How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

Yeah people shitting on Gyokeres are clueless. Did he bring anything? Absolutely not, but with Havertz on the pitch we played exactly the same dreadful football.
I’m actually so reluctant to hate on Gyökeres. The only things he does wrong are (usually) a direct result of his technical ability. He never stops working and we completely refuse to feed him the way we should. It’s almost like we signed him just to make him feel like shit every game.

Watching the match I have to agree with Howe. Woltemade has been invisible. It’s like he’s not even on the pitch I swear!!!!

He was benched because he was completely invisible for several games. Let’s not be disingenuous.
@Ghostedweb3 @healer_24434 @Denny_Jemz @NUFC Wrong country shit for brains. Unlike you dirty freaks I live in the same country as the team i support
@Arsenal Martinelli always making wrong turns, Mr. leader Rice making excessively poor choices, Zubimendi looks like he can't pass with his left foot, Madueke and White real clowns.
If Kai is gone for some time, Arteta really has to find other solution to Gyokeres. Trossard can be pretty nifty as false number 9. Play him because he is at least a good footballer.
Gyokeres getting minutes as starter in these must win games is recipe for disaster.
It’s not like gyokeres has good positioning always too sometimes zubi has much more striker instinct than gyok
Gyok is trying too hard to be in a space where he thinks he will be given in a plate
But that’s not the case at all in prem
The guy at times is in so wrong positions and getting the ball he is not able to control it
Attacking coaching, mentality, our inability to play with a lead, they are huge issues with this team don’t get me wrong.
But if we end up pissing this season away it’s all down to the recruitment in the summer for me. Just one average to good player instead of Gyokeres and Madueke and we’d be clear.
Rice getting in a clear position against the keeper in their box and not even shooting had me almost ripping the TV off the wall. How much better do you want it to get? Just fucking shoot! I swear these guys are doing their best to make every wrong decision. If Havertz and Eze aren't back next week, we're done.
Except Zubimendi shooting from 8 yards out and it getting blocked actually is a good chance.
This forum told me Howe is ruthless with players out of form or not performing their basic duties. Which is why Wolte got dropped and moved to CM and then dropped again. Surely people on the internet couldn’t be wrong??
The commentators are already getting on my nerves....the sheer glee with literally anything we do wrong
◆ Algo-Amplified — Boosted Without Substance
If Gyokeres hadn't fucked up that pass to Saka, that would've been an absolutely brilliant goal started by him too
I actually hate broadcasting companies so much, we've already seen the goal multiple times, show us the replay on why the guy on the floor is on the fucking floor
Someone said Hincapie plays like a dog driving your car. He’s driving it perfectly, but he’s still a dog.
What a mad cunt he is. Absolutely love him.
Personally, I think Big Nick has showed this year that he's a player worth re-building around.
If Eddie can't be the man to do that, it might be the easiest argument for his departure.
We need to blow up this team n start again to a degree. Many of our best players do not fit the mould of the NUFC of 2 years ago, we need a new manager.
Avoided a clear penalty in the away game. Avoided a clear red now. Both against Gyokeres. Does the PGMOL hold a grudge against our striker?
“Referee saw nothing wrong” ah yes the genius who didn’t give a red when Gyokeres had an open net
What has actually happened. Why can’t they play football anymore. Is it purely mental?
Fuck sake what is wrong with our players? The only striker we’ve got that can actually link up play and he’s managed about 3 games this season.
Straight down the tunnel and he looked pretty upset.
I dont actually think that was a bad performance from us, some promising signs (and some slightly worrying ones).
We are playing away against one of the best teams in England.
For me the real sign of whether we Howe has made any change to how we play is how much we capitulate in the second half.
If nothing has changed (which i suspect is the …
You are actually upset the manager is celebrating a must win game? Why do you look for reasons to make yourself miserable?
◆ Broke Through — Quality That Beat the Algorithm
I know we say it every week but Neville is actually getting worse and worse to listen to. All he did was whinge all game and say we did this, did that wrong and how excellent Newcastle are. Match finishes and it’s 1-0.
Woltemade is the perfect false 9. Almost like a right footed Kai Havertz. Wins all his duels, can nicely link up play. Not playing him is fireable offense.
Giroud was actually a really good passer. I know his job was a striker, but in Gyok's place, he would have put that on a plate for those 2 runners
Nah, Martinelli's crossing isn't great but don't put him with those 2, in fact I'm sure Martinelli could pull off an accurate trivela from this position or just run forward himself (which tbh is more likely 😂). Martinelli makes this pass a minimum of 6 out of 10 times if he attem…
Eventually y'all have to ask yourselves what good does to have a squad full of players that are unable to string decent attacks without the technical, false 9-styled striker you think we need.
Even if we accept that Gyökeres is the worst striker to ever wear the shirt (he's not)…

Captivating Quotes
Straight From the Fans
The best fan quotes from this match — the funny, the sharp, the viral. These are ready to use in your video, in subtitles, or as thumbnails.
"Victor Osimhen Aggressive, explosive, strong in transitions Proven goal scorer in Italy and Europe Gives Arsenal directness when games become tight 3. Alexander Isak (Newcastle United) Elegant but lethal finisher Comfortable dropping deep and combining (fits Arsenal’s style) One of the most “Arsenal-compatible” elite strikers 4. Lautaro Martínez Clinical, intelligent movement, big-game mentality Captain-type striker energy Less physically dominant than Haaland, but very efficient 5. Benjamin Šeško Young, tall, improving fast High ceiling “project striker” Could become elite if developed properly
Even more than names, Arsenal’s problem in big games is:
Lack of elite penalty-box killer
Too many “nearly” chances, not enough ruthless finishing
Need a striker who scores when the team is under pressure
That’s why the striker decision in 2026 is the biggest transfer Arsenal will make."
"Where is that wonderful Adebayor goal against Newcastle. 😊"
"@A@ArsAM1705🤣🤣 yeah those two were wonderful ambassadors for the club, one scored goals and caused issues within the club and the other never lived up to his price tag. If we had a prime Giroud know the title would be wrapped up the other two? Nah we’d be top four at best but getting some epic tok toks."
"Isnt giruod the onky reason ozil doesnt have the assist record?"
"@Thierry-p6h giroud was the main reason arsenal bottled league titles didn't scored for half a season and missed easy chances created by Ozil"
"@Thierry-p6h He didn't get us over the line with Ozil gifting him high quality clear cut chances, girouds goal drought costed us before so no guarantee he would have got us over the line this season."
"@sicksigma4591 I’ve supported Arsenal for 19 years… I didn’t even get to see Arsenal win their last premier league. I’ve seen them in their highs and lows. All they have won are some mediocre trophies like the fa cup."
"Absolute stunning goal!!🎉❤"
"Hincapie and Big Gabi's mentality is all Arsenal players need to win the trophy"
"What a pile of old sh*t that was. Disgraceful performance. Arteta is getting like Trump with his BS before matches.
Anyone noticed that Eze can only make a difference when he isn't given time to shoot. His best goals are first time touches"

"Not interested in bashing the guy but this would’ve been big for GD "
no to bashing but Kai not missing sitters vs City would be massive
If we had gone and drawn the game I’d be looking back at this moment.
0 excuses, I could play that fucking pass.
And I thought Gyokeres actually had a decent game today
I knew Gyokeres wasn’t making this pass the moment I saw it was on.
↳
Lmao. Knew it for along time. He doesn't have the ability and yet some fans think he is goated making compilations smh
↳
I remember giroud on fast breaks. Was the same, but of course different animal in the box or near it
How would a single goal be big. It's one goal. If they score.
↳
Never heard of goal difference?
↳
Yes. But it's one goal. It's no bigger for goal difference than any other goal we score.
↳
Do you read the things you type before you send them, or do you just press send and hope?
↳
Just cos you can't math bro

Nah this is all the same shit, they both can’t play with their weaker foot. Take a closer look. Odegaard is worse since he’s the damn playmaker.
I'm already having a bad day and this made me yell and turn off the stream lol
Kai misses were the best in the most important match buy hey i saw no pictures from that "fans"
This was pretty bad. I’m desperate for Gyokeres to do well but he ain’t helping me out!
At least he tried to make the pass. And Saka has missed the pass to Gyokeres in that same scenario many times this season.
Both can be true. Odegaard should want to get Gyokeres in a shooting position for his strengths
Yeah, that was bad and also a little unlucky, but normally these passes goes through. Nerves!
I couldn't blame him. We know him, we've seen what he was doing since he came in. But that Odegaard pass, my friend, made no logical sense for a playmaking midfielder that suppose to lead our team.
KSI or Speed could probably make this pass. Gyokeres has bottom tier finesse.
you know what after this it is very understandable noone trust this fucker enough to pass the ball either
"I remember 10 years ago when we all hated Giroud. We had no idea how much worse it could get."
"I remember 10 years ago when we all hated Giroud. We had no idea how much worse it could get."
with Kai yes guy be missing sitters for years scoring 34 total goals...Gyokeres scored half of that this half season pathetic so called fans on this sub srsly.
Ironically we are well and clear in first place with giroud in this squad.
Giroud's hold up and aerial ability would fit like a glove in this team. We probably have the league wrapped up by now if we have him
↳
The same Giroud that did fuck all in important moments plenty of times in many seasons. The revisionism with him is crazy. Our Giroud's was never France's Giroud. Gyokeres hasn't been great but Giroud was no better. Giroud got a lot more service from elite midfielders like Özil, Cazorla and Ramsey too, not Odegaard who basically can't weigh a pass 50% of the time.
↳
Except he would do what havertz did when fit and get the ball on the 6m with the whole goal to shoot at and ping it off the post.
↳
Like we wrapped it against Leicester 10 years ago?
↳
Just clueless
If Gyokeres had the technical ability of Giroud, then you have one of the best strikers ever.
Giroud’s passing was elite though.
↳
His first touch was money as well
"This is a GD race btw"
"This is a GD race btw"
Somewhat, like how we’ve been playing lately let’s secure 3 points today. We can’t worry about City dropping points or goal difference. Espcecially this group has never won, the manager has never come first in a league, I am critical of Arteta but we can’t shit on him or the squad if they win each of the remaining PL fixtures.
It is but out of all the games we had left this game was not the one you expect to score 2+ goals in. Newcastle are very much our boogyman team. We did the double on them this year. I am taking that silver lining. Newcastle is a team over the last 5 years that have continually gotten points off us. The next 4 games are where you want to pump away as many goals as possible
↳
Leave it to Arsenal fans finding an excuse for a team that has lost 8 in 11.
↳
we looked exactly like that for the last 10 games. what are you talking about ? its not them, its us. they have not been in form for a while, have little to play for, and have lots of injuries. Our problem is us. this system is bad in that it just does not allow us to flow. its a stuck system leading us to lose possession, fumble forward moves and end games on a panic. this is us not them. thinking otherwise is silly.
↳
Weren’t great and were wasteful at times but nothing is more important than getting the win and building on it. I agree with the guy above. Next 4 games focus on scoring multiple goals
↳
right, next game we bring the fire. totally.
↳
Dude we did not play like that at all last week against City. That shows the system can change. Today, however was about getting the 3 points. We lost our last two premier games. I don't care how the hell you get them against a team that takes points off you. Everyone was praising city for getting a 1-0 win against fucking Burnley, but getting a 1-0 win playing this way against newcastle isn't good enough? Make it make sense. The next games are about winning and scoring goals. This game was about building momentum again
↳
Who was praising City for their 1-0 win against Burnley???
↳
The media and the post match commentary was praising city for going on a “run” and topping the table. There was zero criticism of city winning 1-0 against a relegation side. Even in the sub all the fans talked about how good it was to officially catch us and that’s all that mattered. We need to take these 3 points on move on. Nothing else matters but the 3 points
↳
nobody was praising City after the Burnly match. if anything people were saying we have an in on the title now, if we can start scoring goals. but instead we look as weak as ever. look at the game stats. we used to win 1-0 but dominate games at least. now it was just luck we are here. against a team with nothing to play, playing away from home for them. This is not normal. this is really strange situation to be in as the team top of the leauge. don't normalize it.
"I pray Saka stays fit for the run in.. Our attack finally looked competent the moment he came on. "
"I pray Saka stays fit for the run in.. Our attack finally looked competent the moment he came on. "
Here before him not playing well and people saying the opposite.
And no Zubi. The ball all of a sudden started to move quickly
Yeah, a fit Saka for the run in will make all the difference. But he and Gyokeres need to be locked in the training ground together and forced to learn how to find each other, I've rarely seen such good players have such poor connection.
Was totally different once he came on
MLS > Zubi at the moment
He made an impact in seconds and was consistently pressing forward in possession. Looks like he found his confidence again, hopefully he can keep it for the CL
He's the only guy who can consistently make space for a shot/pass/cross with his dribbling. He's also our primary corner taker from one side, so our set pieces become threatening again.
↳
Crazy how easy he makes it seem to get that separation
He didn’t even do anything special but his basics are so good he instantly improves the side. Rest him for Atletico 1st leg and play him the full 90 against Fulham
Am I the only one seeing his first play as mistake not playing it for free Rice

The hilarious thing is, even if Ramsey turned into a ghost and the ball went through him, the angle he chose would’ve meant both martinelli and Saka would’ve had to slow down to get it lol. He needed to aim about 5 meters more forward, or pause, let Ramsey and tonali run by, and …

@NUFC People gonna say we played well and dominated. Reality is that Arsenal never needed to get out of 1st gear and the way to always defend against us is to sit back because we can’t create for shit. Funny how when woltemade comes on we had our best chance

If that’s a defender and the keeper is last man it’s a red card, how is it less of a goal scoring opportunity facing a player that can’t use his hands?

Someone said Hincapie plays like a dog driving your car. He’s driving it perfectly, but he’s still a dog.
What a mad cunt he is. Absolutely love him.

Rice pissed me off the most tbh, 30 seconds left in the game and he yeets it out to goal kick instead of running to the corner flag, idiotic decision

1. Make a simple pass for the first runner
2. Make a simple pass for the second runner
3. Continue with the ball since you still have space
4. Put the ball right into the defender
He really went for number 4

Literally. We can score many goals with Saka. And we shouldnt count out city dropping points. Goals matter but so do wins (3 pts)

Yea man just play it into space. Bro!
Imagine this is what you do everyday, you train, you run, you go to the gym and then you can’t play a routine pass?

Don't think it was a great performance, thank God it's over. Should have had a 2nd really, Pope should have been off and hopefully the injuries aren't too bad but Eze is on the pitch at the end which is encouraging.
I'm gonna go against the grain of this sub, other than fucking …
