How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

"The amount of goals we’ve scored this season is fantastic, right up there with 1st in the league The clear thing to focus on next season is not losing the set piece goals with casemiro, and sorting out the team shape and amount of chances we concede. Our goals conceded is similar to Nottingham forest who are relegation candidates, and btw we are lucky not to have conceded more this season, we have a great gk."

Not sure why people are enamored with Nagelsmann. Olé out-coached him in 1st UCL game. Sure he may have developed his coaching more since then, but also has 0 PL experience which United owners list as a requirement to get the job.

Captivating Talking Points
I always used to be worried that he’d fall off a cliff like Rooney in his early 30s due to his high energy playstyle and how he plays every minute. I’m very lucky to hopefully be wrong about that I think if anything, playing deeper with Amorim has matured his play style and hopefully he won’t have the same dropoff

Challenger Casemiro could also break the PL record for headed goals in a season with 3 more. Unlikely, but Casemiro is kinda like Lammens. I wouldn't put anything past him.
Believer I agree. He started strong under Carrick with the City/Arsenal games then dropped down a level in my opinion. He's playing with a lot more intensity again now and today you could see the confidence he had to receive the …
Rooney actually said in a podcast today that it's easier playing more games because you get more rest days, and a lot of coaches work you really hard when you're not playing midweek games to imitate the intensity.

I always used to be worried that he’d fall off a cliff like Rooney in his early 30s due to his high energy playstyle and how he plays every minute. Casemiro's Late-Game Dive Sparks Furious Fan Backlash
Emerging
Manchester United and neutral supporters are divided over whether Casemiro deliberately dived late in the match to earn Brentford a yellow card, with critics calling it shameless cheating whilst others argue diving is rampant across the Premier League and blame inconsistent refereeing rather than player behaviour. Emerging
Supporters are heavily criticising the referee's decision to award five minutes of added time in the second half, arguing it was disproportionate to the actual stoppages and disruptions that occurred during play. United's Clinical Attack Steers Past Brentford's Resistance
Emerging

Fans Criticise Gary Neville's Commentary and Podcast Output

The criticism intensifies around his recent transfer commentary, with fans arguing he should focus on analysing United's actual performance rather than offering unsolicited business opinions.

Emerging

The incident has become a focal point of frustration, particularly among United supporters who believe the decision cost them the match at a crucial moment.

Emerging Controversial
Manchester United supporters are deeply concerned about their lack of form, with zero wins in six matches putting their European qualification hopes in serious jeopardy. "Many people will criticize Amad and miss that tackle he made leading to the second goal."
Exactly
That was Mainoo though. It wasn't Amad.
kobbie here not Amad
@KingAlex84it was Amad bro
@francoiskevin8107that was Amad
@francoiskevin8107look closely bro. It's 100% Amad. I'm sure. Mainoo was on the left behind him
People dont have emotional intelligence. The African cup did not went well toward the end. I think he lost a loved one, he lost amorim who was like a mentor to him. So it's not strange he has a dip in form.
No no no, That miss was diabolical, just imagine they equalized, you would be talking about it for sure
Sell amad
@Ndutz123you crazy
"I dunno lads, these performances continue to leave me far from impressed..."
Which team in the premier league is giving you consistent performances? We're a long way from the Pep/Klopp era.
Squad is dreadfully thin. We really need a few more players to freshen things up and that'll get addressed. We're getting what needs to be done now, done.
Have you watched enough Arsenal game this season? The league leader have barely been impressive this season. We were 15th last season and about to finish 3rd this season. Not sure how you can't be impressed by that.
that's exactly why they're bottling though, everyone knows string of good results will end when you simply don't play well every single week
He said he was not impressed by PERFORMANCE. Results under Carrick are excellent, much better than performances.
Arent Arsenal being criticised to seven hells though for Haramball,, plus they have a better defense than us, they can somewhat afford to play passive. If the ref had given 8 minutes of extra time we might have drew.
If they win the league, nobody is going to care about the criticism and the way they play. All I am saying is win is the most important thing. Ever more so after the season we had last year. Let's get wins, finish 3rd (something nobody in this planet expected) and then take it from there. +
Whilst I agree I’ve been watching city and arsenal and their football isn’t much better. The reality is the standard of the teams outside ‘the big six’ has drastically improved, the teams we are playing are genuinely playing good football
Ok so why can’t we play good football too then
Almost like it’s the same group of players
"https://preview.redd.it/60xstvt0vsxg1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1362676d859732a54befb5726b1fc0fbfa519d97 I posted this in the wrong thread, my apologies. Can anyone enlighten me why we "
Because he is able to extract the most from his squad of players, showing their strengths whilst hiding their weaknesses, this is first and formost the job of a football manager. People expect us to maintain our title winning results (top of the league since Carrick arrives) with dominating performances. This is despite the fact the most people beforehand would said this squad would do well to get Europa leagues, some even saying top 10. This is in the context of a current PL where the best teams, Arsenal and City don't even dominate their opponents week to week like City and Liverpool used to do in the 2018-2023 era. Alongside this, the list of alternatives is uninspiring. The current elite crop of managers (Pep, Klopp, Enrique, Flick, Ancelotti) are not attainable, leading to managers like Iraola. Is getting Bournemouth 7-10th significantly more impressive then Carrick taking this united team to comfortable UCL qualification and likely 3rd? +
Player for player with most clubs in the league you’d argue our crop of players are better.. Casemiro 5 times CL winner, Bruno top 3 PL player since he arrived, Mbuemo 20 PL goals last season, Cunha was one of the most consistent players last year. We should at least play somewhat good football, it’s embarrassing. Teams below us are well better drilled, when was the last time you actually think we played a good game? Man City? +
Were you saying this at the start of the season? Casemiro is amazing in both boxes, but lacks quite a bit in between and clearly past his best. Our FBs have virtually no attacking threat. Our best forward players occupy the same spaces and provide no balance. Our striker is very promising but raw. Our RW are both in poor form. Our other central midfield is fantastic but just turned 21. Our best CBs are perennially injured/suspended. We have no depth in the squad. We played well against Bournemouth and essentially had a 3 goal swing due to incompetent refs. We played well against Villa, Everton and the draw against West Ham. Do you watch other teams play? other than maybe City in the last few weeks, no team dominates like we did against City, the premier league is full of good teams that will have large periods of games in their favour.
I’m don’t know, maybe because since Carrick joined no other PL team has more points than us, 29 out of 39 points it’s pretty damn good.. also 2 back to back wins +
I don’t think we’ve played one great game of football since he come.. Results are blinding your vision. It’s not sustainable.
Surely results are the most important thing? It's not like we're playing Artetaball.
It’s not sustainable mate, haven’t we learnt from Ole? Ole did better by the way, I’d argue that the teams he was against were better also.
Not everything follows the exact same way in history. Also why are we acting like ole was a failure anyway?
Ole was a failure. I don’t think it’s solely all his fault tho..
Maybe for one, the fact that he’s gotten us to most likely finish in 3rd place after a truly horrendous season? His win ratio is insane. I know new manager bounce blah blah. I don’t even necessarily think he should be the manager but for you act like there’s no conceivable reason someone could have for wanting him to be manager is silly +
"People will mock and downvote but as a rival, I'd be quite happy if Carrick kept the job. I've watched a lot of their games and bar the City game at Old Trafford, I've not been overly impressed with t"
>I think with CL football and cups next year and the loss of Casemiro scoring headers, they could and probably will struggle This is indeed a legit concern
We'd also be very happy if Slot kept his job too, and maybe also signed a 5 year extension :) +
i mean, barring Klopp coming out of retirement or Xabi Alonso declaring Liverpool his #1 dream spot right now... Slot's not going anywhere
think quite a few united fans feel similarly
We are playing with same set of players who were playing a certain system few months ago. We have non mobile midfield . I also don’t like the signs but we have to accept that carrick did best with what he had . Would want a better manager but with be ok or will understand if we went with carrick
Agreed
I'd be quite pissed off if he didn't keep it. I wanted to keep him on after his 1st caretaker run, and it does make you wonder what could've been, considering how well things seem to be going now.
We have been second best in almost all games under carrick. Would be a terrible choice
And yet since he's started, we've won more points than any other team. +
That could mean he overachieved. We did the same with Ole.
"What a signing Lammens has been"
Been your player of the season.. without him you lot are mid table .
@rmstersmileshud up
@r@rmstersmilewhere are you lot now, mid table league 1??? 😂😂😂😂

@Userrrrrr123-q2p keep crying in the comments pal
@rmstersmilebut he plays for us. 😂😂 so this means nothing. Everyone has a role. Our keeper is just better than most. Just like De Gea. VDS. Schmeichael. You know? +
@Junier-HusseinBruno defo but if it was onana in goal we’d not be top 4
