Man City Fans Divided Over Team Selection and Mentality
Manchester City supporters are sparking debate around tactical decisions and player performance, with particular frustration aimed at how the team performs against stronger opposition and concerns about squad mentality. The discussion reveals mixed sentiment—some fans are defensive of the club whilst others question whether recent changes can address deeper issues in consistency against big matches.
City's Defence Collapses Despite Valiant Ten-Man Effort
Manchester City fans are debating a heavy defeat where a red card to Bernardo Silva after 25 minutes left them fighting an uphill battle, with supporters divided between praising the team's effort with reduced numbers and criticising persistent defensive vulnerabilities and a lack of midfield protection that's plagued them all season. The consensus is frustration rather than anger—acknowledgement that eleven men might have competed better, but underlying concern that structural problems in the squad remain unsolved regardless of circumstances.
· Controversial
Pep's Future in Question After Tactical Failures
Manchester City fans are furious with Pep Guardiola's management decisions in a recent defeat, with many calling for him to leave in the summer—arguing that his ego and tired tactical approach have cost them silverware and that a fresh start could revitalise the club's challenge. The discussion centres on whether his contract situation and recent losses to rivals, particularly Real Madrid and potentially Arsenal, make this the right moment for both parties to part ways.
Manchester City Fans React with Mixed Reactions
Manchester City supporters are flooding social media with a flurry of largely positive but cryptic responses to a recent performance or result, mixing applause with confusion and laughter. The overwhelmingly emoji-based conversation suggests fans are reacting to something that's left them simultaneously impressed, bewildered, and entertained — though the actual specifics of what sparked this wave of engagement remain buried beneath layers of digital reaction.
City Fans Divided Over Cherki's Future and Selection
Manchester City supporters are locked in debate over whether young talent Cherki is being criminally underutilised on the bench, with some arguing he's one of the team's best performers whilst others question his defensive fitness and consistency. The wider frustration centres on perceived tactical choices and squad management, with fans concerned about the manager's selection decisions and what they believe is wasting a promising player's potential.
· Controversial
Manchester City Performance Sparks Mixed Fan Reactions
Fans are offering a scattered mix of praise and criticism toward Manchester City's recent display, with some celebrating the performance whilst others criticise missed opportunities and overall execution. The largely neutral sentiment suggests the match failed to decisively impress supporters either way—enough quality moments to acknowledge, but enough shortcomings to leave people wanting more.
City fans furious after Madrid knockout exit
Manchester City supporters are venting bitter frustration over Real Madrid's fourth consecutive Champions League knockout victory over them, with many convinced Madrid possess some mystical advantage. Beyond the result itself, fans are equally frustrated by the repetitive nature of the fixture, arguing the constant rematches feel artificially manufactured and have robbed the rivalry of any genuine meaning.
Vini's Controversial Goal and Officiating Questions
Fans are divided over whether Vini's goal was genuinely onside, with several questioning why VAR didn't conduct a thorough review despite the tight marginal positioning. The discussion reflects broader frustration with the refereeing display and Vini's overall conduct during the match, though some confirm he was marginally onside upon review.
Manchester City Fans Question Tactical Selections
Manchester City supporters are expressing frustration and bewilderment at the team's player selections and tactical approach, particularly questioning why key players like Nunes and Haaland aren't being utilised effectively. The discussion reflects a broader sense of resignation—fans acknowledge the squad's quality but suggest the current system is wasting their potential, with comments oscillating between exasperation and dark humour about the situation.
Fans Rally Behind Cup Competition After UCL Exit
Supporters are channelling disappointment from missing Champions League football into fierce determination for Sunday's cup clash against Arsenal, with the squad urged to play with genuine anger and intensity as they pursue domestic silverware. The mood is defiant rather than despondent—fans recognise the season isn't over and are backing their team to deliver a result when it matters most.
Man City Supporters Clash Over Controversial Penalty Decision
Fans are divided over a penalty decision against Manchester City, with some claiming the officials made an incorrect call whilst others criticise City's defensive lapses and individual player performances. The discussion reveals frustration with both the refereeing and the team's inability to handle pressure moments, particularly highlighting Bernardo Silva's defensive vulnerabilities.
Man City Fans React To Controversial Refereeing Calls
Manchester City supporters are expressing frustration and cynicism about refereeing decisions, with the overwhelming consensus being that nothing will change regardless of complaints or scrutiny. The discussion is largely composed of dismissive reactions and mockery, suggesting fans feel powerless against what they perceive as systemic bias in officiating.
City Fans Rally With Mixed Confidence and Cynicism
Manchester City supporters are throwing encouragement at their team with rallying cries, though the discussion reveals underlying frustration — some fans are genuinely backing the side whilst others express weary scepticism about the club's current trajectory. It's classic fan behaviour during a rough patch: vocal support masking deeper doubts about whether City can turn things around.
City Fans Rally Behind Team Before Match
Manchester City supporters are building pre-match momentum across social media, with dozens of posts encouraging the team to perform well and make their mark in the fixture. The conversation is predominantly energetic and supportive, though notably light on tactical analysis or substantive debate about the upcoming match.
Manchester City Fans Face Relentless Mocking Online
Fans are taking aim at Manchester City supporters over what they perceive as excessive complaining or dramatic reactions, with rival supporters repeatedly telling them to "cry" as a form of mockery. The discussion centres on perceived grievances from City fans, with detractors dismissing their concerns as overwrought and unwarranted.
Manchester City Fans React to Team Selection
Fans are expressing mixed, largely bewildered reactions to Manchester City's lineup choices—particularly questioning decisions around players like Ake and Haaland—across multiple languages and platforms, though the overall sentiment remains neutral rather than outright hostile. The posts suggest confusion and frustration with tactical or personnel decisions rather than organised criticism or praise.
Manchester City Fans Erupt Over Defensive Collapse
Manchester City supporters are absolutely furious following a disastrous defensive display, with fans venting their frustration at what they're calling inexcusable football over the last 20 months. The criticism spans poor defending, questionable tactical decisions, and a broader sense that the club has lost its way and stopped delivering for its fanbase.
Red Card Controversy Divides Fans On Fairness
Fans are locked in debate over a straight red card issued early in the match, with most arguing the punishment was too harsh despite accepting the penalty was justified—citing the player's apparent attempt to keep his hands behind his back and the overall impact on the game's flow. A smaller faction defends the referee's decision as correct under the laws, pointing out it was a deliberate handball on the goal line that denied a clear scoring opportunity.
Real Madrid Fans Troll Man City After Match
Real Madrid supporters are flooding Man City's social media with "Hala Madrid" chants and taking shots at the club's players and recent decisions, particularly criticising Rodri's Ballon d'Or win over Vinícius Júnior and suggesting City players should leave for Madrid. The discourse is largely banter-driven with fans expressing frustration at City's performance whilst simultaneously promoting their own club.
Bernardo Silva's Red Card Kills City's Comeback Hopes
Manchester City fans are divided over whether Bernardo Silva's red card for handball was a genuinely instinctive reaction or a reckless decision that cost them any chance of a European comeback. The debate reveals frustration that elite players seem to make split-second body movements in desperation without weighing the catastrophic consequence of a straight red versus simply conceding a goal.
Man City's Failed Comeback Sparks Mixed Fan Reaction
Fans are mocking Manchester City's failed attempt at a remontada (comeback) after elimination from a competition, with posts ranging from sarcastic encouragement to outright ridicule of the club's collapse. The discussion reflects frustration with the team's inability to pull off the dramatic turnaround that was being discussed beforehand.
Manchester City Fans Criticise Rodri Overuse and Pep's Tactics
City supporters are frustrated that Pep Guardiola continues to deploy Rodri as a lone defensive midfielder without adequate support, particularly concerning given his recent ACL recovery, and are baffled why he hasn't experimented with alternative midfield combinations that could better balance the team's play. The discourse centres on questionable squad planning and tactical inflexibility, with fans arguing the manager has the players to execute more balanced formations but inexplicably avoids doing so.
Man City Goal Drama - Haaland Under Scrutiny
Fans are discussing a Man City goal, with particular focus on Erling Haaland's performance and involvement in the match, whilst simultaneously criticising his overall contribution despite scoring. The discussion reveals frustration mixed with resignation about whether individual goals are enough to carry the team's ambitions forward.
Manchester City Referee Calls Spark Fan Mockery
Fans are reacting with heavy sarcasm and dark humour to controversial referee decisions involving Manchester City, with the overwhelming tone suggesting they believe City received unfavourable officiating. The largely emoji-driven discussion indicates frustration masked by joking, with rival supporters particularly enjoying what they perceive as justice being served against the champions.
Manchester City Fans React With Mixed Amusement
Manchester City supporters are reacting to something involving the club with a blend of laughter, excitement, and confusion, though the exact trigger remains unclear from the emoji-heavy responses. The conversation appears lighthearted overall, with fans using humour to engage rather than express serious concern or criticism.
Manchester City Fans Rally Through Difficult Period
Manchester City supporters are divided between frustrated fairweather fans demanding the club "dominate again" and loyal devotees insisting they'll stick with the team through the current struggle, with the latter group framing this as a temporary "rebuild" before "the return" to their winning ways. The conversation reveals classic fan tension: those questioning whether to keep watching versus those passionately declaring that only true supporters deserve celebration when success inevitably returns.
Man City Fans Declare Season Over After Ref Call
Manchester City supporters are venting their frustration over a referee decision that they believe has effectively ended their chances in a particular match or competition. The fanbase has collectively given up on the result, with repeated declarations that "it's over" suggesting they see the officiating as the decisive factor in their defeat.
Manchester City Fans Mocked Over Defeat
Rival supporters are relentlessly taunting Manchester City fans following a heavy loss, repeatedly telling them to "stop crying" and "keep crying" in a coordinated mockery campaign across social media. The banter centres on City's emotional reaction to the result, particularly referencing opponent celebrations that have wound up their fanbase.
Pep's Team Selection Sparks Bernardo Silva Backlash
Manchester City fans are furious with Pep Guardiola's perceived favouritism towards Bernardo Silva, arguing his continued selection despite poor performances is damaging results and signalling the manager has lost his way tactically. The discourse splits between those blaming Pep's stubbornness entirely and those defending Bernardo as a world-class player having a bad season, but the overarching frustration is that both manager and player have become liabilities rather than solutions.
Manchester City Fans Praise Champions, Miss De Bruyne
City supporters are expressing cautious optimism about their side's recent performance and strong start to the season, though several fans are highlighting the crucial absence of Kevin De Bruyne and questioning the squad's ability to maintain momentum without their talismanic midfielder. The discourse reveals a fanbase that recognises City's quality but remains acutely aware of how dependent they are on their star players staying fit and available.
Haaland's Form Sparks Divided Fan Debate
Manchester City fans are locked in a fractured conversation about Erling Haaland's current performances, with some suggesting the striker is in decline and others offering lighthearted support. The discussion sits dead neutral — it's banter meets genuine concern, with no clear consensus emerging from the forty posts analysing whether City's number nine needs time, a tactical tweak, or something more serious.
Haaland's Frustration Boils Over After Costly Substitution
Fans are debating Pep's decision to substitute Haaland off during a match where the team went down to ten men, with many arguing that removing their main striker killed their attacking momentum and momentum right when they needed his presence in the box. The broader conversation suggests Haaland's confidence has been affected by months of poor service and a possession-heavy system that doesn't play to his strengths as a finisher.
Man City Fans React to Tactical Substitutions
Fans are discussing Manchester City's double substitution during a match, with reactions ranging from cautiously optimistic to pessimistic about whether the changes will turn the game around. The neutral sentiment suggests a mixed fanbase response—some backing the manager's decision whilst others remain unconvinced it'll make the difference.
Fans Say Goodbye to Man City, Promise Return
Manchester City supporters and rival fans are bidding farewell to the club after a disappointing result or elimination, with many sarcastically or seriously pledging to "see them next year" for revenge. The discussion mixes genuine goodbyes with frustrated criticism of team selection and management decisions, particularly around player substitutions.
Man City Fans Turn on Guardiola After Real Madrid Defeat
Furious City supporters are calling for Pep Guardiola's departure following a loss to Real Madrid, with many arguing the manager has lost his edge and the squad has stagnated. The discussion centers on accusations of weak performance, tactical failure, and the broader narrative that Guardiola's cycle at the club has run its course.
Manchester City Fans Losing Patience Mid-Season
City supporters are expressing deep frustration with their team's performance this season, describing it as their worst in memory and questioning the squad's ability to compete for trophies. Fans are furious that a goal involving Van Dijk was ruled out for what they believe was a clear-cut error, with particular rage directed at VAR for failing to overturn an obviously wrong on-field decision. The overwhelming consensus is that the officiating was indefensible and that the goal should have stood, with several supporters questioning whether VAR was even paying attention or simply deferring to the referee's initial call.
Controversial Star Silences Critics With Stunning Strike
Fans are buzzing about a player scoring a brilliant goal — reminiscent of prime Messi finishes — that's momentarily quieting doubts about his earlier misses in the match. The consensus is mixed admiration tinged with scepticism: one worldie doesn't erase a patchy performance, but it's undeniably impressive when it lands.
Liverpool Furious Over Controversial UCL Refereeing Decisions
Fans celebrated Mohamed Salah's milestone 50th Champions League goal, but the mood soured as they raged against the referee for allegedly disallowing legitimate Liverpool goals and missing clear fouls. The anger was so intense that some supporters joked even controversial Premier League officials would be preferable to the standard of officiating on display.
Are We Actually Back? Fans Remain Cautiously Hopeful
Supporters are tentatively discussing whether their team might finally be turning a corner after recent performances, though cynicism and scepticism run deep through the conversation. The tone is one of desperate hope mixed with learned pessimism — fans want to believe, but past disappointments have left them too scarred to commit fully.
Crowd Noise, Atmosphere and Fan Behaviour Debate
Fans are discussing the quality of matchday atmosphere, with some criticising commentators' dramatic reactions to goals and others debating whether away supporters create a proper atmosphere versus resorting to whistling and disruptive behaviour. The conversation hints at potential stadium bans and contrasts genuine passion with what some perceive as performative or antagonistic crowd conduct.
Diving Drama — Fans Call Out Theatrical Cheating
Fans are tearing into one team's persistent diving and simulation, arguing that their exaggerated falls and flopping have become so theatrical that they're actually failing to win fouls and putting themselves at a disadvantage. The negativity centres on the sheer audacity of the behaviour — particularly the accusation that players are going down before contact even happens.
Fans Agreeing On A Shared Understanding
A group of supporters are collectively confirming something they already suspected or knew about — whether it's a player's ability, a tactical approach, or some other football matter — with widespread agreement across 107 posts. There's no real debate here; it's just fans nodding along to a consensus view that's been validated.
Confusion Over Substitution Rules and Match Duration
Fans are debating the mechanics of substitution windows and injury time in football, with one user clarifying that half-time substitutions don't count against the three official sub allocation windows. The discussion reveals broader confusion about why matches feel shorter than expected and whether the rules around substitutions and game duration need rethinking.
Fans Left Absolutely Stunned By Something
An emerging discussion has fans posting raw, unfiltered reactions to what appears to be a dramatic moment in a match — whether that's a shocking goal, a controversial decision, or a defensive catastrophe, we're not entirely sure, but the intensity is unmistakable. The overwhelmingly neutral sentiment suggests this isn't straightforward celebration or anger; it's pure, mouth-agape disbelief rippling through the fanbase.
Confidence Crisis Surrounds Player's Performance
Fans are divided over a player's recent attempt—likely a penalty or set piece—with debate centring on whether his inconsistent execution reflects a genuine loss of confidence or simply poor technique on the night. The discussion reveals frustration with both the player's psychology and wider team support, with some defending his overall quality whilst others suggest he's lost the decisiveness that once defined his approach.
Liverpool Fans Demand More Goals In First Half
Supporters were frustrated that Liverpool hadn't put the match to bed despite a strong first-half performance, with many calling for additional goals to secure a commanding lead. The fanbase's anxiety centred on worries about aggregate advantage and the threat of extra time, creating a tense atmosphere despite the team's positive start.
The Mysterious Return Nobody Could Quite Find
Fans are fixating on a player's unexpected reappearance or resurgence during the match, with widespread confusion and excitement about whether he's genuinely back to form—some celebrating the moment whilst others express scepticism, creating a chaotic mix of "where has he been?" bewilderment and genuine redemption narrative. The neutral sentiment suggests people are still processing what they've actually witnessed, caught between hope and disbelief.
Mac Allister's Disallowed Goal Sparks Referee Fury
Fans are divided over whether Mac Allister's goal was correctly disallowed, with some arguing VAR made a poor decision whilst others insist he committed a clear foul on the keeper—the overwhelming consensus being that Mac Allister, whether through poor positioning or contact, gifted the officials an easy call to overturn what could've been his bonus.
Fans React to Hilarious Match Moment
A widespread conversation has erupted across social media with fans finding something genuinely funny about a specific moment from the match—likely a comedic incident, awkward play, or memorable quote—with the response being overwhelmingly light-hearted and reaction-based rather than analytical or critical.
Liverpool Fans Clash Over Recent Champions League Form
Liverpool supporters are locked in a heated debate about the club's recent performances, with some dismissing concerns as overblown whilst others are demanding accountability for weak showings in recent matches. The discussion reveals deep frustration simmering beneath the surface, despite official messaging that everything is under control.
Fans React With GIFs, Nothing Else
A discussion thread consisting almost entirely of reaction GIFs with minimal actual text, suggesting fans are expressing emotions about a football moment without articulating specific opinions or analysis. The neutral sentiment score reflects the absence of any clear positive or negative stance, just raw reaction content.
The Never-Ending Offside Nightmare
Fans are fed up with a relentless stream of offside decisions ruining what should've been goals, with the majority of posts expressing frustration at how marginal and frequent these calls have become. The sentiment is one of exasperation rather than anger—they're tired, bemused, and questioning whether the officials are getting these tight calls right, even when VAR seems to be working in slow motion.
Fan Base Turns On Itself Over Toxic Discourse
Supporters are calling out the increasingly hostile and delusional behaviour within their own fanbase, with multiple posters criticising how toxic the community has become when discussing the team. The discussion itself exemplifies the very problem they're complaining about, as fans squabble over who's being more ridiculous rather than actually engaging with the football.
Salah Controversy Sparks Divided Fan Reaction
Liverpool fans are debating a controversial moment involving Mohamed Salah, with some questioning the referee's decision whilst others defend the player's actions. The multilingual responses suggest the incident divided the fanbase, though most engagement centres on frustration with officiating rather than Salah's performance itself.
Salah's Performance Sparks Washed Debate
Fans are divided over whether Mohamed Salah is in decline, with one camp arguing his underlying performance remains poor despite a goal and assist in this match, whilst the other points to his statistical output as proof he's still elite. The disagreement hinges on whether you trust eye-test observations or hard data to measure his true form.
Referee Under Fire For Match Management Call
Fans are furious that a referee allowed an injured or seemingly unfit player to remain on the pitch, with the overwhelming consensus being that the official should have either removed him or forced a substitution. The anger stems from what viewers perceive as either dangerous negligence towards player welfare or, alternatively, a failure to crack down on what some saw as theatrical time-wasting behaviour.
The Reds Deliver Performance That Demands Consistency
Fans are celebrating a brilliant, intentional display from The Reds with genuine passion and relief, describing it as the most entertaining performance in months and demanding the team maintain this level of intensity and urgency for the rest of the season. The positivity is palpable—supporters recognise real quality when they see it and are calling for this to become the standard, not the exception.
Liverpool Celebrate Stunning Goal In Commanding Fashion
Liverpool fans are erupting over a brilliant goal—likely involving Florian Wirtz or Mohamed Salah—with overwhelmingly positive reactions flooding social media. The discussion captures pure elation at a clinical finish, with supporters expressing joy through celebratory language and genuine admiration for the quality of play on display.
Liverpool's European Exit Sparks Mixed Fan Reactions
Liverpool fans are processing their team's Champions League elimination, with discussion spanning disappointment about the result, self-deprecating humour about their European campaign, and scattered banter about rival clubs. The conversation is notably neutral in tone—fans are venting frustration through jokes rather than unleashing pure anger, suggesting a kind of resigned acceptance mixed with gallows humour.
Fans Celebrate Club Legends During Match Tributes
Liverpool supporters were moved by emotional tributes to former players during the match, with particular focus on songs honouring Firmino, Gerrard, and other club icons. The atmosphere captured a blend of nostalgia and celebration, with fans appreciating the connection to the club's storied history.
Referee Decisions Thread Descends Into Chaos
What started as a discussion about refereeing has completely fallen apart into personal insults and talking past each other, with fans mocking one another's intelligence and basic comprehension rather than engaging with any actual football-related point. The thread is essentially dead, with participants acknowledging they've "lost the plot" entirely.
Fans Debate Mystery Number and Context Clues
Fans are engaged in a playful, somewhat cryptic discussion where they're disagreeing about counting something—possibly windows, trophies, or years—with no clear consensus emerging from the thread. The neutral sentiment suggests it's lighthearted banter rather than genuine disagreement, though the original context has been lost to the conversation.
Wirtz and Salah Frustrate Fans With Poor Attacking Play
Fans are heavily criticising Wirtz and Salah for repeatedly breaking down attacking moves and failing to link up effectively with teammates, with particular frustration directed at missed passing opportunities and a lack of conviction in the final third. The negative sentiment centres on how these two players are actively killing promising attacks rather than converting them into chances.
One Team's Lethal Finishing Ruins Dominant Display
Fans are locked in debate over a heavily one-sided match where the scoreline flatters the losing side—one team should be winning by far more goals based on the chances created and the goalkeeper's exceptional performance keeping it closer than it deserves to be. It's a classic case of clinical finishing versus profligacy, with supporters baffled at how the match isn't already five, six, or even seven goals apart.
Liverpool Fans Celebrate Controversial Refereeing Calls
Liverpool supporters are expressing jubilation over what appears to be favourable referee decisions during a recent match, with fans celebrating key moments and player performances in the aftermath. The overwhelmingly positive sentiment suggests the decisions went in Liverpool's favour, sparking enthusiastic reactions across social media despite the broader controversy surrounding match officiating.
Isak's Injury Return and Playing Time Speculation
Newcastle fans are debating whether Isak will be fit enough to make a meaningful impact when he returns from his leg break, with most sceptical he'll be ready for immediate minutes before crucial fixtures like the PSG Champions League tie. The conversation reveals frustration about his injury timing and cost, alongside recognition that having him available—even in a limited capacity—would be valuable squad depth.
Player Performance Collapsing In Real Time
Fans are witnessing a genuinely shocking display from a key player, with the overwhelmingly negative reaction suggesting a performance so poor it's almost defied belief across the fanbase. The brevity and bewilderment of responses indicates this wasn't just a bad day at the office—it was something that caught everyone completely off guard.
Ekitike Steals The Show In Liverpool Win
Liverpool fans are collectively losing their minds over Hugo Ekitike's performance, with supporters repeatedly celebrating his name and individual brilliance across social media. The discussion is light-hearted and celebratory, capturing the moment a standout player carried his side to victory with his quality on the pitch.
Fans In Stitches Over Mystery Player Photo
Fans are sharing an unidentified photo of a player that's gone viral for being absolutely hilarious, with the discussion dominated entirely by people laughing and reacting to whatever's captured in the image. Nobody's actually explaining what the picture shows — they're just collectively losing it, which has somehow become the entire conversation.
Fans Celebrate Controversial Match Moment
A controversial incident or decision during the match has divided opinion, with some supporters absolutely buzzing about the outcome whilst others are clearly frustrated by what unfolded on the pitch. The posts reveal a fanbase split between those revelling in the moment and those questioning whether it should've happened at all.
Fans Torn Between Glimpses Of Quality And General Chaos
Supporters are divided on a match that's been genuinely difficult to watch, with long stretches of poor football interrupted by brief moments of decent play that keep them hoping for better. The overwhelming sense is one of frustration at the inconsistency and lack of sustained quality, leaving fans genuinely confused about what they're witnessing.
Fans Slam Early Time-Wasting Tactics As Pathetic
Supporters are furious that one team started deliberately wasting time from as early as the 10th minute, viewing it as a cowardly, negative approach that undermines entertaining football and ultimately backfires when sides can't sustain such cynical tactics for a full 90 minutes. The overwhelmingly negative reaction reflects fan frustration that the match has become about gamesmanship rather than actual competition.
Captivating Moments
People saw the replay multiple times. He got clobbered pretty hard. It was accidental from Konate, but he clearly wasn't faking shit.

Absolute bollocks. What this really shows is how much potential is being squandered by utterly shite tactics. This was the best game of the season, which makes it an outlier and not the norm. How many false dawns have we had so far this season? Let's just hope this bucks the trend.

What can I say: thanks to the team for 17 shots while being a man down. Of course, the game would’ve been more interesting without the red card, but it is what it is. Khusanov is a god in defense, Cherki is a god in attack. I hope Rayan convinced Pep with this performance that he deserves a spot in the starting lineup. Unbelievable... another fantasy of Pep's...why take out Haaland? when you have to score goals... it's 1-1 or you lose, you're still eliminated. the title is gone, the ucl is gone, on Sunday the cup will be gone too... until now I thought that Pep won these trophies for city but it seems I was wrong, for these trophies we have to thank Pep's wife! while they were together Pep was calm and could think clearly but since they divorced everything is over for Pep, and for us, since then Pep can no longer concentrate on football... we hopes he leaves, we need another manager, if he doesn't leave we will lose years and years without trophies...
City doesn't deserve Doku, he is the only one trying on the pitch, also Cherki and Ait-nouri, what a shame, Bernardo buried the team from the begining, and Halland is paralyzed, idk what is happening, but we will not win anything this season

The problem is the playstyle and tactics, not the players. Yall don’t remember city have played this slow, boring nonsense since 2020 really, not just after the treble. 2016-2019 city played much better football then 2021-2023 city. City just had the top end quality of players to bail guardiola out.
Think it's safe to say. Marmoush will want to leave in the summer, bad system for him and can't get game time. Foden fell off Semenyo will follow marmoush soon. Rodri is might be gone and he looks so rusty after that acl. The squad keeps changing alot ? How on earth do you expect to move on to big things.
Honestly we probably looked better today than we have in a month, Cherk magic, but nothing is falling for Haaland. 4 months ago he has a first half hat trick. Bernardo has to be smarter. Even if that goes in you stand a chance with 11 men on the pitch.
Because we spam Rodri as a lone 6 with 0 help for 90 minutes every game a few months after coming back from a horrific ACL injury. The only time we looked half decent when he played Oreilley next to him and we fucked it off for no reason at all.

This is the closest I've ever come to being done with the club. The last 3 performances have been so half-hearted that I feel embarrassed to be a Chelsea supporter. I can take the loss. Even the humiliation. But when most players don't even break a sweat or put on a serious press - it makes me feel like a fool.
Fuck this team. All the fans keep glazing palmer, Caicedo, pedro, and others when we win and never hold them accountable for losing. Because ownership, SDs and coaches are easy targets. The players are never given a reality check. No more! Palmer's checked out. Trev can't run, Pedro can't stop diving, Cucu can't make a forward pass, Fofana can't defend, Delap can't score. From where I stand - even a prime Pep-Jose hybrid couldn't win with this dysfunctional squad.
Subbing out Palmer, Pedro, and Enzo is against the fundamental spirit of the game. When you play in the academy the first thing thought is “play till the end” in a meaning that chase the ball till the end of the episode, never give up. He literally subbed out 3 core players accepting the defeat. This is the most pathetic decision I have ever seen from a Chelsea manager, not Jorgensen or Sarr or any other player choice from him, but this substitution.
If I’m a psg fan I’m not getting any satisfaction from that tie. This reminds me a lot of when we beat City 5-1 in the FA cup a few years ago. Yea we won, but they had a bunch of inexperienced players out there and Caballero who was their backup keeper at the time. We won but it just felt “meh” Same with this win for PSG, yea you won, but over half your goals were because of mistakes made by inexperienced players. But alas a win is a win, congratulations
The most demoralizing loss I can remember. Liam, you seem nice, but this is Potter 2.0. Maresca, the fanbase and football media at large owe you an apology. You have been vindicated and then some.

Sanchez Jörgensen Tosin Badiashile Garnacho Delap Sporting Directors Yank owners Rosenior And many more … just be somwhere else please. It’s shameful how mediocre this team and club has become. All this talk about future world beaters is just nonsence. Has everybody at managment level forgotten that at this level you need to be competitive ? No shame in losing games or ties at this level, i just didin’t see we could be this far off it. Just needed to vent and make my Arya Stark list 🤷
I guess these kinda results happen with young teams. The way we choked last week after 2-2, I believe the team lost all its confidence, morale, and momentum, or whatever little we had. We could see them gassed against Newcastle. Lets see if they have really downed the tools for the season, or they will fight for top 5. I guess some of us have seen it all over the years, so we will be there next season regardless. KTBFFH!

Indubitably. Eze - Best offensive player. Was creating chance after chance along with Rice. Needs to work on defensive contributions a bit more. Though, it's much better than before. Also, shouldn't let confidence become overconfident and affect his decision making. Otherwise, was on FIRE today. Zubi - Best controller today. Was setting and controlling the tempo with Rice so well. Got tired midway, which is understandable. Great to see Norgaard on and close the game. Gyo - He has improved so much. Must be flowing river of sweat on the training ground, cause his Hold up and Link up has gotten so much better. Linijng up with Rice so well. And he is willing to improve it even further. Rice was well Rice. Doing Rice things. You know the usual.

I noticed in the first half he was often stood with 2-3 Leverkusen players around him when we had the ball. He looked reluctant to receive the ball and, to be honest, wasn't making himself available in the way we play. I was a bit irked by that, I'm not going to lie. Then the second half happened and it was clear what he wanted. He wants that ball, and he wants to take on his man. He wants to break the lines by receiving the ball in tight spaces. It's a very different type of creation we are used to, with Odegaard dropping deep and pinging off passes. Eze wants to get the ball and either lay it off quickly or turn and take on his man. When we play his game, he is phenomenal. When we don't, he doesn't seem to effect play in the way we are used to with Odegaard.

I think White & Havertz were just okay. Saka is somewhere in Odegaard form crisis land. I think Arteta did not sub him off because he still expected him to be better off the ball then Dowman and Madueke. Also Arteta tends to not take his favorite players out when they hit a form crisis. I dont think Madmax will start a game this season unfortunately. Arteta is to focused on having his team compact. Dowman will probably remain the X-Factor Joker role when we desperately need a goal. Anyways rest of the squad was top. Special shout out to Gyökeres, Martinelli and Tross who did lots of great stuff that would fly under the radar. Also Gabriel ate their crosses for breakfast looking like Godzilla. Gabzilla. Motm is hard for me because we worked well as unit today. Probably Eze, Gabriel or Rice.
Eze MOTM, Zubi , Rice and Gyok also amazing. Saka another disappointing performance but looks to be getting back some sort of form. Trossard did ok despite not being at 100%. Norgaard was not good enough after he came on. Can see why Mikel has not been using him. There was one bad pass in particular that he smashed down the right channel when he should have just recycled it and kept the game ticking over. Bit worried about our situation since apparently Doku and city’s left were cooking vs Madrid. We need Timber back and White to be much fitter, otherwise too much responsibility on Mosquera.
He's posting 4d chess. Listen, he's tired of being marked by three people every time he has the ball, so he's playing like shit to lull everyone into thinking he's now shit. He'll come out of his shell in one of these finals. I don't really believe this, but I wish I did 😥

We didn’t lose. We won. Although I get what you mean. We were still eliminated. I’m not just being pedantic here for the sake of it. That’s the first game we’ve won in ages. And we need that to continue (not start) against Forest.
You guys did well tonight. Over the tie you actually had higher expected goals than they did. You should be proud of your team. You may yet go down, but you can remember this night as a proud one in spurs history. You got more expected goals over two legs than the 3rd best team in Spain. I couldn’t do that.

Not sure what point this serves now. We should be enjoying how well the team played individually and together tonight. That the football was sumptuous at times and the desire and intensity we’ve lacked for so long this season was back. It’s disappointing to go out but let’s enjoy tonight, we can’t change what’s been.
It's not really their fault. They don't pick the team, they didn't over water the pitch or pick the studs. They were just making the point that Vicario hasn't been good enough. I don't know if Kinsky is the answer but I'm pretty sure Vic is just lacking in too many areas to be the long term first option. He is a very good shot stopper though.
I got it from my dad. I passed it onto my 10yo son. I said it would be ok if he chose another team to support to which he replied, "Can't just support them during the good times, they need us when they're sad" and has worn his Vicario shirt every day since (approx 10 days ago). Proper yid. Stinky though.
I’m born and raised spurs, first game at 11 with my grandfather. My kid was a member at 3hrs old, first game at 6 months We live in the US now, for the west hame game we flew out 8pm Friday, landed 9am ish Saturday, hotel, shower, at the lane for 12. Checked in to return flight while at the corner pin. Flew out at 1pm Sunday, home by 8pm, school Monday. Both he and I would rather be losing as a yid than winning as anyone else. Once spurs always spurs.

Gala coach said the 4132 formation totally surprised him, Szobo was pinning down his left back and he never recovered from that. Then Slot said tactics don’t win games, the duels and runs make tactics happen. I can see people taking very different views on this.
very good but tbh I think Gala just werent there, they had one plan and that was dive and writhe around on the ground while the clock ticks down, and Osimhen got injured after 10 minutes so they basically had to scrap any ideas about long balls. And I think long balls are the biggest reason why we dont press like that almost ever, the opposition normally is super happy to just go long and bypass the press. I thought the ref very much played in to our hands though even though he did fall for some of the Gala theatrics, Anfield was super up for it, right from the jump our players were crashing in to challenges which was feeding in to the crowd which was feeding back in to the players in a loop. Normally in those situations this season the opposition just dives on every conctact and the ref gives one of our players a BS yellow which kills the energy.
What would've been the impact on fatigue, injuries and counter attacks against us?
Mind y'all, this garbage club does this all the time in the TR league. It's gotten to the point where they are so entitled to sniffing the floor, that it became a habit. When a ref doesn't whistle to their liking and expectations, that particular referee somehow doesn't get a match to ref for several weeks. It is no surprize that with their track record of pressuring and bagging referees, that at least three fifa ranked TR refs got sacked after scandalous derby performances in Gala's favour. It doesn't stop them from being cocky after winning the league with the way they do. Pathetic club.
Well, it tells a lot too, when the opposition keeper gets a 9.9 in a match where they conceded 4 times. https://preview.redd.it/yaewb6kyzvpg1.jpeg?width=1028&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42c0a402caa3aa18dd4c2646302171bca1ad8f4e

Fine for most of the time tbh. Won our duels, pressed in the right area’s and our fullbacks won their duels most of the time. We were a bit lucky Gala came to frustrate, slow the pace and gamble on a corner but we never let them get near. Biggest positive for me were that lots of clearances were actually aimed at people instead of just lobbed headers into midfield.

We finally turned up for a full game. It all starts with hard work, running intensity, duel intensity. That builds confidence and then we could play. By the time we went three up we were knocking the ball around more freely than at any other point this season, by a mile. Slot was animated, I think his job was on the line last night and he needed that. That should be a lightbulb moment for all the players and staff. We cannot and must not fail to use this result for the rest of our performances this season.

Slot calling out our missed chances is still good. I don't expect us to score every single time we have a chance on target, but if we had been more clinical in other games throughout the season, it would've turned around more than one or two games. There have been one too many games this season where we've had good moments, great chances at goal, and let it slip by us. A moment or two later, our intensity drops, the opponent goes through, and they're typically scoring with their first shot on target. Comparatively, our pressing today looked like *classic* Klopp-era pressing. We pressed as a whole. We cut off passing lanes. When opponents finally had to play out of the press, we were there to meet the pass with aggression and to win the second balls. Win, lose, or draw, this is the way many of us want to see us play. Glad Arne and the rest of the squad are happy with today - they deserved it. This type of football match is why we love this club.

Injury situation is worse than it ever was for Frank and we’ve put in two of our best performances of the entire season in back to back matches against two of Europes biggest clubs. Really happy with how these two matches went and it very easily could have been two wins in a row which we haven’t…

As long as Sarr and Gray are fit and in midfield we'll stay up. Having actual football players in the middle is making all the difference.

Easy to get caught up in the “what ifs” from the first leg, but really proud of how the squad showed up today. Huge improvement and something to build on heading into such a crucial few weeks in the prem.

They look pretty average without their dodgy pitch and getting a free kick for every dive

I saw Gray chew out Dragusin after a poor touch that he and Romero had to clean up. If there's a silver lining to this season perhaps it's him playing with more assertiveness and taking more responsibility.

Tudor's reign has been plagued by individual mistakes and red cards. His tactics have been pretty good and we are starting to see it now

He's not perfect, but massive credit to Tudor for getting this team playing proper football again. The last two games have been better than anything we saw from Frank all season.

Don't get me wrong i like Solanke but god is he soft, can't belive he's missing another game and will probably miss Forrest. Richarlison you could literally chop his legs off and he'd still be out on that pitch putting 110% in

LIV vs GAL

Great effort. That team sucked. One guy on Galatasaray would make Liverpool’s roster and he broke his arm ten minutes in. They do have a psychotic home atmosphere that psyches teams out. I don’t take much from today besides playing with some passion finally.

It was a good win, performance and result, but Galatasaray really offered nothing from the first minute and looked to give up after the 2nd goal. Credit to the lads for not taking the foot off the gas. Brighton away will be 10x tougher than tonight and I don’t fancy our chances of coming away with 3 points.

I'm still vehemently Slot Out after the Spurs game, but you know what? I'll take the win, as well as relieved we don't have to bear the shame of losing to Galatasaray three times. Mo deserved to have his 50th CL goal before we even contemplate him leaving us at the twilight of his career with us. If only Slot plays more like this match and less like against Spurs last Sunday, then I will be…

the difference was last time Gomez couldnt handle the pace of Yilmaz last time and he was able to approach the box and put crosses in. Frimpong covered him very well this time. Also with Frim having the pace to get back to backline Gravenberch was free mark his man instead of being +1 at the back line. I think Bradleys injury and Frimpongs time out hurt us most this season. Just having a…

It’s a shit season so I’ll take the opportunity to be happy when I can. With that said, I think it’s weird that people are talking about winning the CL as anything more than a statistical possibility. It would require teams better than us to play a lot worse than they have, and us to play better than we have. Beating Galatasaray at home and being the much better team is nice, but I’m not sure it…
