How these roles work
Blamed (Causer)
Fans named this player as the direct cause of a negative outcome. Examples: "Maguire gave away the penalty", "Ten Hag's formation cost us". Scores are amplified when the causer is blamed clearly.
Sympathy (Victim)
This player was on the receiving end of something — a foul, a bad decision, being dropped, or let down by teammates. Fans feel for them rather than against them.
Credit (Beneficiary)
Fans gave this player clear credit for a positive outcome — a goal, an assist, a key moment. Includes players who enabled something good to happen. This is the co-winner of a match moment.

It’s not just about single moments, it’s the entire squad building situation, stacked with injury prone players, mediocre CBs, lack of experienced players who know how to win, we used to have people like Azpi and Thiago for those moments that needed mature experienced heads to take charge. Straight From the Fans
The best fan quotes from this match — the funny, the sharp, the viral. These are ready to use in your video, in subtitles, or as thumbnails.
"This is the closest I've ever come to being done with the club. The last 3 performances have been so half-hearted that I feel embarrassed to be a Chelsea supporter. I can take the loss. Even the humiliation. But when most players don't even break a sweat or put on a serious press - it makes me feel like a fool."
"Fuck this team. All the fans keep glazing palmer, Caicedo, pedro, and others when we win and never hold them accountable for losing. Because ownership, SDs and coaches are easy targets. The players are never given a reality check. No more! Palmer's checked out. Trev can't run, Pedro can't stop diving, Cucu can't make a forward pass, Fofana can't defend, Delap can't score. From where I stand - even a prime Pep-Jose hybrid couldn't win with this dysfunctional squad."
"Subbing out Palmer, Pedro, and Enzo is against the fundamental spirit of the game. When you play in the academy the first thing thought is “play till the end” in a meaning that chase the ball till the end of the episode, never give up. He literally subbed out 3 core players accepting the defeat. This is the most pathetic decision I have ever seen from a Chelsea manager, not Jorgensen or Sarr or any other player choice from him, but this substitution. "
"If I’m a psg fan I’m not getting any satisfaction from that tie. This reminds me a lot of when we beat City 5-1 in the FA cup a few years ago. Yea we won, but they had a bunch of inexperienced players out there and Caballero who was their backup keeper at the time. We won but it just felt “meh” Same with this win for PSG, yea you won, but over half your goals were because of mistakes made by inexperienced players. But alas a win is a win, congratulations "
"The most demoralizing loss I can remember. Liam, you seem nice, but this is Potter 2.0. Maresca, the fanbase and football media at large owe you an apology. You have been vindicated and then some."

"I’m usually against this coaching carousel but i’ve never seen a manager that needed to go more than him "
Sign a couple veteran defenders and he’ll be fine
Could worse. Could be Slot.
the other day I was arguing with someone who thought Rosenior deserves a chance cuz he's "a decent bloke" 😒
Which mid table managers rumored to replace him this time?
Here is the problem, it's pretty obvious they aren't going to bring in anyone who is actually a top manager because 1. a top manager is going to want to run things and demand certain players which is the last thing the DS team and Eghbali want. and 2 knowing that why would a top manager want the job
I never liked the hire in the first place
Bring in Tommy T after the WC and sign some competent CBs.
I want to believe in Liam and want to be off the “new manager every year rollercoaster” but he’s in so far over his head. Just not even close to competent enough for the stage he’s on. I know he’s been hard done by the team construction, but he’s making massive errors with the team sheet every week it seems. I also don’t understand this stubborn insistence to play out of the back when your defenders minus Reece are all complete bozos and neither of your keepers can play with their feet.
Every year? At this point we are rotating a different manager in every couple of months just expecting this team to instantly become better. Klopp could walk through that door tomorrow and that’s not going to fix what is going on here.
Bro if this dude isn't gone by the morning I dunno man.
"Thanks Rosenior 🫩"
Yeah it's Rosenior fault huh? This sub can be draining asf with all the crying
Brother he started Jorgensen in the first leg, then played a back 5 in the 2nd. The last time we played a back 5 it was so bad he had to change back to a back 4 at half time.
Not solely but he has certainly done a lot of damage
Of course it is, threw the game in the first leg and the second wasn’t much better. This is a team we just smashed 3-0 not long ago
In a preseason game in the summer lol. Are you really counting that?
Do you see managers grabbing players by the throat after losing a pre season?
Is it a preseason game? Players were literally leaving/coming in squads when the tournament was going on
So January is also pre season?
Why are you being dumb on purpose? The Fifa world cup is literally a preseason game but you want to defend and cry about it. Keep twisting yourself in a pretzel
When do you see a manager grab a player by the throat after a pre season friendly? When do you get £100m for winning a pre season friendly? It was a competitive game that both teams wanted to win. You’re the one twisting yourself into a pretzel, if you’re happy losing 8-2 then i dont lnow what to say to you.
"Will the Sporting Directors ever be held accountable? This shit doesn't even affect my mood anymore. Zero expectations."
Lucky u. It’s my fkn bday today. Haven’t been depressed in a while +
Sorry to hear that mate, happy birthday! +
Up until now those dickheads have been able to sit proud deluded that they’re the best team in the world. Well today they’ve seen what happens when PSG show up and play serious football. They need to take a long hard look at themselves
Gonna use Colwill and CWC fatigue as an excuse, and they need another year.
The sporting directors likely saw the CWC as their win, rather than Maresca's, and you can't blame them.  Imagine handing a guy a team worthy of winning the conference league and club World Cup, fhen let him break it down, and still ask for a magic billet of a defender? Just seems greedy at that point, from the outside looking in.  When raising a child you often get faced with the dilemma where he gets bored of his old toys and needs a shiny refresh, but you should never encourage that, because the point is for him to develop with the old reliable toys.
This is such disrespectful bullshit I don't know where to start. Shut your fucking mouth before your brain falls out of it
Maresca was a snake oil salesman who held the team at ransom without developing anyone that actually needed it, he would've had the board spend a another 10 billion in the next 10 years if he had his way with us
Sporting directors doesn't even deserve to play at CWC and we had one hard match there against PSG. To be honest we got lucky but in first place with these directors we will never ever be able to play at CWC again. Conference league c Mon ? Even championship team should be able to win that cup or at least play in final
We'll be invited back to the CWC because the competition is hardly even merit based, whether or not we'll win is yet to be seen but if we fall to the Europa league we'll just win that and everyone will forget this season
What ? Only team that win CL can be participate in CWC u can't participate because someone invite u
"When you put a first year med student in charge of a triple bypass surgery and it goes wrong, do you blame the student or the daft cunts that put them there in the first place?"
The operation was succesfull but the patient died.
This exactly
Spitting facts
I blame both because the med student could have refused
Not even a chelsea fan and just came across this comment. Clearlake basically cannot sell Chelsea at a loss since I think it was done under their latest flagship fund, which is already underwater. Other Clearlake investments are already being kept on through continuation vehicles, which is never a good sign for a fund
Bang on
Both because the student should know better than to take on the job.
Would you humiliate yourself in public for 10 million dollars? Would anyone blame you for saying yes?
It doesn't really matter because even if I did take the job, it wouldn't change. I'd still be partially at fault. If I took the job for 1billion, or 1 buck, I would still be partially at fault of the blame for taking the job and producing poor results.
Would you reject a job with a very good salary just because you are not ready to take it?
"Do we sack Rosenior? I can't watch this club like this anymore... This is beyond embarrassing "
No. Quit being overactive. My god this sub is a cesspool.
Overreacting? We just got beaten 8-2...
Yes, overreacting. That's what I said, and what I meant.
The sporting director will just choose another yes man, he’s nowhere near the level but the next guy will be even worse
He did not sign these players But he also should not have had this position thrown at him in the first place
It's not roseniors fault our defence is shit, he didn't sign the players and no matter what manager you have they can't get blood out of a stone.
Maresca won these lot 3-0, Maresca did the same to Barcelona. With Maresca our game at Alianz arena wasn’t this embarrassing and we were doing well even if we lost
Rosenior also beat them with strasbourg at home and they were 3-1 up away before it ended 3-3. Maresca also lost 3-0 to the mighty brighton which was one of back to back losses to them in the same week when they elimnated us from the cup. Either way maresca wasn't sacked for his awful run of games, he was sacked because he ignored the medical team, kept chatting up other clubs to force a pay rise and then just walked out on the players after the bournemouth game and quit. He was always going to have his 2nd year review in the summer. Playing musical chairs with managers has got us no where and it never will, if rosenior needs defenders that suit his system then sell all the crap defenders we've got and bring him in some new players. They're getting sold anyway and we're near the end of the season so may as well get him some defenders that work for him.
It’s not his fault the defenders he has aren’t good enough, he is at fault for playing a system which makes us far worse defensively than we’ve ever been. Both can be true.
I just don't see the point in getting rid of him, even if we get a manager who plays a system where we're a bit better defensively we are still going to need to replace most of the defence as they're shit. May as well replace them with defenders that suit rosenior rather than changing managers yet again.

I just don't understand what's up with our managers and playing our guys out of position? Last game it was James in the midfield and Enzo at 10, this game it's Enzo at 10 and Sarr as FB. I understand Gusto is sick and James is injured but both Josh and Caicedo definitely have more games at FB than Sarr. Shit, even Hato at right would make more sense since Rosenior is inverting the FBs…

Chelsea FC the club of all merits. Defeated by the almighty BlueCo and Clearlake. Terrible Sporting directors. The absolutely silly decisions they seem to sprout. We all know Roman wasn’t roses, but these Clearlake guys are like glitter. Always come back to haunt you and you can’t get rid of them. I really don’t want to be negative but it just feels like the work that was achieved last year, yes…

I still can't grasp that Rosenior got this gig. Sacked from Hull fucking City, mid table ligue 1, but speaks well enough where morons (these "sporting directors") fall for the sweet talk. Ultimately this will be every hiring while Winstanley and Stewart are employed by this club and the club structure/SD-manager relationship remains unchanged.
