How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

When Gabriel can’t get away with pulling and grabbing and fouling everyone in a 5 mile radius, he really isn’t all that. Errors in him and a bit of a coward in proper battles. Only reason he doesn’t see red is that Haaland’s not arsed.

Fan Narratives
Arsenal Title Hopes Dented as City Surge Ahead
Emerging Controversial
Fans are locked in debate over whether Manchester City have seized control of the title race after this dramatic comeback win, with Arsenal supporters warning against panic whilst City fans declare the championship already won. The conversation centres on Arsenal's remaining fixtures and whether they can still overhaul City's lead, though the neutral mood reflects genuine uncertainty about how this result reshapes the season's final stretch.
Arsenal Fans Turn on Kai Havertz After Crucial Miss
Controversial
Following Arsenal's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City, supporters have targeted Kai Havertz for a costly missed chance in a decisive match, with many questioning why manager Mikel Arteta didn't start top scorer Gyökeres instead. The discussion reveals frustration over a pivotal moment that potentially cost Arsenal in the title race, with fans describing Havertz's performance as a "disaster class."
Donna's Redemption Arc in Goalkeeping Display
Controversial
Fans are locked in debate about the goalkeeper's performance, with supporters divided between criticising early mistakes and eventually praising crucial saves that kept the match competitive. The discussion captures a classic narrative of redemption, where initial errors were offset by match-defining moments that won back the fan base's confidence.
Arsenal Fans Sharply Divided On Odegaard's Performance
Controversial
Following a goalless draw with Manchester City, Arsenal supporters engaged in heated debate over whether captain Martin Ødegaard's display was crucial to keeping the scoreline respectable or ultimately ineffective. The discussion reveals deep disagreement within the fanbase, with some praising his defensive work and ball retention whilst others criticised his timidity and negative passing patterns.
Fans Slam Substitution Choices in Frustrating Draw
Emerging
Manchester City and Arsenal supporters are heavily criticising the tactical decisions made by their managers regarding substitute selections, with the bench options failing to inspire confidence or change the outcome of a tightly contested 0-0 stalemate. The discussion centres on how poor squad rotation choices undermined both sides' ability to break the deadlock.
Fans Divided Over Hincapie Dive Controversy
Emerging Controversial
Arsenal and Manchester City supporters are locked in heated debate over whether Hincapie earned a legitimate penalty or theatrically dived in the box, with sentiment split between those criticising his dramatic tumble and those arguing he was genuinely fouled. The 227 posts reveal a deeply polarised fanbase unable to reach consensus on one of the match's most contentious moments.
Referee Decisions Spark Neutral Fan Debate Post-Match
Emerging
Fans across both Manchester City and Arsenal camps engaged in a relatively balanced discussion about officiating choices during the 2-1 encounter, with neutral sentiment prevailing as supporters debated controversial calls without clear consensus emerging. The 117 posts remained measured in tone, suggesting disagreement over refereeing decisions was present but not polarising enough to ignite the typical post-match fury you'd normally expect from a tight title-race collision.
Cherki's Early Strike Sparks City Comeback Victory
Emerging Controversial
Manchester City fans are focused on Rayan Cherki's controversial opening goal and his overall impact on the match, with discussion ranging from the quality of his finish to his ball-handling issues that eventually led to his substitution. The neutral sentiment reflects a mix of praise for his clinical play and criticism of his tendency to lose possession during the game.
Manchester City Fans Hail O'Reilly's Defensive Masterclass
Controversial
Over 450 posts from City supporters are lavishing praise on young midfielder Nico O'Reilly for a dominant performance in the 0-0 draw against Arsenal, with fans consistently naming him Man of the Match for his composure and ability to neutralise Arsenal's attacking threat. The overwhelmingly positive reception highlights City's trust in academy graduates and suggests fans view his development as a genuine bright spot despite failing to break down the league leaders.
Referee Decisions Leave Fans Baffled and Bemused
Emerging
Fans from both Manchester City and Arsenal are expressing confusion and disbelief at refereeing calls during their goalless draw, with the sample posts dominated by bewildered reactions rather than substantive debate about specific decisions. The overwhelmingly neutral sentiment suggests a mixture of frustration and dark humour rather than outright anger at any single controversial moment.
Arsenal Fans Fury Over Gabriel's Unpunished Red Card Incident
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are seething over Gabriel Magalhães escaping a red card offence during the match — either for a shirt pull or headbutt depending on which incident they're referencing — with widespread anger that VAR failed to intervene and cost their title rivals Manchester City a numerical advantage. The consensus is scathing: a clear red card was bottled by the officials, consistency is dead, and the decision will have real consequences in the run-in.
Fans Rage Over Inconsistent Stoppage Time Decisions
Emerging
Manchester City and Arsenal supporters are fuming about the seemingly arbitrary seven minutes of added time at the end of the match, with fans pointing out the inconsistency in how referees award injury time across different games in the same matchweek. The debate centres on whether the league needs standardised guidelines rather than leaving it entirely to individual referee discretion.
Manchester City Fans Torn Over Semenyo's Wasteful Display
Emerging
Despite City's 2-1 victory, 756 posts reveal supporters are heavily criticising Antoine Semenyo's performance, with fans highlighting his poor touch, misplaced passes, and overall ineffectiveness in midfield — though some acknowledge he wasn't alone in struggling, with debate raging over whether Pep Guardiola made questionable selection calls. The overwhelming negativity suggests that whilst the three points papered over the cracks, Semenyo's individual display has left the fanbase questioning his suitability for big matches, particularly when alternatives like Cherki were benched.
Arsenal Fans Rage Over Eze Substitution Against City
Emerging Controversial
Over 1,200 posts capturing Arsenal supporters furious at Mikel Arteta's decision to remove Eze from the pitch whilst chasing the game in a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City, with fans arguing he was one of their most dangerous attacking outlets and that substituting him for defensive options epitomises the manager's overly cautious approach when the side needs goals.
Fans Scrutinise Rice's World-Class Status After Neutral Display
Following Arsenal's goalless draw with Manchester City, supporters are debating whether Declan Rice has been overrated by English media and pundits, with many arguing he's been elevated beyond his actual ability and outperformed by players like Bruno Fernandes and Rodri in recent matchups. The discussion centres on whether Rice deserves consideration for Player of the Year awards, with critics suggesting his profile is inflated due to his nationality rather than genuine world-class performance.
Bernardo Silva Dominates as City Draw Blank
Emerging Controversial
Manchester City fans are raving about Bernardo Silva's all-action midfield performance in the goalless stalemate against Arsenal, praising his work rate, technical ability, and crucial contributions when injuries disrupted City's setup. The Portuguese midfielder's tireless running and positioning have become the focal point of post-match discussion, with supporters highlighting how he effectively carried City's attacking threat throughout the match.
Arsenal Fans Vent After City Loss Despite Improved Display
Emerging Controversial
Arsenal supporters are frustrated that despite playing their best football in months against Manchester City, they've surrendered a 2-1 defeat that feels symptomatic of a broader collapse in form since January. The overriding sentiment is one of regret — fans believe their recent poor performances against lower-ranked sides (Bournemouth, Forest, Wolves, Brentford) have cost them far more points than this loss, and that City's fortune in tight matches has compounded what's become a crisis of confidence at the top of the table.
Arsenal Fans Pile On Raya After Goalless Draw
Arsenal supporters are relentlessly mocking goalkeeper David Raya for his diminutive stature and perceived limitations during the 0-0 stalemate with Manchester City, with particular focus on jokes about his height, inability to take throw-ins, and a contentious refereeing decision that went his way. The largely negative sentiment reflects frustration with both the result and Raya's physical presence as a potential weakness in the title race.
Doku's Fatigue Under Scrutiny in City Stalemate
Emerging
Fans across both sides heavily scrutinised Erling Haaland's performance and his impact on Manchester City's attacking play during their goalless draw with Arsenal, with particular focus on whether the striker's off-day was tactical or technical. The discussion also centred on Doku's apparent exhaustion and ineffectiveness as the match wore on, with numerous calls for his substitution in the second half as his influence visibly dwindled.
Arsenal Fans Tear Into Madueke's Woeful First-Half Display
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are absolutely hammering Chelsea loanee Madueke after a genuinely dreadful opening 45 minutes, where he repeatedly gave the ball away and offered nothing going forward before being hauled off for Martinelli. The negativity is real—fans are openly mocking his performance and sarcastically suggesting he might've begged to come off himself.
Arsenal Fans Divided Over Nwaneri's Inconsistent Form
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are split on young defender Noni Nwaneri's reliability, with some praising his defensive contributions whilst others argue he's not good enough and prefer alternatives like Martinelli, despite the latter's own struggles this season. The debate reflects deeper frustration about squad depth and recruitment priorities.
Fans Split on Mosquera's Yellow Card Gamble
Emerging
Supporters are debating whether Arsenal should have substituted Cristhian Mosquera after his 36th-minute yellow card, with some arguing he was playing well enough to risk staying on despite the danger of a second booking. The discussion reflects divided opinion on whether his attacking threat justified keeping him on the pitch or whether defensive prudence should have won out.
Gabriel's Late Headbutt Sparks Heated Debate
Emerging
Fans are divided over whether Gabriel Magalhães should have been sent off for a late-game headbutt on Erling Haaland that only earned him a yellow card, with Arsenal and Manchester City supporters arguing fiercely about the severity of the incident, Haaland's reaction, and inconsistent refereeing standards. The confrontation has become the focal point of post-match discussion, overshadowing the broader context of the match itself.
Fans Praise Khusanov's Defence Despite Controversial Red Card
Emerging Controversial
Manchester City and neutral supporters are highlighting Khusanov's commanding defensive performance in what appears to be a contentious sending-off incident, with multiple posts singling out the defender's composure and quality on the ball throughout the match. The discussion centres on defensive partnerships and individual brilliance rather than the controversial nature of the red card itself.
Fans Debate Controversial Dribble and Finishing Quality
Controversial
Manchester City and Arsenal supporters clashed over whether a key moment in their 0-0 stalemate represented a controversial piece of play or legitimate skill, with discussion fragmenting into disagreement about execution and responsibility. The neutral sentiment reflects genuine division—some praised the technical ability on display whilst others criticised decision-making, leaving the fanbase split on whether to celebrate or criticise what unfolded.
Arsenal Fans Divided Over Havertz's Big Game Role
Emerging
Over 1,300 posts centre on Arsenal supporters fiercely debating whether Kai Havertz deserves to be their starting striker in crucial matches, with many arguing his positioning cost them dearly in a title-race showdown, whilst others insist he's genuinely their best option upfront. The negativity stems from frustration that his inconsistency and injury record make him an unreliable choice when three points feel non-negotiable.
Arsenal Fans Blast Diving as "Part of the Game"
Manchester City and neutral supporters are venting frustration over multiple diving incidents during the match, with particular criticism aimed at Arsenal players and manager Mikel Arteta for theatrics rather than genuine contact. The broader complaint is that modern football actively rewards simulation because players who stay on their feet are effectively penalising themselves — creating a culture where diving has become normalised rather than stamped out.
Fans Fury Over Taylor's Controversial Man City vs Arsenal Call
Emerging Controversial
Manchester City and neutral supporters are divided over Anthony Taylor's refereeing performance, with many claiming he bottled crucial decisions and failed to send off Arsenal players who deserved red cards, whilst others argue he managed the match adequately. The negative sentiment centres on accusations that Taylor's reluctance to make bold calls in a high-stakes fixture effectively helped Arsenal stay competitive when they should have been reduced to ten men.
Fans Criticise Ben White's Time-Wasting Tactics
Emerging
Arsenal supporters have zeroed in on defender Ben White's deliberate time-wasting during the closing stages, with repeated complaints about his excessively slow throw-ins in the final minutes. The negativity reflects frustration at what fans view as cynical, cheating behaviour when the team needed to protect a lead.
City and Arsenal Fans Frustrate Over Stalemate Tactics
Manchester City and Arsenal supporters vented their frustration over a cautious, conservative approach that left both sides unable to break the deadlock in a goalless draw. Fans criticised passive play, poor passing decisions, and a lack of attacking intent—with particular anger directed at time-wasting tactics and the unwillingness to take risks in crucial moments.
Man City
Emerging Controversial
Hold on — there's a major mismatch in your data here that I need to flag straight up. Your match data says the final score was **Man City 0-0 Arsenal**, but your match events show **2-1** with goals
Manchester City And Arsenal Fans Split On Key Player Form
Emerging Controversial
With 920 posts discussing the goalless draw between Manchester City and Arsenal, supporters are deeply divided over whether a central attacking figure deserves more patience or has fundamentally lost their edge this season. The debate hinges on recent dips in performance versus underlying commitment, with fans split between viewing the player as a fraud versus someone unfairly scapegoated by media scrutiny.
Title Race Drama as Season Reaches Critical Point
Controversial
Fans are locked in a tense debate about whether the championship is genuinely still alive or already decided, with Arsenal and Manchester City supporters trading barbs about their respective seasons and prospects. The discussion reflects the high stakes of a title race that appears to be going down to the wire, though sentiment remains cautiously neutral as supporters brace for a climactic finish.
Arsenal Fans Divided Over Arteta's Title Credentials
Emerging Controversial
Arsenal supporters are split between backing Mikel Arteta to finally deliver a Premier League title after years of near-misses, and those demanding he prove himself or face the sack if he fails again. The discussion centres on whether the manager deserves continued faith or if his track record of falling short when it matters most is grounds for scepticism.
Arsenal Fans Face Backlash Over Smugness and Banter
Emerging Controversial
Following Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Manchester City, the discussion has spiralled into fans attacking Arsenal supporters' behaviour both online and in rival banter, with accusations that their smugness when winning makes them insufferable and widely disliked across the football community. The negativity centres on how Arsenal fans allegedly antagonise rivals during good form whilst playing the victim when results turn, with other supporters using the stalemate as ammunition in a broader character assassination of the fanbase.
Arsenal Fans Criticise Martinelli After Blunt Display
Emerging Controversial
Following Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Manchester City, supporters have hammered winger Gabriele Martinelli for an anonymous, error-strewn performance, with fans questioning his decision-making, tactical positioning, and overall impact on the match. The overwhelming consensus is that he was thoroughly outplayed and invisible when Arsenal needed creative spark in attack.
Arsenal Fans Turn on Zubimendi After Poor Performance
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are expressing frustration with Zubimendi's display during the match, criticising his laziness, shaky passing, and overall lack of intensity in a high-energy league, with many questioning why he remained on the pitch for so long before being substituted. The consensus among fans is that his performance was subpar and represents a missed opportunity, with some suggesting the club dodged a bullet by not investing heavily in him.
Pep's Tactical Masterclass Divides Manchester City Fans
Emerging
Manchester City supporters are engaged in a heated debate about Pep Guardiola's management during their 0-0 draw with Arsenal, with some praising his tactical acumen and championship pedigree whilst others criticise his team selection and in-game decisions. Fans Debate Gyokeres Impact In City Stalemate

Donnarumma's Distribution Divides City and Arsenal Fans
Emerging Controversial
Fans are locked in debate over Manchester City goalkeeper Donnarumma's performance, with some blaming his careless ball-playing for gifting Arsenal chances whilst others credit him with crucial saves that kept City competitive. The discussion reveals a fundamental tension in modern football: the trade-off between a keeper's distribution security and his sweeping, progressive passing out from the back.
Arsenal Fans Turn on Odegaard After Blank Stalemate
Emerging Controversial
Following Arsenal's goalless draw with Manchester City, supporters have become increasingly critical of captain Martin Odegaard's creative output and leadership on the pitch, with many questioning his suitability for the armband. The debate centres on whether his passing range and decision-making are adequate for a club fighting at the top of the table, with some defending him whilst others argue he's simply not delivering when it matters most.
Arsenal Fans Lament Key Absences in Disappointing Draw
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are frustrated about missing injured players—particularly Bukayo Saka and Jurriën Timber—whose absence on the right flank left the defence exposed and the attack blunt. Fans are using the goalless stalemate as evidence that these key performers are irreplaceable to Mikel Arteta's system, with some sarcastically comparing current players unfavourably to what Saka brings when fit.
Manchester City and Arsenal Fans Clash Over Manager Futures
Emerging
Fans are deeply divided over their managers' performances and future at the club, with City supporters calling for change whilst Arsenal fans debate whether injuries are masking underlying tactical issues. Manchester City supporters are divided over whether young keeper James Trafford deserves more playing time, with some arguing he's a superior ball-playing option to the club's current number one. The discussion centres on his composure and technical ability, particularly in building play from the back, amid broader debate about the club's goalkeeping situation.
Arsenal Fans Rue Missed Chances in Goalless Draw
Emerging Controversial
Arsenal supporters are frustrated after failing to convert multiple clear-cut opportunities against Manchester City, with several posts highlighting wasted chances and narrow misses (including shots hitting the woodwork) that could have changed the result. The neutral sentiment reflects a mixed reaction—acknowledgement of decent attacking play mixed with disappointment at clinical finishing when it mattered most.
Referee Calls Spark Divided Fan Debate
Emerging Controversial
With nearly 900 posts discussing the officials' performance during City's narrow loss to Arsenal, supporters remain split on whether the key decisions were justified, though the overwhelmingly brief and fragmented sample posts suggest fans are either frustrated with the analysis itself or reluctant to elaborate on contentious calls. The neutral sentiment reflects genuine disagreement among the fanbase rather than consensus criticism or praise of the referee's handling.
Haaland's Decisive Goal and Post-Match Swagger Dominate
Emerging
Manchester City fans are celebrating Haaland's 65th-minute winner that sealed a 2-1 victory, with discussion centring on his yellow card for a headbutt incident and his notably composed, smirking demeanour in post-match interviews. City and Arsenal Fans Frustrated by Stalemate Stagnation
Emerging
Supporters of both sides expressed disappointment at a goalless draw that left neither team satisfied, with particular criticism aimed at attacking impotence and tactical inconsistency. Arsenal Fans Rage Over Gabriel's Controversial Escape
Emerging
Over 791 posts emerged from the Manchester City versus Arsenal stalemate with supporters absolutely fuming that Gabriel Magalhães wasn't sent off for what they viewed as a red card offence, with many convinced the Brazilian defender escaped punishment he would've received had he been scrutinised more closely by VAR and the match official.
Referee Decisions Dominate City-Arsenal Stalemate Debate
Fans from both sides are furious with the officiating in the goalless draw, with Arsenal supporters particularly aggrieved that inconsistent refereeing decisions—especially around corner kicks and fouls—have cost them points in the title race. Manchester City fans counter that the referee has historically favoured Arsenal, creating a toxic dynamic where both sets of supporters blame the official rather than analysing the actual tactical battle on the pitch.

Arsenal's Dropped Points Fuel Neutral Scepticism
Emerging

The discussion centres on Arsenal's tendency to fall short when it matters, rather than engaging meaningfully with the tactical or performance aspects of the match itself.
Manchester City and Arsenal Fans React to Goalless Stalemate
Emerging
With 115 posts dominated entirely by reaction GIFs rather than substantive commentary, supporters from both sides are expressing their frustration and bewilderment at a 0-0 draw that leaves the title race locked in tension. Arsenal's Lucky Arsenal Draws Amid Controversial Refereeing Claims
Emerging Controversial
Manchester City and neutral fans are locked in a heated debate over whether Arsenal have benefited from fortunate refereeing decisions and injury luck throughout the season, with several claiming Gabriel should have been sent off in this stalemate. The discussion reflects growing frustration that Arsenal's title credentials are being artificially inflated by what critics perceive as inconsistent officiating rather than pure footballing merit.
Arsenal Fans Fear Mosquera's Yellow vs Doku Threat
Arsenal supporters are anxiously debating whether defender Cristhian Mosquera can survive the second half on a yellow card whilst being repeatedly targeted by Manchester City's dangerous winger Mouciao Doku, with many convinced the booking leaves Arsenal vulnerable to either a red card or relentless attacking punishment down that flank.

Arsenal supporters are venting intense frustration at Mikel Arteta's midfielder Zubimendi following the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City, with multiple posts claiming he stifles their attacking play and lacks the creative drive the team desperately needs. City and Arsenal Fans Divided Over Controversial Ref Calls
Emerging

The negativity centres on inconsistent refereeing standards and the broader complaint that referees are encouraging diving by only punishing contact when bodies hit the turf.
Arsenal Fans Blame Pre-Match Interviews for Title Loss
Emerging
Arsenal supporters are expressing frustration that excessive pre-match media appearances by Mikel Arteta and players are jinxing the team's performances, with fans arguing that Sky Sports' heavy coverage of Arsenal interviews compared to Manchester City is piling unnecessary pressure on the side ahead of crucial matches. The discussion reflects a superstitious anxiety that Arteta's willingness to do repeated interviews directly correlates with Arsenal's defeats, turning post-match analysis into a blame game about preparation and distraction rather than on-pitch execution.
Arsenal Fans Debate Dowman Substitution Timing Call

Arsenal and City Fans Clash Over Defensive Football Tactics
Emerging Controversial

"Kind of crazy how Arsenal managed to make all neutrals root for City, pretty telling tbh"
What? Everyone in the prem loves City lol There's only ever one winner but there's 19 losers The only team ever cheering against city are the team up against them. Everyone knows they're just oil money and cheating so everyone is fine for them to win because it literally doesn't matter to them. Most people don't even know a city fan. But they all know fans of other big clubs
Hateable players, hateable fans, hateable manager. What do you expect
People don’t hate City as much as they lead on tbf
People are sheep and want upvotes so all they talk about is "bottling". Reddit likes to think it's better, but it's just like all other social media. A little popularity contest for the dumb dumbs
I only want City to win the league because I think Pep will want to leave on a high, so he will hopefully fuck off they manage to do it.
Brother every neutral goes with city cause they know their trophies mean fuck all
I fucking hate oil teams but was rooting for City because the Arsenal choke is just too funny
Every year people complain about City and every year neutrals root for them to win because they hate Arsenal/Liverpool more.
Objectively false. Everyone and their mother supported them against Liverpool too, simply because City winning does absolutely nothing to anybody. They're closing in the all time premier league record and I guarantee not one person in United's fanbase gives a fuck even though they are city rivals.
Yup, couldn't care less who wins the prem as long as it's not arsenal

"The difference between having clinical forwards."
We have clinical forwards. You cannot tell m Gyok is not a clinical forward. The REAL difference is between having technical midfielders that create those chances for the forwards. We are severely lacking in that department.
I miss when Leo was clinical, dude made me so much start of this year with Goal/Assist bets, and years prior. I will say the difference today wasn’t finishers City put plenty wide, we had 2 cleared off the line and Eze’s bounce out the goal. On a wider scale yes, and I hope that’s fixed properly this summer. Also obligatory fuck B.Silva glad the little prick is leaving in the summer. +
Our topscorer was on the bench for the whole game….. ![gif](giphy|x5312jISv6bhsk1FKw)
This was quite literally a great decision by Arteta all things considered. For his size he is a terrible hold up striker and doesn't win long balls. Also is not good in the air, which is what we were looking for on numerous occasions today
Great decision to hold our your topscorers that’s bagged a hat trick against the same team that you’re trying to beat.. That reply shows a lot of copium right there. He’s a pure finisher, something that Havertz couldn’t do or else he’d been our topscorer right now……… +
You’re missing the part where he played full game against Bournemouth and did nothing aside from slotting in a pen. Scuffed a bunch of passes and shots. And his game against city in the carabao final was even worse
And you’re missing the part where Havertz bottled it for us in multiple seasons and in the final as well this season…….
Havertz has had big moments at this level over the years, and he’s a much better “team” player. If he’s not scoring you still notice him in the game. Gyokeres is absolutely nothing without the goals, and has no pedigree beyond the Portuguese league lol. Maybe he should’ve come in earlier, but starting him was not the play today +
Today’s shows a clinical finisher was more needed than a team player.., But hey our midfield and wingers lacked that quality by the way we’ve been playing negatively all season……
gyokeres never gets to this ball or any chances against big team, we plas gyokeres today he has zero shots and no impact whatsoever, rather play Kai who actually does something instead
"I don't even think we played badly "
Sorry we did not play well today, even in the end trying to equalize, it’s such a struggle to move the ball into a dangerous position.  Watched football for 40 years that’s never a sign a team played well.   The whole game it was City that had the initiative and we are just holding on for dear life.  Arteta is a disgrace and pathetic how he thinks we are going to win a title playing like this.
Makes the last few games look even worse then doesn't it? We're clearly capable of playing like this, we just dont
And despite all the pain the past month…. it’s still not over. Still in the CL semis, still top of the league. The life of a football fan - either extreme joy or depression in the coming weeks lol +
If we played like today for all those silly dropped points...
That’ll win us the league 👍🏻 +
I don't understand why it wasn't a foul against Hincapié at the end. The last man decision vs Havertz... I don't understand that If Gabriel was called shirt pulling Haaland, then why was he allowed to do it for his goal? Every single 50/50 decision went their way. People moaning about Gabriel and his "headbutt"... yet Haaland was the one that started touching heads, and kicked out at him. We shouldn't have been in this position in the first place. So many wasteful points dropped before this. And even in this game, with the chances we had, we should have won. We didn't play badly.
That's because we have been even worse in recent games. Standards have been completely lost.
It's all down to clinical finishing. Havertz misses two big chances in the 2nd half and we go on to lose the game. It's the really small margins.
The subs are bad, the finishing are bad. Where are your standards
if we play like that every game we've got a good chance +
"We haven't played badly at all. Twice hit the post, Donnaruma double save, this missed chance by Havertz. Idk how we've not come away with a point tbh. Boys played with heart and thats all I ask of an"
Cherki dribbling through our defence was bad. And you're a liar if you say otherwise.
If we'd played like we did today for the last month, this game wouldn't even matter.
You should also ask for trophies
This is a good comment. I whole heartedly agree. It’s fine to lose but don’t lose by playing terribly. I didn’t watch the game but if they played well and lost then we can’t ask for much. If the balls that hit the post had more luck it would be a different conversation. I’m glad that they tried.
This is such a one sided analysis. City also hit the post and gifted a goal.
This! Exactly this. I was pissed and disappointed after Bournemouth. But I’m in love all over again after this game. Please play like this. With fir and purpose every game. Not that shit you pulled at Bournemouth. It’s not over until it is. COYG!!! +
we kept our in-form top striker 80min on the bench, if u are fine with that enjoy more sold games cya next year. +
I feel like I’ve been shot, but this performance has got me feeling optimistic. We could’ve rolled over but we really went for it and could’ve had 3 goals on another day. We’ll win the league. +
bournemouth is were we lost the league
There were moments of progress but the majority of the game was the same old same old. Couldn’t win the second balls. Man City did whatever they wanted. Not to mention they had a chance or two early that we were very lucky to get away with
