How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

I have absolutely no idea what our plan is to play with Isak. We don't seem to play to his strengths (which to be fair he doesn't seem to be able to do either). The early ball from Wirtz through to him is what we should be trying to do constantly, not just lumping it forward and hoping he can make it stick.

A scrappy match that could've gone either way. 1-1 would've been a good result. Seeing Salah score in his last Merseyside derby was comforting, but to actually get 3 points via the big man was exhilarating. And Liverpool will need those points going into these last 5 games, none of which are easy.

Emerging Controversial
Following Liverpool's dramatic 2-1 comeback win over Everton, supporters are rallying behind Cody Gakpo's performance, crediting him with crucial playmaking—particularly the assist for Salah's opening goal—whilst urging fellow fans to recognise his contribution rather than focusing on negatives. Everton Fans Tear Into Barry After Derby Loss
Emerging Controversial
Everton supporters are hammering striker Thierno Barry following Liverpool's dramatic 2-1 Merseyside Derby win, with fans claiming he squandered crucial chances and failed to impose himself when it mattered most in the closing stages. Mamardashvili Injury Overshadows Liverpool's Dramatic Derby Win
Controversial
Fans are consumed with concern over Liverpool's goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili being stretchered off during the match, with supporters anxious about the severity of his injury and its impact on the squad's depth. Cody's Inconsistent Derby Display Divides Liverpool Fans
Controversial
Liverpool supporters are split on Cody Gakpo's performance in the Merseyside derby, with some praising him as one of their standout players whilst others criticise his decision-making and finishing in crucial moments. The debate intensifies after manager Arne Slot's decision to substitute him, leaving fans puzzled over whether it was a tactical masterstroke or a baffling call that removed their most influential attacker.
Fans Fixate on Ndiaye Performance Amid Disallowed Goal Drama
Controversial
Everton and Liverpool supporters spent the match debating Iliman Ndiaye's quality after his involvement in a controversial disallowed goal, with fans split between praising his technical ability and mocking his defending in the incident. The discussion reveals how a single VAR decision can overshadow the entire narrative of a Derby, shifting focus from the officials' call itself to the individual players caught in the moment.
Kavanagh's Merseyside Derby Performance Draws Heavy Criticism
Everton and Liverpool fans were divided on referee Chris Kavanagh's handling of the Merseyside Derby, with many criticising his officiating despite acknowledging his decisions may not have altered the 1-2 result, whilst others defended his display as relatively restrained. The negativity centres on his perceived loss of control early in the match and inconsistent management of the game's flow.
Liverpool Fans Turn on Gravenberch After Derby Loss
Liverpool supporters have launched a sustained critique of midfielder Ryan Gravenberch following the 2-1 defeat to Everton, with 150 posts collectively arguing he's been deployed in the wrong role this season and produced a genuinely poor individual performance. Fans are frustrated that his effective defensive midfielder role from last year has been abandoned for a vague "free roam" attacking position, stripping him of his primary strengths whilst failing to deliver anything meaningful in the final third.
Fans Divided Over Curtis Jones Performance in Merseyside Derby
Emerging Controversial
Liverpool supporters are sharply split on Curtis Jones's display in the 2-1 defeat to Everton, with some praising him as their standout player despite playing out of position at right back, whilst others criticise his performance as substandard. Liverpool Edge Merseyside Derby in Dramatic Fashion

Liverpool clinched a thrilling 2-1 victory over Everton with a stoppage-time winner from Virgil van Dijk, with both sets of supporters acknowledging the intensity and unpredictability that defines derby football, though some Everton fans voiced frustration over refereeing decisions in the defeat.
VVD's Late Drama Overshadows Origi Controversy

Everton Fans Divided Over Beto's Costly Performance
Controversial
Supporters debated Beto's impact in Everton's 1-2 derby loss to Liverpool, with some criticising his wastefulness and technical lapses (including a slip in the box), whilst others acknowledged his recent improvement and recognised his absence in the closing stages hurt the team's ability to push for an equaliser. The discussion ultimately reflected frustration at a narrow defeat where individual errors and squad depth proved costly.
Woodman's Surprise Derby Baptism Amid Injury Crisis
Controversial
Fans are debating Freddie Woodman's emergency appearance for Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby, with opinion split between those praising his composed performance under pressure and others criticising the attacking play for failing to properly test the third-choice goalkeeper. The discussion is heavily framed around Liverpool's injury crisis forcing an unlikely goalkeeper into a high-stakes fixture, rather than the dramatic late winner from Virgil van Dijk.
Liverpool Fans Turn on Konate After Derby Loss
Emerging
With Liverpool losing 2-1 to Everton in a dramatic late collapse, supporters have seized on defender Ibou Konate's performance as a major problem, with 330 posts dissecting his errors and debating whether he's become a genuine liability compared to the more protected Virgil van Dijk. The discussion reveals deep frustration about his form regression over recent seasons, split between those demanding his exit and others defending his potential.
Liverpool Edge Merseyside Derby in Dramatic Fashion
Emerging
Fans are largely discussing Newcastle's attacking struggles and Alexander Isak's fitness issues rather than the Everton-Liverpool match itself, with supporters debating whether the Swedish striker can justify his price tag once fully recovered from injury. The derby appears to have generated neutral sentiment as it produced a tightly contested 2-1 Liverpool victory that resolved late in extra time.
Everton Fans Rage Over Eleven Minutes Added Time
Emerging
Everton supporters are furious that the referee awarded eleven minutes of stoppage time, viewing it as excessive and ultimately decisive in Liverpool's dramatic 90+10 winner from Virgil van Dijk. Fans argue the stoppages were inflated and point to key injuries—particularly Jarrad Branthwaite's departure—as factors that left them vulnerable during the extended period.
Salah's Late Drama Decides Heated Merseyside Derby

Controversial

Liverpool Fans Debate Rio's Inconsistency After Derby Loss
Emerging
Liverpool supporters are split on young player Rio's performance during the Merseyside Derby defeat, with some praising his willingness to take chances whilst others argue the team is overrelying on him to create moments and he needs time to develop consistency. The debate centres on whether Rio deserves patience as a developing talent or if the club's senior players should shoulder more responsibility in big matches.
Liverpool Fans Turn on Slot After Merseyside Stalemate
Emerging
Liverpool supporters are deeply frustrated with manager Arne Slot's tactical decisions, training methods, and player management, with many calling for his sacking after the side's inconsistent performances this season. Emerging Controversial
Liverpool supporters are euphoric after Virgil van Dijk's stoppage-time header secured a 2-1 victory over Everton, with fans crediting the defender's crucial moment to rescue their Champions League hopes and deliver emotional redemption in the Merseyside derby. Pickford's Nightmare Derby Loss Sparks Goalkeeper Scrutiny
Emerging
Everton and Liverpool fans are locked in debate over Jordan Pickford's performance in the Reds' 2-1 Merseyside Derby victory, with Liverpool supporters revelling in the goalkeeper's struggles—particularly his weakness at set pieces that led to Van Dijk's injury-time winner. The discussion pulls in historical grievances, questioning Pickford's suitability for international football whilst Everton fans defend his overall display in what was otherwise a competitive match.

The debate cuts deeper than just one match — it's about whether Wirtz genuinely fits Slot's system or represents poor investment in the midfield.
Everton Fans Slam Defensive Chaos in Liverpool Loss
Emerging
Everton supporters are furious at their side's defending during Liverpool's late winner, with particular criticism aimed at fullback Jarrad McNeil for his role in gifting possession and failing to track runners effectively in crucial moments. The discourse centres on abysmal defensive organisation and individual errors that cost them the derby, with fans questioning basic tactical discipline rather than celebrating Beto's equaliser.
VAR Offside Call Divides Everton and Liverpool Fans
Fans debated the correctness of a disallowed goal for offside, with most acknowledging it was the right call despite its marginal nature, whilst some questioned whether VAR's precision was genuinely being applied consistently. The discussion reveals frustration less about the decision itself and more about Everton's inability to create attacking opportunities and compete, with supporters recognising that relying on refereeing margins won't salvage their performance.
Everton's Late Collapse as VAR Controversy Fades Away
Emerging Controversial
Everton fans are devastated by a 1-2 derby loss to Liverpool, but their anger has shifted from the disallowed goal in the first half to their own shocking defensive collapse and lack of cutting edge in attack. The overarching frustration is that even when they had Liverpool on the ropes, poor substitutions, sloppy defending, and missing a genuine centre forward cost them what should have been a winnable match.
Fans Divided Over Curtis Jones Performance
Emerging Controversial
Liverpool supporters are sharply split on Curtis Jones's display in the 1-2 defeat to Everton, with some praising his work rate and defensive contributions whilst others felt he had a rough outing, creating debate about whether his performance warranted the scrutiny it received. The mixed verdict reflects the contentious nature of assessing a player in a losing effort, particularly when he played out of position.
Fans Divided on Controversial Defender After Derby Heartbreak
Emerging Controversial
Everton and Liverpool supporters clashed over a polarising defensive performance during their 2-1 defeat, with some praising commitment and effort whilst others questioned technical ability and consistency at the highest level. The 678-post discussion reveals deep disagreement about whether the player's intensity and passion compensate for ongoing reliability concerns.
Everton and Liverpool Fans Dissect Gravy's Performance
Controversial
Supporters are heavily criticising Gravy's attacking output and general play, with particular frustration directed at his wastefulness in front of goal and inability to consistently pass or shoot at quality. Liverpool fans are additionally blaming manager Slot's tactical decision to push him higher up the pitch, arguing he's been rendered ineffective when deployed away from his natural deeper role.
Liverpool Edge Everton as Salah's Derby Heroics Continue

Everton Fans Fixate on Tarkowski in Late Defeat
Despite Liverpool's dramatic 90th-minute winner ending the Merseyside derby 2-1, Everton supporters are obsessing over a hair-pull incident involving Burnley loanee Tarkowski rather than discussing the actual match result or goals. The neutral sentiment reflects fans using the incident as a deflection point rather than engaging seriously with their side's performance or the late heartbreak.
Liverpool Fans Celebrate Anfield Victory in Chaotic Finale
Emerging
Following Liverpool's dramatic 2-1 comeback win over Everton at Goodison Park, supporters are celebrating the three points with irreverent jokes about the stadium's nickname and location, whilst acknowledging the emotional toll of a tense match that went deep into injury time. The neutral sentiment reflects a mix of relief and humour rather than outright anger about refereeing decisions, despite VAR's involvement earlier in the match.
Everton's Injury Crisis Deepens in Merseyside Derby Loss
Emerging
Everton fans are devastated not just by Liverpool's dramatic 2-1 victory—sealed by Virgil van Dijk's stoppage-time header—but by two players being stretchered off during the second half, with concerns mounting over the club's mounting injury toll. The discussion reveals genuine alarm about the physical toll of the match and whether Everton can survive the season with their squad depleted.
Everton Fans Turn on George After Derby Defeat
Emerging Controversial
Everton supporters are heavily criticising a substitute appearance by George during the Merseyside Derby loss to Liverpool, with fans split between demanding he be loaned out for experience and arguing his poor performance actively worsened their midfield display. The negative sentiment centres on inconsistency and tactical positioning errors rather than potential, as some defend his technical ability whilst others call for a wholesale defensive overhaul.
Fans Mock Everton's New Stadium After Liverpool Win
Emerging Controversial
Rather than debating referee decisions, supporters are primarily slagging off Everton's new ground — variously criticising its name, soulless atmosphere, and lack of character compared to the old Goodison Park — whilst Liverpool fans wind them up by suggesting the shiny new stadium is simply a gift for Van Dijk to score the winner in the dying minutes.
Everton Fans Demand Manager Overhaul After Collapse
Everton supporters are turning on their manager following a devastating late loss to Liverpool, with fans arguing that tactical incoherence, poor pressing organisation, and lack of synergy have reduced the club to mid-table mediocrity. The consensus is brutal: this manager has failed and needs replacing immediately, or the club's decline will continue.
Fans Debate Third-Choice Keeper After Chaotic Derby
Emerging
Everton and Liverpool supporters spent the match discussing goalkeeper selection, with particular focus on Liverpool's third-choice keeper and whether Everton adequately tested him during the goalless first half. Everton Fans Implode After Late Liverpool Heartbreak

Van Dijk's Heartbreaker Leaves Everton Devastated
Controversial
Everton fans are gutted after Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk scored deep into stoppage time to snatch a 2-1 victory in a fiercely contested derby, with supporters particularly frustrated by a controversial VAR decision earlier in the match that had shifted momentum. Despite moments of good football from both sides, the late goal has left the home crowd deflated and questioning what might have been.
Everton Fans Dissect Squad Spending Amid Derby Frustration
Everton supporters are heavily criticising their summer transfer business and tactical approach following their late defeat to Liverpool, with particular focus on failed recruitment decisions and the manager's tactical limitations despite significant investment. The fanbase is questioning whether spending half a billion pounds has genuinely improved the team's competitiveness, especially with specific frustration aimed at defensive recruitment and striker quality.
Everton Fans Fuming at Referee's Inconsistent Yellows
Supporters across the board are accusing the referee of one-sided officiating in Liverpool's 2-1 win, claiming Liverpool players escaped punishment for persistent fouling whilst Everton received cards for dissent. The overwhelmingly negative reaction centres on the contrast between minimal disciplinary action overall (just one yellow shown) and what fans perceived as blatant bias favouring the visitors.
Liverpool Fans Debate Curtis Jones Man of the Match
The discussion centres on Liverpool's narrow 2-1 victory over Everton, with fans engaged in a light-hearted debate about who deserved the man-of-the-match award—primarily Curtis Jones, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk—via what appears to be a sponsored Carlsberg poll. The tone is decidedly neutral, with supporters offering their picks without significant controversy around the referee's actual decisions during the match.
Merseyside Derby Ends in Late Drama and Reactions
Emerging

Liverpool Fans Celebrate Late Derby Victory Over Everton
Emerging Controversial

Robbo's Last Derby Moment Sparks Mixed Reactions
Emerging Controversial
Liverpool fans are fixated on Andrew Robertson's late attempts in what appears to be his final Merseyside derby, with supporters torn between admiration for the captain's legacy and frustration at his increasingly desperate shot-taking as the match slips away. The discussion reveals a fanbase grappling with both emotion and tactical concern as Van Dijk's injury-time winner steals a dramatic victory.
Liverpool Steal Dramatic Derby Win in Injury Time Chaos
Fans are dissecting Liverpool's controversial late winner from Virgil van Dijk's header in the 90th minute, with discussion centring on a missed corner kick opportunity moments earlier and the increasingly chaotic nature of set-piece defending in modern football. The neutral sentiment reflects a split between Liverpool supporters celebrating a "smash and grab" victory they admit they didn't deserve, and Everton fans frustrated by defensive lapses in the closing stages.
Everton and Liverpool Fans Clash Over Referee Performance
Supporters from both sides have engaged in heated debate about referee decisions during the 1-2 derby defeat, with particular frustration directed at VAR's disallowed goal and inconsistent penalty appeals throughout the match. Fans are split on whether officials favoured one team, though many acknowledge the referee's controversial management of the game created unnecessary tension in what should have been a cleaner contest.
Everton Fans Blame Mentality After Late Liverpool Loss
Everton supporters are furious after losing 1-2 to Liverpool with a controversial late goal, directing their anger at the team's poor passing, decision-making, and lack of mental resilience rather than individual match events. Fans are criticising everything from basic ball retention to predictable attacking patterns, arguing the squad's repeated failure to execute simple football reflects a deeper "loser mentality" stemming from the manager's approach.
Everton Fans Turn on Thierno Barry After Merseyside Derby Defeat
Emerging
Everton supporters have launched a scathing critique of striker Thierno Barry following the 1-2 loss to Liverpool, with fans claiming he showed no effort or conviction when called upon as a substitute and demanding the club sell him in the summer. The consensus is brutally clear: Barry's attitude has collapsed since a previous incident, and Everton wasted a genuine opportunity to get a result because his lacklustre performance couldn't match the impact of Beto before injury forced him off the pitch.
Liverpool Fans Tempered Joy After Dramatic Merseyside Derby Win

Emerging
Liverpool and Everton supporters are scrutinising Arne Slot's substitution decisions and team selection, with particular focus on whether Rio should have started ahead of Gakpo and when attacking reinforcements were introduced during the goalless first half. The discussion frames these goals as iconic, especially if they prove significant to the season's larger narrative around Champions League qualification.
Everton Fans Blame Moyes After Derby Loss to Liverpool
Emerging
Everton supporters are heavily criticising manager David Moyes for his substitution decisions and tactical approach during the 1-2 Merseyside Derby defeat, arguing that his substitutes killed their momentum when they were controlling the game. Fans are expressing frustration at a pattern under Moyes where Everton fail to capitalise on better form or favourable positions in derbies, consistently losing "on the finest margins" despite dominating periods of play.
Liverpool Fans Celebrate Van Dijk's Dramatic Derby Winner
Fifty-nine posts from Liverpool supporters are revelling in Virgil van Dijk's 100th-minute header that sealed a 2-1 comeback victory over Everton in the Merseyside Derby, with fans treating the late winner as poetic justice and drawing comparisons to John Tarkowski's last-minute goal in the final derby at Goodison Park. The mood is overwhelmingly celebratory, with supporters expressing relief and satisfaction at snatching victory from the jaws of a draw, particularly relishing Everton's early exit from the stadium before the final whistle.
Everton's Misery in Merseyside Derby Loss
Everton supporters are venting their frustration after another disappointing performance in a 1-2 defeat to Liverpool, with fans despairing at how "shite" they are and questioning the overall quality of Premier League football. Despite equalising through Beto, they couldn't hold on as Van Dijk's late header sealed yet another loss, leaving the fanbase convinced their side is among the division's worst performers.

Everton fans are devastated after conceding a 90+10 minute winner to Virgil van Dijk, with the overwhelmingly negative sentiment reflecting disbelief at losing a match they'd fought back into with Beto's equaliser. "A scrappy match that could've gone either way. 1-1 would've been a good result. Seeing Salah score in his last Merseyside derby was comforting, but to actually get 3 points via the big man was exhilarating. And Liverpool will need those points going into these last 5 games, none of which are easy."
"I watched the game today as a neutral, and the ref today was so biased, Liverpool and especially Gravenberch kicked the Everton players non stop for the first half, yet no cards for the consistent fouling, Gravenberch had committed about five fouls in the first 20mins, and every decision was no card and play on. I had to turn it off it as the decisions were so one sided. Not surprised to see that the winning goal was also a foul on a Everton player."
"From a Liverpool supporter here in Ireland, i went to visit both at Easter, Anfield and the Hill Dickenson, beautiful stadium, fair play to Everton. Wonderful city. Wonderful people. A nice win today, even if yet, again, it was way past in overtime, a bit lucky. Van Dijk will be gone anyway by next season i reckon. An important 3 points this, but Everton is not our enemy, not mine anyway, thry ate not the threat, it's Man. United, we should be chasing them down to the last minute for the last match of the season, overtake their third spot. Catch them if we can. Go all out now for the time that is left. Our focus must be on reeling in Manchester United."

I don't care if I get downvoted by Salah fans. VIRGIL VAN DIJK is greater than Mo Salah as a Liverpool player. Captain, more consistent, best in his position, closer to Ballon D'or, and about to play longer for Liverpool. +
"Wirtz hasn’t done a single thing correctly"
I think he's been ok, played a few good passes but far from spectacular. Him and Isak have the potential to form an amazing partnership - need to see him move up a gear. +
Seems to position himself directly behind defenders and doesn’t move around in the box. Puts his back to the goal in a static position.
He plays some nice passes but he looks like a little boy on the pitch, I'm sure he will improve when the whole team is actually playing better but it's clear he's not the player we thought we were buying
This
He’s not having th best of games but creating 2 chances one for gakpo and one for isak
Done more wrong than right for sure. We don’t get him the ball enough in the middle of the pitch tho IMO
I'm just not convinced he or Isak are going to live up to those price tags, I have to be honest. I'm not even sure it's fair to expect*anyone* to. It was an absolutely mental amount of money that looks more baffling with each passing week.
Yeah two premier league record singing in one window ia crazy. Heaps pressure on the players, more expectation, harder to replace if doesn't work out or they get injured.
Considering how they’ve been outplayed by players city and other clubs have bought at a fraction of the cost I.e. cherki
Because Pep is an elite coach +
"If Beto hadn't gotten injured, or if we had a centre forward worthy of the name, I think we'd have win that game. They were shite."
If it hadn’t been for… story of your history. 1995
I think we'd have **won** that game. Evertonian's can't even spell, let alone score a goal.
Going to another sub to correct grammar isn’t the flex that you think it is, champ
Yeah I'm struggling to see what Barry dies better than beto. Betos physicality is so much better.
The game seemed to underscore the exact issues we've known about all season. With a fit grealish, a proper striker, and either a fit brantwaithe for the full game or another more reliable player on the back line, we absolutely would have won that. This season has always been a building season for the run to come, but having those rough edges get exposed in the derby stings +
We will never have a fit Branthwaite the whole season, think that much is obvious now.
He's never leaving because he's always going to be injured in the summer.
Fuck it, if we'd just taken Beto off and not brought Barry on we would have done better
I’d much rather we keep Beto and get rid of Barry this summer. He’s just been a pouty passenger the whole season. Way she fucking goes. I hate the derby. Deserved to win that one
> Deserved to win that one Didn’t test their 3rd choice keeper once. We didn’t deserve more than a point.
"Curtis Jones what a performance "
Motm for me. Excellent on the ball, we've missed that build up player at RB. +
Frustrating at times cruyff turning 3 times 10 yards away from our goal but struck the perfect balance between control and intensity. Can't say the same for anyone else
He does run with the ball too much at times, but he does put a proper shift in.
Too bad he’s being driven out the club for “Wharton”
For Wharton? He's been driven out to keep playing Gravenberch
I mean his fee will go to the summer window transfer fund. Our genius leaders decided to give Grav 270k instead of reassessing after the season so we’re stuck regardless.
Was a hard job. There was only one moment I absolutely hated from him he was strolling around off the ball and completely lost track of the runner. He’s confident on the ball but has to be working harder getting back in
Same, it was when Everton was on the counterattack and when Curtis was supposed to press Dewsbury-Hall, he lets Konaté handle it, causing Konaté to deprive the defense of shape, with the oncoming runner winning against Gravy, who Curtis also could have helped in preventing, but was still walking We are fortunate that Everton chance was off
he’s not a right back mate calm down
That’s not a thing exclusive to fullbacks. If he’s in midfield he still has to do that job of chasing back a runner. It’s defensive awareness and heart to get back and chase.
"I’m happy enough tbh. Just stop waffling about in defence (jones) And for the love of god give Isak the ball it’s that simple "
Same. I’ve honestly just accepted that that’s who Jones is tbh. He will just never learn.
I don't understand how things still look this disconnected with him, front 3 with Salah and Gakpo wide has not worked a single time since they don't connect with him and we still keep playing the exact same way now as we were in October. Guarantee we'll take him off and immediately start sending a ton of crosses in as per usual.
Tbf it was my primary concern last season. Diogo and Darwin both struggled to get involved, Diaz had some more luck but he was a cf moreso who linked things up. Was hoping it was improve this year but ah well 😂
For sure, Salah and Gakpo are incredibly similar profiles on the wing which I've never liked, it can be good to have two goal threats but both being so direct makes the team way less fluid imo. You're absolutely right that we need a CF between those two, Diaz was our most effective player there last year despite barely scoring because of this. Playing Isak in between those two is setting him up to fail and I've been super frustrated that he's seen the majority of his minutes in this setup instead of with wing players like Rio or Frimpong (in the first half of the season he was barely played with Wirtz either).
I think it’s a bit part of our problem this year. We’re stuck between two sides, we want to transition to a striker focused attack with provider wingers like Rio, but you can’t really do that with Cody and Salah as your main wingers. Leads to us being a bit disjointed and then just topples further
Our team is still very “let’s play through our wingers” focused… and both our wingers are strikers in disguise so it’s not like they’ll look to make plays for Isak either
It's not that simple to just give isak the ball. Ekitike used to drop deep or push to the wider areas to get the ball and make link up play. Isak has done none of that. Idk if it's a tactical change or just a fitness issue, but it's a problem. I suspect that it's the second.
Ekitike dropping deep and picking it up didn’t lead to us scoring, basically all of his goals were just outside the six yard box
It made our attacking play much better, and disrupted the defensive shape of teams. Ekitike dropping deep would basically drag a player out of position and hence we would be able to find space. It would help in the build up play which you can say helps in the attack. +
And that’s why Ekitike developed this weird need to keep the ball and get it to the box himself that’s been so frustrating the last few months. Our team is very poor at utilisation a CF for what they are there for.
