points it would have been a tight race. Although very dependent on whether De Zerbi is able to continue the turn around. 2-2 vs Brighton was a good result, especially because they almost won it. Play like that against Wolves, Chelsea and Leeds and Spurs win 9 points. While West Ham not winning here is a very bad sign. They only meet one opponent lower on the table then Palace, Leeds. I dont see them win any other match then that actually. +
Wolves really aren't that bad of a team just had an utterly horrendous start to the season. They've gotten big scalps this season and Spurs haven't won at Moleneux in like 5 years
I reckon Spurs stroll into the Molineux like they did against Forest, walk up against a brick wall, and fall flat. They have 4 points in 12 games, their captain is out for the season, and Wolves will be absolutely dying to bring Spurs down with them lol
We are so bad that any point is crucial right now. If west ham draw the remaining games we go down almost assuredly.
I mean it’s better than no points. At this level a point can mean life or death in a relegation battle. They should have won this game and might regret being so ineffective today, but they have more games coming up. Tough ones for sure, but not as bad as everybody is making them out to be. Everton at home this weekend is essentially a must win for them now that they dropped points to palace. Brentford away is tough, Arsenal at home is essentially a loss, but Newcastle away could prove to be a real catalyst. Newcastle, while good at home, are in horrible form this season and wouldn’t be shocked to see them drop some points to west ham. Leeds at home on the last day will more than likely ultimately decide if they go down or not, seeing Spurs will have automatic 3 points against Wolves and maybe Leeds. But if spurs don’t beat wolves this weekend, they’re as good as gone. That’s their 3 point lifeline and if they can’t even secure what is essentially a free win, they’re deserve to go down.
A win would have been better obviously, but of course it's a good point. Ourselves, Spurs and Forest could theoretically lose all of our remaining games if you look at the fixtures, any points are massive.
Spurs might beat Wolves but back when they were getting good results at the beginning of the season they needed a stoppage time Palinha equalizer to save a point.. at home.
In my opinion, it’s not. CP after that big win was due for a letdown and tried to give it away in the first half. The fact West Ham couldn’t capitalize is massive for us
Winnable? Have you seen Leeds play. Lmao, they'll destroy Spurs.
I don’t think Spurs beat Leeds at all

@colehargreaves yes that's because you support a team in a farmers league 👍 +
@mia.x.x.xand what league is that?
@colehargreavesI don't know as you're the one thats too nervous to say
"Disappointing knowing we’ve now got to get at least a point at Everton with Spurs picking up 3 points against Wolves."
Bold of you to assume that Spurs will beat Wolves, they haven't won a game in the last 16 or something
If they perform like they did at the weekend they do
At this point, it is just better to accept that we are going down and that shit Millwall is going up, we don’t really have much chances, and it is going to get worse on Championship, say goodbye to Dino, Taty, Summerville and perhaps (or surely) Bowen
We'll still be in the danger zone with goal difference even with a draw. We're in it for the long haul now.
We’ve been fighting relegation since Potter was here. We’ve been in the long haul for a while now!
Agreed. No mentality changes needed from us. We'll find a way! +
Yeah, really feels like we’ve slipped up here
Always a chance tottenham drop points against them
You’d hope so, in fact it’s all I’m hoping lol +
Check Wolves recent home form and Spurs form since November.
"I've just looked at West Ham's fixtures spurs might be safe"
It all comes down to if Spurs beats Wolves or not imo. With that, I think they scratch out maybe another draw or two and survive by a point or on GD. Without all 3 points from Wolves though, it gets a lot more dicey.
Spurs are facing Villa, Leeds, Chelsea and Everton. Can see them losing all to all of them.
Never trust Spurs
Eh, Spurs is looking like 1 win and 4 losses
1 win? That’s generous! +
I think you beat Wolves
Bold of you to assume we’ll get 1 win tbh
I think you beat Wolves
This has always been the biggest reason for west ham being the favorites to go down, but they got some big points and spurs have been blowing it. Similar to Arsenal/City actually. City have the harder run-in but arsenal have just been blowing it every chance they get.
Folks like yourself are very likely unaware that West Ham are one of the most in-form sides with 19 points from their last 12 matches. Pretending like Everton, Brentford, Arsenal, Newcastle, and Leeds aren’t all very winnable matches is ignoring reality.

@WestHam What a bizarre game it’s like the manager and players don’t know what situation we’re in and weren’t up for it. A draw isn’t good enough Spurs beat Wolves we’re in the bottom 3 yet we played for one. Terrible subs again

This season has been utter dogshit in terms of quality, but the one saving grace was the very real possibility of a "big 6" club getting relegated. We can't even have that ffs. They're going to survive yet again.
